your a fool if people dont want side chat a option should be there to remove it for that player not the whole server most players enjoy global chat and will leave it on And you call him the fool...what you just explained is called unfair advantage...if the way you just stated was implemented then no one would want to have it off since they know others would have it on. -

the first post has a point we were able to talk and ask for tips and stuff now it isn't like that. But don't worry radios will be added in soon enough they said they were going to make ways to communicate in game. So for now think of it like this; we are in the DARK ages...lol -
I made a topic a LONG time ago (last month) about adding the element of escape and LOS to the game (glad to see it in the game now) Only problem is it could use a couple of modifications to make it more balance. IMO -have zombies investigate where LOS was broken -decrease LOS distance (apparently you can be spotted very far away and they will go full attack mode) -increase zombie speed in buildings for two reasons 1) buildings should NOT be viewed as safe zones if you have 10+ zombies on you and you go into a small building with only a pistol or slow shooting weapon you should be aware they may overrun you. 2)People are saying it is way too easy to ditch zombies via buildings this is true the building should not allow you to lose all of them only 2 or 3 out of 6 or 7. IDEAS on how LOS can be improved. -Crouching would require close observation of the zombies around you if a zombie that is 5-10 meters away is facing you it will go after you in attack mode -if a zombie sees you prone they should at first slowly walk over to investigate if they are in within a certain distance they will go into attack mode. -If a zombie sees you in a building it should stumble to investigate not rush in... -------------------- In short i think the PASSIVE zombie mode should be elaborated. If you are crawling through a town of zombies...you should still fear the possibility of getting spotted. Crouching should be viewed as a quicker way to sneak but should require more vigilance while crouched in a town. My view of how movement should be prioritized. Running -means of travel and escaping Crouching -means of scouting perimeter -slow crouch is a means of walking within buildings (also slow walk) -you can attempt to crouch near zombies but if one is facing you they will spot you and go into instant attack mode. Please give constructive criticism with reasoning, compliments, or nothing at all kthxbai

...funny when others comment about the same thing just in a more specified way (they focus on a specific part of the AI like LOS or something there is nothing but negative replies) they get bashed but when it is general like this people are all for it...i don't get it -
LOS+building=easy But how it is right now (player nerfed zombies buffed) i consider it a fair kind of broken.

Hey douche ya see that big ass string on the end of the hatchet...ya you tie that to the back pack so no space should be used up. Either way 9 inches...pssshhh you sir obviously do not wear cargo pants. -

I have to admit that out of all the things being changed i hate this. Buildings were a goal while the zombies were the obstacle, you could either go guns blazing or sneak (most people sneak). But now what is the point? if there is even one zombie in a building you have to kill it and if you do all the sneaking you just did was pointless... I see they made the hatchet a melee (silenced) weapon and that would allow you to kill the lone zombie indoors but to force a player to have to carry said hatchet (which now takes up quite a bit of inventory) just to achieve what was in the past already achievable alone just seems silly. Plus last time i checked zombies wander outside not camp indoors (for the most part) I think zombies should have faster walking speed indoors to cause panic if you have a mob on you but for them to spawn indoors in just counter productive since peoples main goal is to sneak past the zombies to get to the loot areas. TOO LONG? Simply put zombies spawning in buildings is like running your ass off to a finish line only to have an opponent already there laying in wait to punch you in the face and walk across the finish line. -

You made me comment at the first point...for the majority this game was 15-30 dollars...obviously their decision and should not affect things just saying it wasn't really FREE... P.S just cause you keep saying something is meant to be crappy will not stop others from pointing out that it is crappy (just cause people KNOW it is alpha will not stop people from complaining and asking for improvement) Just sayin

Yes YES YOUR A GENIUS NOW ALL THAT WOULD BE NEEDED IS TO CHANGE THE MODEL OF THE ZOMBIE HEADS TO CRABS!!! .... P.S There is a line between difficult and frustrating but that isn't my point. Just use simple logic here (for those people who think it is perfect the way it is) You start with no weapons...no supplies..and now the only way to get supplies is to fight or "distract" zombies but you can't do that since you don't have anything... It is like someone giving you the keys to a car and you don't know how to drive...but now the car has no gas and your still expected to drive. Or the hoover dam trying to create power with no water. Another example could be your told to go get supplies and your given no means of dealing with them...oh wait. P.S to the ones using the phrase "why wouldn't they be indoors" i think it is fine they are indoors i am just saying every building should not have a zombie. They should be in a building every now and again but right now just seems like too much. I say this cause i cleared a town with multiple enter able buildings (around 8 or 9) around 3 times and ever time they popped back up there was at least one zombie in it....just sayin. -

I was in Gorka and i checked every barn (that town has like 6 or 7 barns) and every one has at least 1-2 zeds in it there was no one else in town i made sure of that but yep after clearing the town 3 times every time they popped up again there was always at least 1 zed in a building. P.S To the people saying "oh just use junk items to lure them away" that is still on the same track of having to carry a hatchet to silently kill. The fact of the matter is the game now requires the use of certain items to even get any kind of items... since items are now "guarded" by zeds to an extent that is just silly. P.S.S (i like P.S ing) Ah jorden so your one of those people ok, yes i see the mans point but how he implemented "stress" through zombies spawning IN the loot location is a bit much there is a line between work and play, between difficult and frustrating...that line is now becoming a tad blurry. -

You do not have to kill it. Try throwing a tin can or a bottle and watch them leave the building to investigate. This one trick has been very very good to me. Oh? huh i tried throwing junk before but it never did anything but that was in 1.6 something. Well that is nifty and all but the above guy has a point when all buildings spawn any kind of zombie fresh players have next to no chance. It would be nice to have 1/10 buildings have a zombie in it but for every building to have one it is a bit much especially for early game. -

*facepalm* you didn't even read jorden (unless your saying WELCOME TO DAYZ in a sarcastic sense cause it is alpha, or are you talking like one of those people that delude themselves into thinking any form of change is positive and meant to happen so it should stay like that until changed by the creator...your comment is too vague.) The game took a step backwards not forward this is not the same kind of backwards as getting rid of starting weapons that was reasonable. Having zombies spawn at the goal defeats the purpose of a key mechanic that helped define the mod (sneaking). -
