I will never understand the logic people try and use when argueing a morality system...seriously think about.it. "EWWW don't implement that its unrealistic" Right cause its unrealistic to have human emotions and internal conflict. "Don't punish me for playing the way I want to" It isn't really a punishment, it should really just be a way to identify people. -

Pro Tip: How to auto run with logitech gaming software

This topic is for people who have a logitech device and have the gaming software. You can make an auto run key by binding W to a macro key, then set it to toggle under the repeat option. Just a tip for people wanting an autorun key with macro keys or with logitech specific software. -
If you have a macro mouse or keyboard you can set up an auto run key, will they add it into the game? IDK

They made the standalone to add more depth, if they plan on just remaking the mod exactly...then well I expect a lot of people to be pissed off/dissapointed. If I wanted to play the same thing as the mod...i would go back to the mod, only time will tell whether they just repackaged the mod or if they will grow on the concept.

You need to read. There is no LEVEL up there is no particular skills you simply learn to be more effecient with certain actions the more you do them. Nothing stupid or made up like +3 defense or +5 bullet protection NO. The idea presented in the thread states clearly that only organic progression is the point. Its realistic and natural for people to get better at the things they do the longer they do them. If I use and craft medical supplies for a living on my current life its only natural my character that life becomes more and more adept at using medical gear. The whole point of standalone was to BUILD upon the limited mod. If people aren't willing to add depth to the game then why did you bother buying the standalone if you want it to be exactly like the mod go play the mod. -

Yep like i said earlier the best evidence that this is a SURVIVAL game is the dayz mod site...the leaderboards are all centered around DAYS survived PEOPLE alive PEOPLE dead the main stat is average life....but alas. -

No no no, nothing like that the quality of your crafted items would simply improve over more crafting attempts. Having them FAIL outright would be just overkill. -

Yes...so much yes. Buuut doesn't it only work for one shot? I remember that movie sniper or shooter or w/e with marky mark he used that method but i thought it only worked per shot. -

Combat logging will be fixed the only reason its not in yet is cause they rebuilt from the ground up so all the advances they made in the mod are not really all translated over to standalone yet. -

No, if we give people multiple characters they will just have YOLO characters and sniper characters and hermit characters.... The whole point of the game is to value what little you have...you have to CHOOSE what you will be, you don't get to have everything. -

Ya, the gist is that you need to DO to improve, now im not trying to fully advocate sniper punishment, they could easily condition their character to not need to eat which would help their sniping playstyle BUT their stamina would suck and say a person who does have good stamina chases them, well they go bye bye. -
How do you know you are "healthy" and regaining blood?

Anyone know? I heard someone told me you actually get a "HEALTHY" tag on your inventory screen when you are regaining blood. Buuut i call BS. I drink and eat enough so that i rarely get the tags but yet my color still fades from my screen to the normal (not so colorful). -

This guy made the most valid point of all, the scoreboards are for LONGEST SURVIVED and AVERAGE ALIVE and how is DEAD. Not K/D I think that fact alone fights any arguement agaisnt more survival mechanics instead of more guns. -

No, read, "And of course since these perks are all PASSIVE and gained through repetative action" Sitting doing nothing wouldn't help much you would need to at least be running and moving x amount of steps or so to get better stamina or do whatever x action to get y perk you get me? Try comprehending the positive before slamming down with negative. -
Oh ya no doubt combat logging and such will be fixed over time. KOS needs to be handled with the good ole morality system though, it did its job the first few months the mod came out.

Exactly putting military gear at all spawns is ludicrous but having them all at one spot far away is just as dumb, this is why I think lingor island was one of the best maps loot wise it had many locations but never really spawned you directly next to military loot. I would want just a tad less then lingor did I like how it is now, since they made the south coast OP as all hell for loot spawning them east is far more effective.
