My recommendation would be to go to your card manufacturer's website and download the latest drivers, even if they are causing you to lag on ArmA 2. You don't want to keep outdated drivers. Edit: Well, the newest driver is clearly labeled "Beta", so I would just stick with the first one you said until the newest driver's issues are fixed. If you are having issues with the old driver, update it.

AH-1Z Viper and the Apache AH-64D Pure flying death. I know this isn't a helicopter, but the Thunderbolt II kicks some serious ass. I would take that over a helicopter any day.

The processor is a wee bit lacking. My old laptop had similar specs, I was able to play at medium settings (things like anti-aliasing, shadows, and post processing turned off) at around 30-40 FPS. I did struggle in areas such as cities and certain graphical-intensive areas. Those thick orangish-red trees really lagged me bad. Be sure to put your power mode on "high performance" and keep the charger plugged in.

I just added all the parts from your list to Newegg, together it costed exactly $600*. Downgrading the HDD to 500GB and the power supply to 600 watts, I was able to shave off about $60-70. You can put that money towards a better CPU. That's my recommendation. *rough estimate as you didn't specify some of the parts.

You could sacrifice the hard drive for a better CPU. 500GB would be plenty if you don't record videos. Same goes for the power supply. 750 watts is overkill for that build, 600 watts would do you fine.

CaniRunIt is not accurate at all. Hmm okay. I don't really know good laptop deals when I see them, just desktop hardware and PCs. Though all laptops are technically overpriced for what you get. You'll be able to run DayZ, just not at beautiful settings and framerate.

Maybe medium 30-ish FPS. In some cases you'll struggle more. If you can though, go with a desktop PC, preferably custom built. What's the price of that laptop? Can you specify the GPU a little more?

I've said it many many times before and I'll say it again. The. Infection. System. Is. Fucked. From a realism standpoint it makes 0 sense and is drastically flawed. Although not entirely specified, infection is probably caused by something other than the "zombie virus". Because their flesh is now rotting, it hosts many nasty bacteria, viruses, and all that rot. The only real way you could catch the infection is if it touched an open area of your body, such as a cut on the skin. I think a percentage chance of actually getting infected would be fair. Sure, there's already a "percentage chance", but 9 times out of 10 you're going to get infected. Another flaw is that it onsets immediately, which also makes no sense. I think it would be fair enough for it to take, say, a couple minutes (10, 15, 20, whatever it may be) to set in. To make matters even worse, antibiotics seem to have gotten even rarer. I went to all 3 hospitals on the map and found only a few bandages and morphine, but not a single box of antibiotics. Go ahead and call me a "whiner", because it just makes you look hilarious and quite frankly I could not care less.

GPU could use an upgrade honestly. If you could stretch the budget a bit, the GTX 760 would be a great choice.

I would go with the ASUS DirectCU II GTX 780. Expect 30-50+ FPS on very high. Too weak for DayZ, sorry.

Dead bodies begin to decay and get infested with dangerous bacteria as soon as they, well, die. Touching a rotting corpse can very well give you a nasty and probably lethal infection. While this may be a little too extreme, there could be a chance of vomiting when near a rotting corpse. Vomiting dehydrates and of course starves you very fast, which leads to the problem of finding potable water and food.
