Insanit (DayZ)

So, me and my friend are new to DayZ and it was our first night on this server. We got a good start with help from a nice player, but a couple of hours later we're getting shot at by the server admin in cherno, for like a hour. When we finally found a vehicle, trying to get our asses north, to keep learning and find some good loot. Some other admins get in, accuses everybody of hacking, and when I told them to get their storys straight, I got a server ban with the explanation: fuck you So WHAT THE FUCK? You can't even try to explain yourself without getting banned from a power abusing admin? Not a very good way to keep new players guys.

Right, so it was the server admin who banned us then. I'm not that cranky anymore :) Just a bit curious. If you bother to administrate a server, then you stand on the top of a building, shooting the few players you've got, and then accuse them of hacking before you ban them for speaking up, your server probably won't be that popular.

I'm a new Dayz player who's looking for a server. I've only just tried the game out and I like what I see, but I can't seem to understand where to find info about server restarts and why some servers have 2-3 hour nights, while others follow authentic time via selected timezones? I would prefer a server with full lengt days and since I'm from sweden (GMT +1) and will be playing evenings and nights mostly, I would prefer a server with daylight during that time :) I don't want to sound too picky after 2-3 hours of gameplay, but I don't think I would enjoy too many vehicles and equipment in abundance. Seems to me that a part of the charm is to start out small and try to build from there. I've always enjoyed a little bit of RP, so if there is anything like that out there, let me know :) If anyone has some tips in general or a good idea of a suitable server, I'm all ears.
