Why No Epoch Servers With No Traders?

Looks kinda cool but traders with out safe zones are still traders.
  2. Why are there no Epoch servers with traders turned off? I can see why some people like traders, I had fun for a bit. Now, I personally feel traders run the DayZ experience. There is no need to scavenge anything. When one spawns in, loot a fire station, get a gun, sell said gun, buy backpack supplies and a cheap vehicle. Now all you do is run guns to make money. I miss the thrill of finding an ALICE pack in a supermarket; finding those fuel tank parts that you need to get that truck up and running. Also I find I get a lot less human encounters in places that don't have military loot (i.e. supermarkets) and a lot more encounters at places that do. It's odd to me there's not enough people that feel this way to populate a server. Maybe not many, or even a few, but at least one server. Is it really that niche? I guess I have found a couple Epoch servers that have no traders, but they are hardcore survival servers. Don't know if I want to play on a server that has no can food spawns. Might be fun, probably better than normal Epoch, but alas they are all empty or near empty. Side note what happened to Origins? I quit playing for awhile and when I came back Origins was totally dead.
  3. How many vehicles are on the map? I hate traders, they make scavenging completely useless. But I also don't much care to play marathon simulator 2014.
  4. This server sounds awesome, but the map is a total deal breaker. Why Namalsk? I hate Namalsk. Being kind of a niche server that has trouble getting active people why pick such an unpopular map? I feel the server would fill up faster on Cherno or even Taviana (<3 Taviana). Maybe I will check it out, because traders ruin DayZ IMO, but I don't know if I can put up with Namalsk.

    Bury your stuff

This is a great idea. Tents are near useless on a server that people actually play on. If a server consistently has 50 people playing, that's hundreds if not a thousand different people playing on that server. The maps are big but they just aren't that big where you can hide a tent (That sticks out like a sore thumb) from a thousand people. Last night I was trying to find a good spot to set up my tent. Looked at the map, found 4 different spots. At each spot I visited there were already tents and/or vehicles hidden. It would be nice to have a small spot where you could stash some stuff, and be relatively sure it is going to be there when you come back. Having your buried cache disappear when you die is stupid. What would be the point?
  6. Looking for a couple of laid back hero-type survivors to roam the wasteland with. Not really interested in pillaging and murdering the few remaining survivors. Personally I spend my time trying to help vulnerable people I run into. Would like to help put an end to the lives of the many bandits, but that's not going to happen as a lone wolf. A bit about me, I am 26 and play in the Eastern Time Zone. I am usually on in the late afternoon late into the evening. It has come to my attention that I smoke entirely too much pot. I have also come to accept this, so if you cannot please don't reply. It'd be cool to find some other stoned survivors, but I don't really care if you don't smoke as long as you don't care that I do. Been playing ARMA 2 for several months now, and I have gotten pretty good at it. With that being said I am only a few days old in DayZ, but I am learning quick already knowing the basic mechanics. So lets get together, kill some walkers, murder some bandits, and possibly smoke some good herb.
