    Yeah I agree, I don't really think they will completely change to walking, but that idea is good, make them walk quick to where they heard noise and if they are in reach of sight or hearing run for you. Although to get things going like this they still need to redo the whole zombie animations, since they move very glithy now. I do think it would add a lot of difficulty if you could just kill them with headshots, take the video as an example where he shoots them down and they just keep getting up. And yeah I would love to feel like its a big thing when running from zombies, there is not much of a PVE aspect in the game right now.

    NVG are a great tool, I don't think they should be removed, as many players as myself play at night (not like I ever have them though). But the same way NVG give an advantage at night, its also a high risk to have them, especially with the drop rate being lowered, because people who might see you with them, will kill you for them. So nothing really lasts in DayZ, enjoy them before you die and lose them.

    Denser Vegetation.

    I totally agree with this thread, the woods should be a much denser place and at the same time more dangerous, they are waaay to safe right now, feel free to give a bunch of ideas of how the woods should work, not sure anyone else has opened a thread, but it would definitely deserve it. Basically the main reason why forests are so plain, including maybe other terrain in the map, is because the map is huge! It would bring to much detail into one big world, thats why other games have smaller maps or are separated by zones and loading screens, thats also what makes ArmA such an inmersive game, there is no straight path to where you are going. But yeah working on the woods is definitely something I would like to see. I play ArmA since Operation Flashpoint and it hasn't changed a bit, they only added more tree models, but then the reason is for what I stated above.

    How zombies should work.

    Well first off if you feel that way, I don't even know why you bother posting. And why isn't this my type of game? We all know zombies are not working as intended, and I do want them to be dangerous. Ideas people give in the Suggestion forums, are that.. suggestions. People can think they are good or bad, which I am clear how you feel, why? I have no idea, because you didn't specific anything just rambled about how the game isn't for me.. Anyways, if you could specific why this is a bad idea I would give you back the beans I stole :P

    Suggestion: Humanity system

    I think the thread is great, I also think there should be a humanity system and I like the proposition ideas on this thread. I think the blinking idea is great, but only if you see it on other characters only, that way you can tell who is a bandit by how fast he blinks, but this would not make it to annoy the hell out of the one blinking of course. Hero's should definitely have a bit of a bonus over bandits of course, they are no threat to them, but they are to bandits, so it would be awsome that their aim would fuck up a little making it harder to hit them. I like the idea of the people swearing and stuff, but I'm not sure it would be a good idea because many people would not agree with their personality, for example bandits not necessarily will freak out in a gunfight as they would have more experience at it. I do think that killing another player should be a bigger deal to control the PK's more, I know its the apocalypse, but just run around shooting people is called a deathmatch, I don't think the game is intended for that. But for the people who really want to gang up and just kill on sight, they should know the consequences and killing someone would be a big deal, and if they are good enough to do it, they can handle it. Getting flashbacks of the people you have killed would be awsome, thought that should happen to everyone, not only bandits, I'm not sure how it would work, maybe save a file on your computer for that or something and then it will pop on your screen after 5 minutes without moving or something, it would be annoying to get it in the middle of something, and make it cancel when you move or so. The stealing mechanism is also creat, lower humanity a little if you do so, for example I'm a hero, but I would still loot a tent, so that would balance heroes a bit also. I would also make it so if you reach different levels of humanity, something special would happen, since its gonna be focused on a MMO type of game, those could be kind of your levels. That would be another cool thing to add to the game so you have an objective to carry "I need to get to 10,000 humanity to finally do this and that", or "Fuck I got to -10,000 humanity, now I will this and that". So as a hero and bandit it would insentive to get your humanity up or down. That idea itself could expand so much. Anyways, you got my beans ;)
  7. Well the alternative for ragdolls (if they are not adding it) would have to be to make different animations for deaths by shots in all different locations of the body to simulate a ragdoll. I'm not very technical to know how this whole thing would work, but I definitely hope they get those animations right.

    Rocket should add a silenced shoe...

    This idea would be great to implement on the different kinds of shoes there are in the game, say starting shoes are loud and work your way to find ones that are better quality and more silence. Something like backpacks, you start with a simple one and start finding bigger ones. This would be great so shoes are not just a decoration thing.. now be careful with those people who would double cross you for your shoes Edit: Someone posted the idea sorry, will still leave the post.

Man I love your thread, very well job with the models, the only thing I would suggest (not really with your work but for the game) would be to have only 2 versions of the quality instead of 3, but it would be the rusted and dusty. In a zombie apocalypse, I doubt we could find anything in perfect condition like in the grocery store now lol. Maybe less dusty and a ruasty version.

    Well that's why I mean they should be more dangerous, like try not getting hit at all or most likely you could suffer bad, just like a real zombie would be. Of course we don't want to be dancing around them cause they are easy to escape from, we can already do that now even. Maybe not completely walk slowly, but walk fast.
