GTX 970 loses monitor signal for some situations

Yes and I was trying every possible connection (Dual link DVI, Displayport, and HDMI) Right now I am using DVI for 144Hz -
or they could just add mod support. Mods are great because you don't have to pay even more money for them. "Want to play Epoch? Give me $10 then fucker." I'm speaking for PC by the way because I seriously doubt we're going to be seeing a console port anytime soon especially with how progress pace has been so far.

You want lots of mods to be paid content? pls no
-
Speaking of, have you updated it yet to include the 900 series GPUs? I've seen some 970s cheaper than 770s but they perform better than 780s, pretty amazing price to performance ratio right now

Reapply the thermal paste and try again, it might have spread unevenly or there's too much

Xbox 360 controllers will work on android devices, just gotta buy a mini-USB to female USB cable, and a controller that works on USB Im not sure about wireless controllers though edit: just tried it out on HTC One as well with Borderlands 2. It works great but connection is awful with constant stuttering :( that's too bad.

A 9590 with a 750 Ti... fucking what

I think that's a bit of an overestimate.

Does this seem like it could handle 4k gaming?

ASUS ROG Swift > 4k monitor much better investment in my opinion -
Would this build be decent for dayz will buy Friday

4770k/GTX 780 build running on 550w. The PSU is obviously much better, but just take it in considering you're saying this build needs an absolute minimum of 650w. Also OP probably won't be overclocking If the PSU is high quality, 500w would be perfectly fine for this build I'd be happy to take back what I said if you put forth some evidence other than "I'm superior to you in every way and I think this build won't work on a 500w PSU therefor you are completely wrong" -

http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2049983/500w-power-supply-maintain-gtx-760.html http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2109220/500w-psu-sufficient-power-gtx-760-3770.html Power supply calculator shows 200-300w, and adding a second GTX 760 doesn't even push 500w. Nvidia also recommends 500w for a 760 My build is much more wattage heavy and doesn't come remotely close to needing 650w -

No it's not. This build can easily do 500w. Hell even GTX Titan builds can and have done 500w -

500w is fine for that build, 700w is very overkill -
More new stuff I can't buy :(

For the steam problem, try go into the task manager, processes, and find and close "Steam.exe". Then try restarting steam -
The unveiling reminded me of this guy from GTA V: *screen size heightened by an inch* "LIKE NOTHING WE'VE EVER SEEN BEFORE!"

Is building your own an option?

Overclocking definitely helps with DayZ performance
-
unfortunately laptops are very expensive compared to something like a custom built PC, so you usually have to spend quite a bit for at least decent performance do you really need a laptop?
-
that is not good advice... and this thread is almost a year old.

If you hate bandits that much then you might as well quit the game entirely -
Thank you for doing a test baker, pretty neat results could you post CPU Z details while the game is running, and avg FPS with settings?

The point was that it's not uncommon to see steam users spend huge amounts of money on their games. And I have no idea what you're going on about the fb likes I'm not saying piracy is not an issue, it's an issue on both sides. However you kept using the old "pc gamers are all pirates" stereotype and even went as far as to say that steam sales are needed to reduce piracy, which isn't true
-
The steam sales work wonders on making people buy on impulse, it's genius. The only summer sale game I bought was Borderlands 2 GOTY edition, which I've already put close to 200 hours in
