I got similar slightly better... So it was night time i was in cherno, i have a CZ with me i turn the corner and bam i see lights in the distance...i get closer and turn another corner...jeep RIGHT THERE im like SHIT so i circle around the hotel building so im behind the jeep i see someone in it im like OMG SWEET so i get that CZ up and POW right in the head. literally 5 seconds later i start getting shot at from what i believe to be his buddy since the car honked his horn and was just stationary...i just spam the CZ on him...i kill him i run from zombies and eventually die...in hind sight i really should have ran into the damn car....

Ya the advantage to FLY around the map...not to have an omnipresent eye....i agree the helicopter shouldn't have radar use your own damn eyes to look for one...YOUR IN THE AIR.

Im just curious since they are EXPENSIVE AS BALLZ. And plus i remember a quote from the rocket guy saying "i didn't do this to make money"...but getting money incidently is just fine....lol But ya anyone want to explain?

i personally have been to a new server everytime i play then i hop once or twice in a session...i have only ever seen one hack and that is when tanks just spawned infront of everyone lol...but ya i think the hackers are isolated to certain servers *COUGH* seattle but who knows. The thing about password locks is ya they will fix the hack problem...but what is to stop people from just using those server as loot server than server hop public servers....solving one issue just creates another...wouldn't it be great if people just weren't assholes...who spent their life being assholes to others....also most vids dealing with cheating in dayz has shown that cheating is usually done by russian fags...just saying. -

So i hear people complaining about the zombies and well. I agree with those people and the people who disagree with them. The concept of zombies being a threat and to be feared is good. But how the game is now (how they can see you from far away, how they defy the laws of physics, how they HEAR something and automatically know it is a human who made that sound and instantly knows exactly where they are from that sound...) is just...quirky To be honest i like the idea of zombies being fast, strong, and in large number. What i don't like is how they can defy physics, and how there is not more passive behaivor from them. Examples of changes that i think would make the zombies more real/authentic to the zombie lore we are all mostly aware of. Sounds-the sound of a gun should not draw zombies to an instant dash towards us...they should investigate loud sounds (gun fire, explosions) just as they do with flares and minor sounds (tin cans, bottles) Zombie spawning- As i said zombies being powerful is good and they should be feared...but right now they are just annoying...not hard not scary...annoying. I really think that the zombies spawning should be more elaborate, changed in a way so that there is an actual choice of going about looting a town.Because right now there is only one option for dealing with zombies....crawl...crawl...and oh right crawl....ya i would kind of be ok with that being the ONLY option except i can't CRAWL into buildings...so i crouch to walk into a building...cause im looking for a weapon....oh look a zombie sees me from far away...yay now im dead...ya no I would like to see the option to actually clear a town (temporarly) so that you can loot without worry. Now just cause it is possible does not mean it is easy. Clearing a town would require a group of people or maybe a single person with one shot gun and a lot of ammo. (therefore geared lone wolf people can do the same job as mid geared group of people) this would encourage cooperation (which is severly lacking, the incentive to cooperate i mean). But also not single out the lone wolfs who want to loot for them selves...they will just need a lot of ammo.and a gun that can kill in one shot... HOW THIS WOULD WORK. -There is a clearly a set number of alive zombies in the town presently, you (or your group) decide...lets waste these guys im tired of sneaking...so you do. Once you kill the set amount of zombies in the town you can proceed to loot the town. Now how they would respawn is they spawn about 100 meter or so away from the town, they then begin wandering back towards the town and whalla the town is unsafe again. This would be nice to see since it would make zombie killing a valid option (im so tired of having ammo and not really being able to use it, and if i do it feels like im just wasting it against zombies that is.) Plus it would feel more authentic/real to what we know about zombies, which is; once you start causing a ruckus other zombies from far away will start wandering towards where all that sound was and make it feel like you are aggroing more zombies instead of just seeing them spawn in your face... P.S Clearing CITIES and military locations (air strips, starry camp) would have increased zombie count and faster zombie spawn time (mainly cities though as soon as zombies start getting killed in a city they automatically start spawning outside and begin to walk back in also they would start heading towards any gunfire or such which would give you maybe a minute of security until you had to move cities should feel impossible to clear even for a set amount of time the player should feel like they are under constant threat in a city no matter how many they kill. Meant for this to be a discussion/suggestion (posted this in general cause its more popular) im curious how many people find the zombies over powered or just fine. Also if spawning and hearing idea might be able to act as a compromise between the two groups of people who hate/like zombie behavior as it is now. Also -

What they are respawning around a helicopter crash...that is uh new to me i never had zombies respawn at dear stands or helis. -

Ya but being able to clear a town by killing the zombies SHOULD be an option there would actually be a use for ammo besides to kill people...what you described is exactly what im sick of doing it is nothing but annoying and tedious...it should be a valid option to clear an area full of zombies for a limited amount of time because right now guns are not even used against zombies that much, the game conditions you to just crawl around everything and save your bullets for people...which is one reason we have so much PVP if people knew killing zombies would actually affect something then people would probably start clearing out towns and stuff and there would be more activity instead of all this sneaking crap. When we hear a gunshot up north we would actually be able to wonder "huh is a town being cleared" also this would allow an interesting new aspect for people with no gear...they could take advantage of other people clearing the town so they can try to ninja some loot as well (thats the type of sneaking i want to see the sneaking around other players). Or in a more positive light people could start going around clearing areas for noobs either for payment or to feel like they are doing a good thing. -
If not then there are some cheater up in here. And i know where.

Ok so im curious which one is better? I heard the L85 takes a ton of bullets to kill something (5 or so compared to the usual one or 3 shots max from other main guns) i was told the M9 was better than the M1911...i regret listening to them...m9 takes like 5 shots m19 only took 1...so is the difference between damage like that? Or was the person i talked to that had a L85 just exaggerating..(TBH i don't trust their judgement when it comes to dayz equipment)

To those who have travelled around the map a good amount.....take it you have come across those random blue doored concrete shacks...usually there is a fence around them....ya i bet you money those are the "underground" bases he is referring to...and actually i like that idea easier than adding the complication of clearing an open town and trying to defend it against zombies...funny i was always wondering if they were going to utilize those random bunkers all around the map. Anyway how i would like underground bases to work -they would be in those aforementioned blue door shacks most would be unlocked some would start out locked (the locked one would have better gear) -if you enter an unlocked one you find a key that you can put in your utility inventory and that lets you lock and unlock your base door. -to unlock locked doors (pre locked and player locked doors you can do one of two things a)blow it open with a satchel charge (this would destroy the door and make it un repairable so the bunker would no longer be safe to use for storage...unless you want to risk it) b)Crack it open this will require 3 sets of tools perhaps; matches,fuse,and small plastic explosives NOTE: any forced entry would break the door and you would then need a tool box to fix the door (would give more use to the toolbox) NOTE: each bunker would have its own unique key so that mindless killing will get you no where....use your head not your blood lust to get his bunker key and location. Or just do what everyone else will do...kill on sight and happen upon a bunker key and feel good knowing you just fucked someone over....but nevermind that. -there will be cache's in each bunker where you can store weapons and food (unlocked ones will still have loot in them maybe but the locked ones will for sure and they would have the equivalent to crashed helicopter loot. -there will be a fountain where you can re fill water bottle -also there could be different bunker types such as medical bunker, military hardware bunker (gps,rangefinder,NVG top tier guns also these will be the majority of the "locked" bunkers next to medical) then there would be civilian (the majority of bunkers) civilian would just have food maybe a double barrel, enfield or such low tier backpack. "Well what if i kill someone and take his bunker key and never find his bunker?" Hmmm well the key could be reset after a certain amount of time if not used like vehicles it would be taken out of said persons inventory and would respawn in the bunker would still be locked if locked last....so pretty much what would happen after a while would be that most people would have to force there way in "What if most or all the doors become destroyed completely on a server...well hopefully there wouldn't be enough satchel charges to do that...but knowing people, if theres a way to fuck things up...they will find a way....(what its just fact). To prevent that any bunkers without doors would respawn a door every ...month or so? Obviously over time with all the killing and what not all the bunkers would locked because people will lock them go out and probably die with the douche bag murderer just not bother using it so ya pretty much the mindset will be..."oh look a bunker it is locked" so people will most likely end up searching for the 3 tools needed to open a bunker instead of just looking for a bunker. "So if the bunkers follow a key/lock method will it work cross server" AAHHH yes the one flaw (IMO) since well everyone would end up having copies of your key pretty much right? Hm...idk maybe some how make them server specific? idk. Maybe just get rid of the key idea all together and have the only way to open locked ones is through the 3 tools/satchel mehtod. The only time that it can be locked by a player i guess is if they are inside. I don't love that idea but it would be the best method since a unique key system is kind of out of the question (then again i don't know if its impossible or just hard to do) Or just have the ability to lock it whenever and the only to open it back up again is to crack it and repair it over and over each time you want to enter and leave...best i got this is all just brainstorming. But ya off the top of my head that is what i think bunkers would be in dayz. -
Please...i found a non raided tent city all top tier guns and even some top tier equipment hell even had anti biotics except there were no NVGs....they had GPS...rangefinder...TONS OF SATCHELS an L85 other guns SD and non SD...BUT NO NVG's....that is like the only item i want in the damn mod and i have yet to find them.
