Although this is a great idea, I can see it being abused horribly. -
OP, I'm gonna rip your balls off, so you cannot contaminate the rest of this world. (beans to whoever gets that reference) But really.. No. The only reward you should get for killing zombies is still being alive, and the occasional can of expired beans. They are simply creatures with the sole purpose of killing survivors and making life a living hell.

Armor/Planes/Mortars/HMG for standalone

You have to remember survivors are just normal citizens. I highly doubt the average person could correctly shoot mortars or fly an old WWII-era plane. It would be neat to have these things around the map, just inaccessible to players. -

I thought so. Like I said before, scan your computer for malware and delete all traces of whatever you downloaded. Never download anything for DayZ from YouTube .. no matter how convincing it looks.

I'm afraid your key has most likely been taken and sold to a hacker by now. Scan your computer for malware and delete all traces of that specific patch you downloaded. Edit: What website did you download it from? This specific error you're getting has been known to randomly pop up, and sometimes has nothing to do with your key being stolen.

Yep, pretty much. They are basically humans .. just uglier, less intelligent, and slightly smellier.

About zombies having "massive amounts of health"- the idea was that they are just humans infected with a virus, not magically animated dead bodies. In that case, they can and will die of things that would normally cause a human to die. One of those being blood loss from gunshot wounds, or wounds that would be fatal to humans. Edit: It does make sense that zombies are currently more vulnerable than humans mainly because they are composed of rotting flesh.

First off, be sure you have a tool box in your inventory, or it will not let you repair the vehicle. If it only shows an option to repair certain parts, (eg. only able to repair a piece of glass) you must repair everything that shows up- if the specified part you're trying to repair isn't showing up. That may sound a little confusing so I'll give an example. Say you're trying to repair a vehicle's engine, but there is only an option to repair Glass 1 and Glass 2. You must first repair those two pieces of glass, then everything else will show up as an option to repair.

Well bandits are more than likely going to be around DayZ forever. However, the devs are working to make the standalone more focused on survival rather than PvP. -

Mosin-Nagants are pretty common to this day. They are cheap, too. This gun is still used in many armies around the world.

Able to put 3+ entire car tires into a medium sized backpack and run at full speed. Logic! -
The KSVK is still extremely powerful. I played with it a bit in the editor. It's got a powerful zoom and kills in one shot, I believe. It can also completely screw up vehicles just like the M107 or AS50 can do. I say ditch all the huge anti-material rifles and stick to the more classic hunting rifles, like the CZ 550. It fits the scenario better, in my opinion.

Because the Steam version of DayZ is total shite, that's why. Like everyone else said, download DayZCommander and update to the latest DayZ patch and ArmA 2 build. Then use DayZCommander to join your desired server. -

@JOnathan- You've got some balls. @OP- Just play a vanilla DayZ server with powerful guns like M107s and AS50s removed.
