    Houses, inspired by the origins mod.

    The Origin houses are like this: It'd be neat to create some sort of small dwelling in the mod IMO. DayZ really needs that feel. Living in the forest inside a pine tree gets old fast.

    This did not help the OP in any way, shape, or form. You actually insulted him. Anyway, the SA will supposedly run much smoother than the current mod. One of the devs said that what you get in normal ArmA 2 is probably what you'll get in the standalone. It isn't even near finished though, so nobody has a correct answer at the moment.

    The dev blogs just take time away from their developing of the SA. I don't think we need weekly updates, but one every now and then would be nice.

  7. I think you've mixed the past and present up. In the old times, at least the ones I knew, DayZ was played as it was meant to be played - for the survival aspect. Nowadays, it's basically free-for-all with pests (zombies).

    We still have LMGs and satchel charges. They work well against vehicles. Remember some LMGs, like the M240, are one shot kills.

    There should be thicker shrubbery in the forests instead of all trees. Streams and creeks would be a neat addition too.

    Earning Persistent Gear in SA

    Gear should be earned by looting and will stay on your character until he/she removes it or death. Everyone should start with absolutely nothing. This will make gear very valuable over time and will cause players to be more cautious over what they do.

    We should have chemical weapons. Input: Charcoal dust (could be found at the mine), glasses, rags Output: Improvised gas mask Tools: Duct tape Fail Chance: 0.05 Enchantment: Protects the player from things like tear gas, smoke, or anything airborne added in the future. Once the filter gets too used though, the mask becomes entirely worthless. Action Type: Tool

    Emotional death

    Like in many war movies, wounded soldiers tend to call out to their mama because they're in shock. They also start wailing and coughing up blood. I feel this would add more guilt and a darker theme to the overall game. Right now in the mod, players just do the silly death animation after getting shot.

    Yep. I foolishly downloaded a program that would supposedly increase FPS. Bam. CD key stolen the next day. Contacted Battleye and BIS, was able to get a new key fairly quickly after that. Goes to show that if your key is stolen, don't give up entirely. (unless you hacked, of course.)

    There should at least be different blood types to choose from, depending on what blood type the player who's receiving the transfusion is.

    Weather effects which

    Tornadoes are a no-go in my very honest opinion. In order to keep the track of realism going, they'd need to be able to destroy many things in their paths, such as houses and forests. This would only cause further lag to the already intensive DayZ.
