Red Dead Redemption comes to mind, imo it should work like that - small tables set up for poker, blackjack, or whatever. You could even play the knife game (five finger fillet), all you need is a knife and a hard surface. But you would run the risk of stabbing your own hand and temporary "disabling" it, which could easily cost you your own life in the apocalypse The chips and cards for the various card games could be found in pubs/cafes

Guess the Person's play style above you :)

Bandit in disguise -
8GB of ram is more than enough

Those aren't intentional, they're bugs

Creating the skeleton and animations for horses would, or will, surely be a difficult task. That's the only major drawback I can think of, but horses would definitely fit in DayZ

We NEED some way to identify heros and bandits.

How to stimulate an Emergent Economy in DayZ - discussion
Death_Dealer replied to Roshi (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
The ability to create your own trading posts would be a cool feature You'd need your own guards (no AI) to protect it though I'd imagine -
If you plan on using very high resolution monitors for gaming or a triple monitor setup, go with the 4GB version if not, then 2GB is more than enough

reddit had to go and ruin it like usual

It's decent Building your own PC is really easy actually, though it may look intimidating at first

I don't think people are really grasping what *ultra*-realism would be like Simply cooking a meal could take a good hour out of playing time, not to mention hunting. If you break your leg, you're pretty much fucked, end of story. If you get some sort of sickness, which would be much more common in an apocalypse scenario, 9 times out of 10 you're fucked. Various tasks would be incredibly tedious and time consuming, to the point where you just don't want to play anymore

Should Gillie suits be a craft-able item only?
Death_Dealer replied to kermo50's topic in General Discussion
It can get well over 100 degrees (F) in ghillie suits And not to mention how much weight it puts on you -
Your suggestion doesn't work The "zombies" in game aren't undead, they did not die then come back as zombies. They're simply humans infected with a nasty virus of some sort, therefor you cannot reanimate as a zombie. The survivors (us players) are immune to whatever virus causes the infection. I believe it is airborne, that's why it wiped out so many people so quickly
-
Ultra realism would be incredibly boring Basically increase the time and complexity of tasks by 10
-
They aren't zombies, rather infected humans. There is no reanimation of corpses Plus survivors are immune to infection
-
All of this.
