    ...oh god no NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO i don't want dayz to become broke back mountain the video game NOOOO But i will add my 2 cents What if the mouse scroll option had a SEX option and for it to happen the other person would have to agree by also clicking the sex option, if they did awkward animations would ensue and well i guess temperature would go up (yay?...) BUT IF THEY DIDN"T CLICK YES...you would begin the SURPRISE BUTTSEX animation and intern laugh while the other person is like WHAT THE DEUCE??!?!? Its not rape...its surprise buttsex...that is all.

Ways to improve LOS (balance if you will) I made a topic a LONG time ago (last month) about adding the element of escape and LOS to the game (glad to see it in the game now) Only problem is it could use a couple of modifications to make it more balance. IMO -have zombies investigate where LOS was broken -decrease LOS distance (apparently you can be spotted very far away and they will go full attack mode) -increase zombie speed in buildings for two reasons 1) buildings should NOT be viewed as safe zones if you have 10+ zombies on you and you go into a small building with only a pistol or slow shooting weapon you should be aware they may overrun you. 2)People are saying it is way too easy to ditch zombies via buildings this is true the building should not allow you to lose all of them only 2 or 3 out of 6 or 7. IDEAS on how LOS can be improved. -Crouching would require close observation of the zombies around you if a zombie that is 5-10 meters away is facing you it will go after you in attack mode -if a zombie sees you prone they should at first slowly walk over to investigate if they are in within a certain distance they will go into attack mode. -If a zombie sees you in a building it should stumble to investigate not rush in... -------------------- In short i think the PASSIVE zombie mode should be elaborated. If you are crawling through a town of zombies...you should still fear the possibility of getting spotted. Crouching should be viewed as a quicker way to sneak but should require more vigilance while crouched in a town. My view of how movement should be prioritized. Running -means of travel and escaping Crouching -means of scouting perimeter -slow crouch is a means of walking within buildings (also slow walk) -you can attempt to crouch near zombies but if one is facing you they will spot you and go into instant attack mode. Please give constructive criticism with reasoning, compliments, or nothing at all. NOTE: I posted this in general by mistake so ill just re-post it once where i meant to post it. since it wasn't moved

    I hope food and drink does become more rare though i mean IMO how it has been before this...food EVERYWHERE at least with low food and drink people would have a reason to kill one another... food and drinks should only spawn in residential areas and markets...too much food spawns in barns...and also other random places. Anyone else with me?

    your an idiot zombies are powerful in numbers they aren't fucking hulks...seriously all these people playing zombie games and not even knowing how zombies work. Hiding is a must in a zombie SURVIVAL game/mod i don't know about every single other person on these forums whining about the new patch but last time a checked in most SURVIVAL games you have to RUN and HIDE...this game is getting better The only problem is since this new addition is quite a game changer it just needs to balanced out (LOS needs tweaked so zombies INVESTIGATE last known position, also if they gave zombies increased speed in buildings it would help fix being able to lose them so quickly and also stop giving the impression that buildings=super safe they need to be viewed as helpful but not a safe zone. For example if you have 10 plus zombies on you running in a small building will just be a death trap since they would close in faster than you could shoot)...give it time so many people are impatient and feel entitled to what they want when they want it...god forbid you don't get exactly what they want in the form they expected...
  7. eh your looking at it a little too negative bandit skin INSTANTLY let you know from long distances at least now it requires slight investigation as to who is bad or good (unless you can mouse over someone from 500 meters away and tell) i haven't been able to test the distance of heartbeat so IDK but if it requires you to be pretty close than its fine If however the above is true...then your right it is the same thing.

(NOTE: I am mistaken there would need to be some kind of way to allow entrance into the secured perimeter that only humans can go through since i believe you can't vault over sandbags if you can vault over sandbags then this can work no problem) For this to work the zombie spawning would have to change some how maybe the distance fix would work for this idea. I have been thinking that having some kind of option on an item to transform the town into a settlement might be a bit unfitting. Then i remembered HEY this mod has barricades like wire and sandbags.... Now how this would work is you get sandbags and or wire fencing and place a perimeter and if you connect them zombies can not spawn within that perimeter or in the immediate vicinity(30-50 meters), in fact it would turn the loot spawns off completely (to avoid farming loot). I think that is the best/simplest way to form settlements for this mod. For this to be possible and not take days (since sandbags and fencing is insanely rare) I think it would make sense to greatly increase the spawning of said items and also allow sandbags to spawn in residential areas. (homes, apartments) while the industrial buildings and military locations would always spawn at least one wire fencing in a hanger or comms tower) this would make sense since civilians would have used sandbags and military uses wire fencing. Also it would take a group effort (settlements aren't built by one person, unless that one person spends days upon days scavenging for enough barricades....but by then someone would have noticed) So while you have a safe haven you sacrifice the loot that spawns there also in the future new items could be added like a flagpole and flag that symbolizes that said town holds a settlement. Even adding the possibility of commerce and trade. FUTURE POSSIBILITIES FOR SETTLEMENTS (from this point forward the suggestions would require new features and items) -adding a town hall for each town/city the reason for a town hall would be to have a census and keys for the shops. -new buildings (small shacks) or the ability to build (look at in depth section below) those would buildings would be locked and the only way to open them is with keys found in that towns hall. (NOTE: loot can be stored in the shacks since they will be shops/banks -this town hall would hold new items such as a census, and keys to the shacks -the census would be like a town roster it would display the name of anyone who signs the census to other roster members....obviously you could only be a member of one settlement at a time. Those are just a few ideas anyway what you guys think?

I have my browser open on my second monitor but whenever i click it, it minimizes my game....so i tried windowed but its damn small Ive read this http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?131165-Any-way-to-run-Arma-at-quot-windowed-full-screen-quot but that setup is a tad too big since it stretches down to task bar what would be the correct resolution height to set it to so its just above the task bar? nvm i got it

    ya the night time with moonlight is good enough its visible but still NIGHT time and it doesnt require NVG so they won't be as OP cause right now night time is impossible almost to traverse and nothing but easy pickings for NVG people.

    Seems like a situation similar to those with bad kids and parents who just try covering for them every time they do bad stuff... Wouldn't be surprised if there are a few abusive admins and what happens when they have a "fit" is that they ban whoever angers them or "ruins the fun" then mommy or daddy replies to the person who was banned by saying Oh were sorry it was a "mistake" but don't worry just submit an appeal and we'll fix it...wonder how many ban appeals there are and if people have done them multiple times if so i stick to my theory if not...well maybe it is just all very coincidental (way too many IMO) "misclick" here "timed reboot" there clan members and server controllers running to defend in numbers.... convenience is a crock IMO. Not a lot of evidence to defend with aside from happenstance. I knew a server admin and it was one of those servers that had clan members like this one that play on it as their home server....and ya they abused RARELY but it still happen. P.S i read all 3 pages cause it was a good read. Just writing as an outside spectator, i have to slightly lean towards the accuser cause i know how people are and plus there are multiple people that came forward with similar issues and the defense is pretty much like oh it didn't happen....oh it might of happen...ok it happen but it can be fixed....sooo ya. Just sayin
  16. HOW do you make a shortcut...i see the shortcut for beta in the arma folder that works but when putting onto desktop the icon is bugged. And after going into the beta folder and just manually trying to make a shortcut when i try running it, it gives me .no path found error. P.S the uninstall "shortcut" doesnt even work...i just delete the beta folder and install a new one each time its updated...is that the right way to do it?

P.S to the guy who said "find a map and study it" what map? only maps ive found are the yellow dot map and moocow map is there some specific map for vehicles?
  18. So i downloaded the updater and hit quick play and i guess it chose a beta server....ya well it updated me apparently....or did it? Did it just update my game with the beta patch? or what? if so that was simple and fast.
  19. oh cause it says playing beta something now above the @dayz thing on top right at main menu. P.S can beta patched people play on the non beta patched servers? (backwards compatible)?

What really gets me is while you make perfect sense i think it makes even more sense to give the player some of those MISC items i mean right now it irks me how i spawn with a gun and tons of ammo....but yet i don't a knife...i think you should start with a knife and the above "necessities" if some kind of melee is implemented, (i have no idea at all why a MILITARY SIMULATOR does not have melee in the first place) it would make the knife pretty useful.

    WTF you people finding this abundance of vehicles? Do you just play a whole lot or are there places on map (or specific servers) that have a lot of them cause ive played this since may and ive only seen 2 cars.
