I've never contributed to these forums until really about a month ago is when I made my account. And I'm actually sorry that I haven't been looking closely at whats being done like everyone who plays this game should.I'd lurk but I've never really been actvie on here. But I will be now. I've actually been playing DayZ for a while (July) so please don't assume I've only been playing for a month and am now complaining because while I'm not active here I do love and play this game. I didn't even know they were making 3D models or you bet I probably would have said something. Also keep in mind that I know it wasn't the Mods who asked for it and it was just a nice gesture from the Dev Team. If I keep saying "Mod" for some reason just please excuse that.

If you think I'm jealous you are sadly mistaken. I'm have absolutely no knowledge on coding or adding anything into the physical game itself. I am grateful that we have a staff that is willing to do all the hard work, and I know they don't get the thanks they deserve. But I'm not jealous and wouldn't be shallow enough to give a shit. If(Big IF) I was a on the actual Dev Team or a Mod on this site I would not mind one bit if my name was not on a piece of food in a video game. I would actually be against it still and would voice my opinion. And you're right everything in this Mod is %100 free. But does that mean we should just accept every single thing they add into the game without quesiton? Are you really that willing to just take anything they give to you? Let's say this patch was absolutely terrible ( Ex. Added in Go Karts / Chainsaws/ Bunny Costumes/ Clown Suits, etc) Would you really say nothing even if you disagreed just because the mod is free? This is a community mod for the hundredth time. Are you the kind of guy who doesn't vote just because "You get what you get and you don't get upset?" Feedback is part of it. Get over it.

Actually it's not "their" baby......it's a community mod. You should google it. And yeah I guess technically it's only a few guys who are actually doing the work. And I wouldn't even know where to start making actual changes within the code itself. But I trust that the Dev Team will follow through with Rocket's wishes by keeping this Mod open and accepting of feedback, And I'm glad we have a good enough Staff that they actually listened and I thank them.

Ok so you call us idiotic, immature and arrogant and don't even support any reasoning behind it. I'm glad you took the time to read "nearly everything" that was said. And this is a fucking community mod. Do you know what that means? That means that if the community is unhappy with something then it will respond with feedback for a change which is exactly what we did. We're not just sitting there complaining for no reason either, we have reasons. We aren't just sitting there like "Cans R Stoopid and so r Mods." Unlike you however who is just bitching about us "bitching" yet you don't even explain why you feel that "Herpy Derps Canned fucking Muffins" doesn't infact ruin immersion of a zombie apocalypse simulator (which is essentially what this mod is supposed to be. People play this game for the realism just as much as any other reason really and it's what Dean Hall and the community has always expected of the mod. Do they deserve an easter egg maybe or some recognition? Absolutely. But this is beyond Easter Eggs or little personal things left in by mods. So why don't you respond with something useful that actually adds to the conversation instead of bitching about the complainers.

You see it wouldn't even be half as bad if it was rare like mountain dew. But it's hardly an Easter Egg when it's on the most common items in the game.... Easter Eggs are supposed to be unique and few and far between.

Hey man I don't want you to think we don't like the designs themselves. Because you did a really good job with that part and they do look nice. I appreciate the hard work you must have put into it. It's just the names that need changing in all honesty. I'm sorry your hard work isn't being recognized in a positive light but I'm really glad about the names change.

Did you guys not realize how much this ruins the atmosphere of the game, or do you just not care? I understand you guys want some recognition for what you do and you deserve it too. But slapping mods internet aliases on some of the most commonly used items in the game just ruins the immersion so bad and I know you want the best for the mod. I'm not the only one to complain about this either, as I've read alot of responses from people who take issue with these names. I think I speak on behalf of the community when I say we are absolutley grateful for what you guys do here and for continuing to expand the mod so Rocket and the development team can work on the Standalone while we aren't kept in the dark. I ask you kindly to please atleast consider reworking the names ( the logos themselves are great and nicely done) for the next update. As far as the rest of the update you guys did a terrific job and it's really nicely done.

To be fair most of the Mods didn't know this was going on and did not ask for this. Although the names themselves are still a problem.

If the products had different names people probably wouldn't be complaining in the first place so long as they were reasonable.

I actually wasn't aware that the Mods were put in as a gesture, so I'm sorry if I came off as saying you were all tripping over your ego in the original post. That being said I still disagree that it should be in the game still.

The reason I don't play WarZ is to avoid things like these because the development team here actually cares about the game.

It may be that these people are hardworking enough to deserve recognition but it doesn't have to be in the form that it is or so blunt. For example if they wanted to add something of their own ID into the game they could have made names that were atleast somewhat reasonable and realistic but still could have hinted who it was referring to. Why couldn't it be Razor(RAZOR even) instead of R4Z0R or Mizzly Yizzly?

The food and drink names are absolutely atrocious and I don't know what the hell the mods were thinking. Ego-trippin. Derpy Hooves Canned Muffins? Seriously? So obnoxious that bronies have to force MLP into literally everything. I understand these are the people who are working on the game now and are actually making these updates while I'm just playing, but you'd figure the people making it would care more about ruining immersion than slapping their internet aliases onto a can for some internet fame. Everytime I pick up a "mZLY soda" or "Derpy Hooves Muffins" now it immediately ruins the atmosphere. If any of the mods are reading this I ask you to please have some self-respect for what you do. As a community we are already thankful for you guys and you have nothing to prove so please change the items for the next patch.

Thanks. It's going to be a while but I'll be back eventually. Worst part isn't the fact that I can't game actually it's that I can't put any music on my ipod without having to erase it and sync it with this shitty computer. I've got a bunch of music that I wont be able to add for a month lol. I'm thinking it's time to get a cheapo laptop for music and torrents.
