I wanna say a few months back there was a rule or something (cant think of the right word) implemented in the game that if you hide/save anything outside of the normal map(what smasht_Au showed the pic of), that if it goes unchecked for X time that it will despawn. I cant remember the exact time limit and if it applies to vehicles and tents or just vehicles. So since then i havent ever hide anything past that black border, let alone travel past it. Know i still look for anything past it if i can see that far. But most of the time i find everything below that line. Good luck.

Ive found a URAL at the north of the map right of the edge of the dead zone. It was on the other side of a big hill. All out in the open with a lot of barb wire around. So got in and hide it some where. And went back and ended up finding a offroad in a gully up in the north too. Hide that sweet ride, but came back later and both where gone. So some will hide in plain open site, just have to make the trek. I havent tried the west side of the map, next time im home im gonna give that a shot. Good luck man.

Im not sure about that they spawn only on the island. I was just south west of Pobeda(spelling map got to blurry read properly) Dam and just north of Gvozdno. It needed repairs but the guns worked. Something in red some in yellow. Also was empty of gear. And was just sitting in an open field. I was tempted to fly it but i think i read some where that you dont fly choppers unless they are all in the green so i didnt want to take a chance. But now that i know it easy to re-gear minus NVGs I would of flown the thing and repaired it. Which i tried doing but by the time i got back up there it was gone. So yeah it might spawn in other location, cuz i doubt someone would just leave it out in the open like that broken or not. Im just sayin....

Ok so a buddy of mine just told me a experience threw skype of what happened to him while driving a bus. Heres the facts: Empty server except for him and 3 or 4 other friends. All of them riding in the bus, plus the bus was holding weapons they had found on their own or already on the bus. Headed north on a paved road. Bus was fully repaired and all system were green. My friend was the driver, noticed the windshield just cracked on its own. He ask other riders if they saw it, that all confirmed they did see the crack windshield. So he got out fixed the windshield. When he got out the windshield had fixed it self some how. So he got back in the bus and went on his way. But no more then 30 seconds or so later the wind shield cracked again and the hole bus blew up. Killing 2 of the riders and leaving the other 2 with burns covering there entire body but barely alive. He said he didnt hit anything was just driving in a straight line. So my question is this. Is this part of the problem with the latest patch, could it be a hacker/scripter of some sort, could the server just be buggy some way shape or form. Any ideas or help would be great thanks. Trying to find another home/regular server, since our last one kept kicking us for some reason and all our cars and tents vanished(which i know is part of the bugs of the latest patch). So yeah thats it, thanks for any help or ideas.

Im just saw this and that the app is finally out for iOs. Wish i had seen it when i was still home and playing. But not im offshore and having trouble downloading it, due to the shit bandwith of the boat im on. But once i get it ill let you know what i think. Thanks for the hard work.

I have found multiple Mountain Dews. My character now has had one on him for over two weeks now i believe. All my other buddies have died one way or another. But i keep on truckin threw. Got close to drinking it though the other day due to looking for camps or vehicles in the north. Maybe the curse has jumped threw me to them since i have it and they dont. Not sure though.

I second this. I have a g series ASUS that i bought at bestbuy for around 1200. And havent looked back. Plays DayZ with out a problem. Plays Skyrim on highest setting i believe with out a problem. Just have to get use to the size and packin it around. Also finding a backpack to fit it locally in my town didnt happen. Had to go to amazon, which i ended up saving money there too. In the end it plays it great and even surprises my buddy with his huge desktop and all the magical wonders that it does. Was able to install a game and play dayz with only minor lag. So good luck with your descision.

Was playing on a server. Needed some food so i shot an animal. Gutted it but couldnt take the raw meat. Is anyone else having this problem. Any help would be great thanks.

I keep getting kicked for the battle eye thing. But it says battle eye failed to update. Im on my normal server ive been playing on forever now. I was gone from the game for a week. what am i missing now. I did have to re-install a earlier beta to play that server is that the problem. As in the server isn't updated enough and could be the reason its completely empty of other people. Any help would be great. thanks

Id stopped in Stary also to gear there. A Compass or GPS would help too. But other then that on a low pop server just go north and find some tents and anything else you can find and re-hide it. You can shift-click on the map to help give you direction also. But head towards the top of the map easy way to find some loot. Good luck...

So was in the woods up in the north. Just made up it there with parts for a helicopter i found, that needed some parts. Well i was in my van messing with the inventory with the parts and trying not to over load the van. I had noticed at one point that when i ate some food it took a lil bit for it to disappear, but just thought it was some lag. Well I closed the gear menu and saw the "no message received" message. And i was still in the van. Now i should of not panicked but i just aborted the game properly and waited a bit to get back in the game. Now from when that's happened before I couldn't move so i figured i wouldn't be able to get out the van anyways. And since i didn't originally find the van it wasn't a big deal that it is now gone. And i got most out of it that i wanted except for a M4 SD, but still no big deal. But is the van really gone. I've been running around the hillside for an hour or two thinking that im just not at the spot i left it at. So any idea that it might pop back to where it was when i was in it. Or am i shit out of luck. Any help would be great thanks.

Well i went back to where i think i found it at and no luck. Im just gonna give up on it and find something else better. Got enough supplies on me to keep me alive in the woods. Thanks for the help though.

I was curious when I was skirting the north end of the map looking for anything i could salvage. How do i tell where the map border or end or edge is at. I would think it would be bad to log out when your outside the map but Im not sure. Any insight on this would be great thanks. Also search all the key words i could think of and nothing popped up.

I got a question. Its about when that message popped up about the no message received(in red font) or whatever it said. I was gonna watch the your video buts it gone now to double check what it said. So what im wondering is i was in a van i found when that happened with the message and my van is now gone. Im pretty sure its not a hacked van or anything. So am i shit out of luck or something or need to wait till next server restart and it might end up where i left it. Any help would be great thanks.

Alright sounds good Ill give the smoke a try. I was just gonna throw a frag as soon as they spawned and blow all the zeds up but ive heard bad things happen with frags on dayz. Thanks for the help.

Ok I got a question. Does the chopper have the loot or does the zombies have the loot that you have to shoot them to get it, or it laying on the ground somewhere. And does throwing a smoke grenade work for pulling the zeds away. My friends found a crash site too. So im trying to figure out how to get the most of it. Any help would be great thanks.

For my commander under the section that says Arma 2. It says out of date so i click intall latest. Just like above poster it doesnt complete, just sits at 100%. Since its under Arma 2 i would assume its the beta files, or am i wrong. So manually updating it will fix it. Would i go to daymod.com or somewhere else for the beta file. Any help would be great.

So I updated six updater earlier today. Didnt take long at all. Didnt take long to get into a server. But then i noticed that there is no humanity meter in my debug window. And the six updater screen isnt at 1.7.2.5, it shows 1.7.2.4. So Ive always updated threw six and havent ever had trouble at all. Is there some new step that im missing. So besides a slightly harder time finding a server that works for me im happy with everything. Even got a teleport to balota which was nice when i last logged in. So any help would be great thanks. And Rocket keep up the good work you'll get it all figured out eventually.

So is the six updater able to update and play. Its not a problem if i cant find a server ill find one eventually, night or day, empty or full Ill play it. Any knowledge would be great thanks.

Stuck at loading screen for me. But sounds like a good server to be a part of.

So had a great hangover day playing DayZ. Making my way north when i went to debug forest. Ended being able to walk out some where west of NWAF. Messed around there for a bit, ended up finding my best gun to date. Which was a Camo M4a3, which was great until i dropped my alice pack some how. And so ended up dropping that and getting a M14 with a red dot. Oh by the way the M14 is loud as shit too. Oh and i ended up finding the big coyote pack too. And then found a M16 with launcher too. Started having some issues with zombies and me not watching out for myself. So i started to get low on blood. Also at some point my guy got sick. Which by the amount of coughing hes doing hes pretty sick i guess. Got a question though. I notice the body temperature is gone and i don't think it was raining on my server i was playing on. But if you don't have a temperature to watch how to you know to keep your self dry and warm or inside. So to me that doesn't make sense if you don't have a body temp why get sick. So now I'm on the hunt for antibiotics now. Which leads me to my next part of the story. So it took me a while to find a cow to shoot and eat to get my blood back up. Blurry vision plus fading light made it hard to find food. Also had a cow vanish on me too, no big deal. Its all part of the life. So i found another cow after running around for a while. I had to log out to do something. So I logged into another server and ended up in debug plains cuz nothing but grass could be see forever. Also it said i died but i could see me standing there though. So I logged and found another server which when i spawned i could hear the coast. That didn't make sense but its works cuz i need to find a hospital anyways. So i headed west towards elektro to find the hospital and hope to find some antibiotics. So in the end yeah this game has bugs and other stuff that is just part of the game right now. But if you get just lucky enough the bugs work for you. Two teleports in one day, got sick, over 100 zombie kills, zero murders, lost stuff, found better stuff, been alive for over two day i think. This game is just great that all i have to say, cant wait to see the stand alone version also. So if this is in the wrong spot sorry, i still feel like a newbie when it comes to a lot of stuff. So i think that's about it.
