    You also need to keep in mind the game isn't set in the US, where nearly every resident has a weapon or two or three.

    I'm going to tell you this before you get a flood of replies. USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION. There's many threads about this already... There are no private hives as of yet. 3rd person servers and 1st person servers run on different hives though.

    Are you sure? My friend died this morning from falling of the factory in cherno, I have survived one or two times before from falling, but that was due to severe desync etc, are you sure that wasn't the issue?

    You know you can check through steam while in a server to see all the players and their steam names etc.

    I would say the same for the rice. Player A shoots player B in the back, puncturing a rice bag with a bullet, now even though the rice bag had a bullet go through it, does this mean that the rice is inedible? I wouldn't say so. Same goes for a few of the other items.

    It's there to leave you vulnerable yes, but 100% vulnerable? I wouldn't agree with that.

    Ah I see. Set a 30 second timer while being able to look around per 10min, if it's done again within the 10minutes then it will default back to logging you out completely, leaving you vulnaruable for 30 seconds? Also set a perimeter within 50m or so, if someone comes within that range, the timer goes away, or the timer still works, BUT it keeps your character logged in for another 30 seconds like now? I don't know, just spittballing some suggestions.

    Well in my humble opinion, I agree with the step they are taking, to a certain degree. Logging out should NOT keep your character online for 30 seconds, as you can't guarantee your safety. Instead, I'd like to see a feature where you press ESC > exit, then a logout timer starts for 30 seconds in the game, giving you the ability to move in a fixed position, if you move or fire your weapon, the logout timer stops, halting your character from loging out.

    I can't see how people complaning thread after thread will help anything? Play on a first person only server....PROBLEM SOLVED. It baffles me that people complain about this when there's plenty of first person only servers, that are FULL.

    This is suppose to be a realistic game, now special skins that distinguish between bandits and heroes is the complete opposite. This is no longer the dayz mod, forget about hero/bandit skins.

    I agree, it is quite annoying with the waiting times. I'm just waiting for a good private hive to come out, which is where my allegiance will stay. Problem solved.

    Please PLEASE fix the ladder suicide issues....It's happened to me and my mates too many times..and quite frankly it ends it for us until it gets fixed. Nothing like having a fully geared character for a week then dying because instead of grabbing the ladder, he lunges off of it, off the building, in the grips of the grim reaper.

    Well as of now this is what its on, and all the servers are running this. by default all games update via steam anyways, so i wouldnt think thats the issue.

    I think most people are having these issues, the bug section is riddled with it. No matter if its hardcore or not, it resets for me. I wont be playing until it gets fixed.

    Go into steam right click "dayz" go to properties, then go to the betas tab, and opt into the experimental version.

    For me it seems to reset on every server...so far... I hope it's not like this for server hoping etc, kind of defeats the purpose of playing with friends when you are on different servers. This is what private hives are for!

    The reseting of character glitch really bugs me, happenes to me all the time...along with getting teleported back 5 minutes after running for quite a ways. And the ladder glitch...which has killed myself and my friends multiple times..

    Well I'm running a $2000 gaming rig with 2 670's and when I enter cities it drops to <30, so I can imagine what it's like for you. outside of the main cherno/elektro etc areas its 60> though. it purely comes down to your rig, the the games optimization, but I don't think it'll get that much better. I've just gotten so used to it from arma2.
