That's hard to say as the game isn't out yet, but theoretically yes. You should get somewhat the same if not better performance in the standalone.

Not exactly. If I went and 'studied' a Wikipedia page on diseases, does that make me an expert on it? No. You haven't experienced killing first-hand either, Walking Wounded however, has. He stated that the euphoric feeling came from him realizing he was still alive, not from actually killing the person. -

Well that's essentially a sniper's job. Personally I have no problem with camping, as long as it isn't for shooting new spawns.

Contrary to popular belief, the GPU also does a lot of work on ArmA 2 even with settings like the OP's. Issues like these still baffle me; I've really never found a solution but someone else might have one.

To build a house in Origins also takes a lot of time and especially resources.

You claim to have a life via a video game forum? I don't even have to explain that one. How can they lie when they never set a specific release date? From Dean himself - "It'll be done when it's done." Producing a game isn't some walk in the park. It takes a great deal of time and effort; especially when the dev team is small, which is the case with the SA. Of course though an obvious CoD kiddie such as yourself expects games to come out in mere months. Yeah, a game that has sold over 11 million copies must totally suck ass. A more adult crowd you say? Go look on YouTube, almost if not all popular Minecraft channels are by adults. -

I've only encountered one friendly player at Berezino but he was new to the game. All other player encounters there have been hostile (KoS). :( -
Readjustment of Spawn Points?

I do agree more spawn points should be added near Berezino. That should balance it out a bit more so the player concentration isn't all at Cherno & Elektro. I'm not sure if this is a mod or standalone suggestion, but many new towns have been added to the northern portion of the map in Chernarus+. This further justifies the addition of spawn points near Berezino and beyond. -
You could argue gas masks could be used to protect against disease, but the disadvantages outweigh the advantages by a lot. Pros Protection against viruses (disease) Cons Limits physical activity Limits vision Short expiration time in contaminated environments Risk of outdated filters Not all filters are designed to fend off viruses

I like how they made scavenging and surviving harder, but the infection rate is way too high. To the point where it brutally murders realism with an axe and, dare I say, ruins the immersion. The knockdown rate is also too high. We aren't near-weightless schoolchildren; a zombie hit shouldn't knock us flat on the ground over 60% of the time. Those are my only complaints. As a whole I'm pleased with how the mod is going so far.

What if your internet cuts out when you're in combat? It's happened to me quite a bit. You'd have to wait a whole day just to play again... Death timers are pointless. They don't add any immersion; just makes you wait longer to play the game you love which is very frustrating. -

Berries have been confirmed, but not sure about nuts & mushrooms. I'm thinking the cities will be the lazy man's way of gearing up fast, as you'd find lots of canned food and drinks there. The obvious major downside is cities are very dangerous. The woods, however, will probably be a slower paced but much safer way of surviving.
