Please tell me what your definition of "combat logger" is? He ran to ensure he wasn't followed before logging out. Combat logging to me is actually engaging/returning fire, then logging out.

Only problem with your post is that in my experience 9/10 times I've been stopped it's asshats that want nothing more than to be sadistic idiots. Those are the people who are part of the problem.

This game has given me almost 300hrs of fun so far. It's the only game where I have an adrenaline rush during a firefight and am shaky afterwards. I don't shoot on sight. I attempt interaction first. If you don't like the game that's fine. There are a lot of people who don't like the game in its current state. Which to some extent I agree that it could get boring as there isn't much content yet. However once all the content is in I can imagine that there will be more people playing the SA than the Mod. That's my opinion. This game isn't for everyone. If you don't like it that's fine. Go find something else to hold your interest. As for the flawed concept that keeps coming up, you can speculate all you want but we won't know what Rocket meant. I have my ideas that the concept is flawed because the game is meant for player interaction and there is more killing of each other. Just my thoughts.

Buy it. You will get more than your money's worth of fun from it!

Calling "admin abuse" is just like all the threads claiming "hacker". No difference. It happens, and sometimes it's just odd coincidences. It will continue to happen just as hacking does. Take note of servers that do it and report them. If you don't do YOUR job of reporting those admins will still have control. In the end enough reports will have that server canceled without refund. So report your heart out.

As I'm sure you're well aware there are alot of other things that get abused. One such case being the respawn. If you get a spawn you don't like. Kill yourself to get a new one. That's abusing a game mechanic. Being able to lean back and see through walls. Abusing of game mechanics. The point I'm trying to make with those examples is that even though it's not intended, people will ALWAYS find a way to abuse what ever is given to them. Everyone always wants that edge. Goes on in any game people play.

Ok so it's against the rules for a admin to restart their server in hopes of getting their gear back. We got that point. (I don't give a shit what this post was orginally about) Though it may not be against the rules to server hop to regear after dying.. it sure is a pussy ass move instead of staying on the server you died on. Hell I bet if you skip Elektro and Cherno/Balota and go to Military base above Kamenka it won't be looted. Nor would Zelengorsk. You want to stop the admins abusing their powers... Then become an admin yourself. Run your own server the "moral" way.

Getting kicked 4 times in a row and having a reset character sounds like a network issue to me. There are such things as coincidences. I know it might be hard to understand... ADMINS CANNOT RESET CHARACTERS I don't know what makes you think the admin knew who to kick unless you were the only ones on the server. Or once again some one in his group or the admin themselves used ESP.... And for the record NETWORK ISSUE does not mean it was on your side. Could be you or the host having issues. I would say use common sense but that never happens anymore.

I get blamed for resetting my server all the time. My server resets every 4hrs but at an odd interval. It's NEVER the exact same time stamp every 4hrs though. Yet it's my fault right?

Admins have the ability to kick players from servers. However the reasons need to be for abusive language or hacking/exploits.

Is this recent or old news? I find it coincidental that this stuff comes out after Rocket announces hes leaving in 10mos.

I have no such power as an admin. Most I can so is set messages for the login, kick players, and restart. Pretty sure other admins can say the same. Oh and I can set the time I want the server to reset.

It's not enabled for admins. In game we have no power other than to restart the server. If he knew your name and was broadcastif across the server then it was a hack.

I was upset at first but I realized this is exactly what people need to understand. Visionaries are great at coming up with a concept or idea and getting the ball rolling. However if you keep them on too long they become a hindrance by pushing the project a million different directions. Dean was doing this with the game already by all the different things he wanted to bring in. Is it a bad thing? Yes and No. Yes because it leaves the game with no clear direction and the development process can get sidetracked easily. Also, no because they constantly bring new ideas to the table and usually get really creative. Dean has seen what he is doing with the game and I think he partially understands he is the one to blame for the slow development by being extremely picky with what he wants in his "baby". *edit* Copied my post from reddit. It's sad he's leaving. I'm scared this game might make a wrong turn and as some people have said that Bohemia will not listen to the community as much as with Dean as the project lead. Most game companies do what they think will make them more money. I do have to agree with who ever said it that the game will never be the way Dean wants it to be simply because of how the community plays it. And I feel the only way to combat that is had they made The Z's the biggest threat from the start of the project. Most of the community has lost sight of the way this game was meant to be played. I feel this has also been part of the reason Dean is stepping down.

Bubble who do you host through? I have yet to see the option for that with gameservers.

Some servers have hourly resets, 2hr resets, 4 hour resets. It could be purely coincidental. Could also be admin abuse. Could also be the host having problems. My server resets at some the oddest times. I've had it reset on the desired time then reset 40mins later.

The only thing I don't understand is that even if you know the name of the person you encountered you still would not know whether or not they were and admin for said server unless the names are similar. I know my screen name is no where close to my server name.

That makes me want to do a scavenger hunt type event with yellow boxes and a weapon with ammo can as a end reward.
