Not when the host company changed the ToS after they closed down the server in order to motivate it. (If we are all talking about the same case here, HFB servers) This is an issue with the hosting company and not an abuse by the DayZ team tho IMO. (Funny how that thread was one of the 2% lost in the forum move... :))

I wouldn´t say it´s a bad community but I would say there are alot of people complaining about people disconnecting but very few people complaining over, for example, serverhopping for gear. Just sayin...

Then they would have missed out on a cool gameplay experience. People are just too afraid to lose their characters that they miss out on so much potentially cool shit. A failed highway robbery in the middle of the night lit up with roadflares would be so cool that it would be well worth a number of restarts.

Why not just have a logout timeer combined with cooldown time before joining a new server. Annoying both the DC people and the serverhoppers in one swift go sounds like a good idea to me.

It was. Airfields, coastal cities and Stary Sobor are all CoD country and are best avoided unless you are interested in PvP or laying still in a bush with your scope aimed at a loot spawn "hunting your prey". ;) A nice karma experiences was meeting some random guy close to NE airfield who were out of ammo and food. Gave him some rounds for the winchester and a couple of cans. We seperate and a couple of minutes later i aggro some Zeds and since they are abit to close for my CZ i leg it. A couple of incoming shots later and the Zeds are dead by the hands of my random friend.

I kinda fail to see how laying with a sniper rifle pointing at a loot spawn or high traffic area waiting for some random person to walk by becomes "hunting your pray". I am not saying that´s what you do but it´s the scenario in probably 90+% of the times I´ve gotten killed by another player.
