Yep, your key was stolen. The only way a key could be stolen, is through software. You or someone else must have downloaded some nasty software which is designed to log and steal keys. The next step you take, is to contact Battleye. They may tell you to contact Bohemia Interactive, and Bohemia will decide if you are eligible for a replacement key.

Here's an original idea! What if you could turn into a zombie after a zombie kills you?
Death_Dealer replied to kasigawa's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
It won't happen. Rocket stated(no source) that he did not want a feature like this added. -
The ghost train scene from Ghostbusters.. add that please.

Quote of the century right here, folks. As for the OP's problem, try going into your registry files and deleting your ArmA 2 OA folder. To get to the registry, go to "Start", find "Run", and enter "regedit", and click run. Once there, navigate your way to the ArmA 2 OA folder. Here is the path- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE → SOFTWARE → Wow6432Node → Bohemia Interactive Studio → ArmA 2 OA. Right click click on the folder and delete it. If it is saying you do not have permission to delete it, go though the steps below.. To delete the ArmA 2 OA folder from your registry*, highlight the ArmA 2 OA folder, go to the "edit" tab, click "permissions...", and then click advanced. Find your computer's user name, highlight it, and click "edit". From there you should see a table of checkmarks. Where it says "Full control", highlight allow. This will grant you complete control, thus letting you delete the ArmA 2 OA folder. Once you do that, be sure to click "apply". You should return to the window called "Permissions for ArmA 2 OA". Look for the box that contains "Full control" "Read" and "Special permissions". Checkmark "Allow" for full control, then click apply. You should be able to delete ArmA 2 OA. Reinstall the game and verify it's integrity cache via Steam. *Editing your registry can cause permanent damage to your system. I will not be held responsible for any damage you cause. I sincerely hope this fixes your problem. I've been in the exact situation you're currently in and it definitely was not fun.

Yeah, what Fraggle said. If you do go to the airfield, it is recommended that you scan the area from a distance before entering, to look if any survivors are there. Once you actually infiltrate the airfield, try to stay out of open spaces; there's almost always a sniper on guard there.

Uhh.. I didn't know about that glitch... Now I'm a little scared to play.

Dayz No PvP and No hackers
Death_Dealer replied to Maxwell(friendly)'s topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
 x 100,000,000 DayZ revolves around PvP, and it always will. You're better off getting used to it instead of avoiding it completely. -
Anyone found a machete yet?
Death_Dealer replied to elf cakes's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I've yet to find one. Are they any good? -
a solution to players disconnecting to avoid dying

Even if this was implemented, players could still quickly hit escape and Alt - F4 out of the game. -
Regarding the filter you bought, it was more than likely past its expiration date. Most of those filters are surplus and have been sitting in a warehouse for many years.
-
Gas masks would be very finicky and inefficient. First off, you would constantly need to find new and proper fitting, non expired filters. The filter is what filters out all the nasty stuff you don't want to breathe in. Gas masks filters degrade fairly quickly in contaminated environments, because the filter begins to pile up with all the pollutants and eventually stops filtering air. Like I said before, you would have to find non expired filters. This would obviously be very unlikely as the zombie apocalypse would seize factory production of.. just about everything- including gas mask filters. Assuming the seal is not broken on the filter, their shelf life is only a few years. If the seal has been opened, they'll last about a year. Now, on to the mask itself. Chernarus being a post-Soviet state, you would most likely find Russian GP-5 gas masks. Because these masks were made of a cheap rubber material, they would degrade pretty quickly in chemical environments, thus breaking the air-tight seal rendering it useless. //flies away

Alternative Method of Honoring the Mods and Devs

What the shit am I looking at. -
I want to grow hemp at my campsite. Edit: No, opium poppies.

Well at least server owners now have a choice on whether they want the new cans in their server or not. Simply don't update to the new patch. Most servers I've noticed haven't, and they're still on the 1.7.6 patch.

What's Your Favorite Gear-Out?
Death_Dealer replied to VisionTwelve's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Right now I'm using the new Sa58V as my primary, just because it's a pretty reliable gun and it's got a nice sleek look to it. Uses AKM mags so ammo is not a problem. As a secondary assault rifle, I use the M4A1 Holo, which I found in the barracks. Another very reliable gun. My primary sidearm is the M9 SD, if I can get my hands on enough ammo for it. If not, the M1911 is my second choice. It's ammo is fairly common and it packs a bigger punch. My current backpack is a coyote, which I store my M4A1 Holo in. I've yet to find rangefinders, night vision goggles, and a GPS. Night vision isn't a problem though as I play on an all-daytime server. My car of choice is the SUV, which I currently have. It's fast, quiet, easy to hide in thick forests, and comes with a built in GPS unit. If I can't get an SUV, I'll do fine with a Hilux. Another great onroad and offroad vehicle. -
Nope, ruins the immersion. Just kidding. I lied. I actually think that's a great idea. Also nice touch with the Russian wording at the top.

It seems like this thread has transformed into a cesspit of hate and everything else that is putrid.

I've finally given in to Banditry
Death_Dealer replied to Hunterliv's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Murdering new players is like.. seal clubbing and perhaps animal abuse. (relevant to a certain thread) Although most people strongly oppose it, it still happens. -

Indeed. -
Your whining ruins the immersion for me. Please remove yourself from the premises.
-
You seem frustrated.

It was way too explicit for me to watch. Good thing the video's sound was censored.

I bet the whole "immersion" argument is going to come back and bite everyone in the ass.
