    Blind firing

It should be implemented cause without it it is just limiting the gameplay. However, I don't think blind firing should be accurate, it is mainly for suppression fire, not to actually kill stuff. So there should be no crosshair or make it very unstable so its almost impossible to hit anything, that would be the solution of 3rd person. But it cannot be accurate with 3rd person. This can be exploited just like mentioned, but looking over the walls in third person is also kind of like cheating imo.
  2. I hope they don't add these beans to DayZ, I don't want to be looking on the ceiling for loot:

    Bullets Damage Things+Bloodly Clothes

Yeah its a good idea, I don't know how far they would go into this, but Rocket already mentioned the same example about damaging NVG with a headshot

    Hiding spots in buildings?

I would like it also, it just depends on how far into details the devs are going to get, if they are going to make a scroll to open and close things faster, or just an action to open and close completely.
  5. I know, that's why I said "I think its funny". I don't think it should be the opposite way, the more realistic the game, the better. Apologies if I was misunderstanding :P

    Ghillies at distance

I have also thought about this before, and not only with ghillie suits, I once was in a situation when watching some guy in a town with buddies, it was very dark and raining, I was prone in the woods and he ended up seeing me. In a real situation they would have never been able to see me in those conditions. Another solution that I'm not sure if it would be possible is that every time you zoom in, scope or use binos, the rendered grass should be focused on what you are looking at, not what is around you, that way when you have a scope on, you will render the grass on what your scope is looking at, not only will this make it more realistic and useful, but make the graphics of the game better automatically, because wherever you scope now its just plain.
  7. Yeah its not a bad idea, this could make shotguns a bit more usefull also. I think its funny how people mention that normal people wouldn't know how to do this or that, or recharge a shotgun, but in other games they are able to jump out of a plane and shoot down another plane while falling, that is more logical of what normal people can do? Lol its just a game, many things can be adjusted.
  8. I like the idea! I know many people would QQ about this, but its a simulator, the more things added about realism the better, just have to adapt them to a game and not literally like real life. I always think when getting into a pond or water about getting wet, but then I'm like well nothing happens here its just a game. So it would be awesome to be with a friend running away from zeds when discussing crossing a river or something (no rivers in Chernarus :( ) because you don't want to get wet cause you have nothing to make a fireplace or dry pants to wear after, or maybe cause you have something you can ruin by getting wet. Maybe equipment should not be that affected. And maybe not make it tedious to get dry, but just add something to change the temperature in your body cause right now the temperature isn't that integrated in the game.

    Hiding spots in buildings?

How I think it would end up it not with the Amnesia type of open close drawers or doors, I mean it would be cool, but many people wont like it. So they probably will just make an action to open and close doors. But hiding spots indoors would be awesome, because right now you can even look in from windows to see if someone is inside, but if you entered a house you never know if someone is there until you check the closets, under the tables, beds, behind furniture to make sure there is no one there, might even be doing this when looting, so the awareness when looting will be superb. And it would add so much to the game at the same time.

Third person vs First person view

Why so much argument, its clear everyone has their own taste. I will play only in first person, cause thats how I play ArmA since Operation Flashpoint, as long as there is a server with first person I will be fine. I know most of the people play in 3rd person, just check dayz videos on youtube and 95% use 3rd person. So of course they shouldn't take it out. The only thing I don't want is that the game bases on the 3rd person view, it is an FPS after all.

    SUGGESTION: Weapon Attachment Items

I believe Rocket already announced weapon attachments were going to be separate in SA, so you will be able to modify them. And I think its good, cause the its kind of old school not to be able to do that by now.

You know you've played too much DayZ when...

When you drive at night with your lights off :D

    LOST island (warning SPOILERS)

    Do it in Utes?

Waypoints only allowed with a GPS

I play on a Expert mode server and even with a GPS you can't set waypoints (kind of a old shitty gps huh?). You can only set them in choppers, that's it. So this is already in the game, just depends on your server difficulty settings.

    Hiding spots in buildings?

Yeah the opening drawers or doors like in Amnesia could be a good idea for SA, it wouldn't be that hard, it could be a single action button and then just move the mouse left/right or up/down to open and close depending on the speed of your mouse how fast you do it.

    Hiding spots in buildings?

What they should add indoors is the lousy zombie modes from CoD or such games, where you could chop up wood and bunk yourself in a house or something and nail down the windows and door and have a little base to camp for the day and then leave. This would keep you safe (for a while). If people approach a house that is sealed shut, its because there are people inside, whole new event happens just there. Or if you are safe inside with friends, add a mindless bunch of ideas for mini games like playing cards or a Monopoly you found in a kids room xD I do know they are enhancing inside gameplay and gunfights, so it would be a great addition to the SA.

    How zombies should work.

Nah, sorry for any not expressing well sometimes lol

    Functional Glasses

If they do add different types of glasses, I would just leave them as fashion, nothing else. And you can wear sun glasses reading glasses in the game now, just go into your profile and edit your character.

    money and newspaper

The idea of newspaper I don't know, in an apocalypse there would be none, and the one left I don't think you would want to use it lol. But money is also something I would add, not in real money as in coins and bills, but maybe jewelry, when you loot a house you find such and such jewelry that could maybe be crafted for some car, weapon part, don't know. Or also use currency with packs of cigarettes, like in jail. I have heard before people wanting a gun, and they offer other guns to trade, but maybe some kind of currency would be useful in cases like that also.

    Radio

Yeah I always thought the radio could be use as whispers/tell to contact people personally, it would be a good addition. How the hell do you do cab job with a chopper without getting jumped?

    How zombies should work.

Yeah I agree with you in many things. Though I forgot to mention that the suggestions I make are actually for the SA, not the mod :P I know many things can't even be done on the mod. But I like DayZ because its unique, I have been an ArmA player since Operation Flashpoint, I only play on an Expert mode server only cause I can't stand the 3rd person look over the wall crap, so no.. that game in the video will not be suitable for me lol. I love the realism and I know my suggestions are only suggestions and maybe one little bit may be good, that is already worth it. I love the game as it is, and I know it needs a lot of work cause its just an alpha mod of a game that wasn't even meant to be a zombie apocalypse simulator. I am also excited for zombies running in buildings and the adrenaline you will go through in order to get away from them, they are to easy now. Yeah we are friends, have some beans lol

Should Be A New Sleeping System

I don't know about the idea of sleeping, leaving your character in the world sleeping? You will always wake up as a new spawn. I believe you can already prone inside your tent (if you don't break your leg when your trying), I've seen a video of someone killing some intruder from inside. But I just don't want the, adding sleep when the next thing they add is poo and shit and becomes The Sims Zombie apocalypse. Also when I first started playing I did a marathon of playing like 2 days straight, so my character would piss me off if he's trying to go to sleep all the time lol
  23. Yeah or maybe when/if they add crafting professions and you make your own food ;)
  24. My answers to you, Night vs. day: I actually don't know how servers play 24/7 day cycle, the night is awsome and you can experience so many new things, plus zeds don't hear or see you as well. Normally yeah you can change your video settings and its pretty playable. I understand how you must feel when its pitch black dark, I play on a server where it gets that dark around 2 hours aright before dawn, but whoever is on will go camp, have a fire and talk about adventure with friends, or just light up a town your in with flares (normally safer at that time as not many people online). What I'm saying is that it gives a whole different gameplay. Player vs. "Zed": I agree with you there, they can be annpoing trying to shoot as how they move, and melee is broken basically because ArmA doesn't have one. And well, there can't be much to say in that topic because it has to be re done, in the SA we will see the true focus on that. Vehicle: They are sweet, its pretty exciting to find one around, even if its broken, you will have to adventure to scavenge parts for your car, after that it can be an enjoyment in comfort or a death trap at the same time lol. But when you walk up the later from picking scrap metal to being in the air looking down at the street you were just running the day before is gratifying. And then it sucks again when they take you down or someone steals your chopper haha. But that about the spawn points is normal if the vehicle is still in the world it wont respawn. Only if it hasn't been destroyed it will not be back on those spawn points. Graphics-to-health/blood: I don't really know why you would think this, if you get shot and are about to die, how would your vision be? Probably much worse than the game lol. Its just being realistic, this also happens in regular ArmA to. Group vs. solo play: Yeah you might be right in a way there, its kinda weird to go through a lot of trouble to get health back as a solo player, I also solo play a lot. To just give a blood bag if you were with someone. That for sure will have more tweaking and modification to the system, but nothing is really that balanced in the end. And at the same time you would think in real life it would also be harder to be on your own than in a group right? So grouping up is the best option always, and I think they will kinda keep solo play a bit harder to give incentive in grouping up also. But no offence, if the game seems to hard, maybe its not the best game, because DayZ comes from a military simulator, and its focusing in a zombie apocalypse simulator, so can't really expect it to get easier, in all it would change to be harder. Starting equipment: I haven't been playing that long, but at least where I play, bandage painkiller and a flashlight is what you start with. I once got in a server when I first played that started of with a Makarov, but didn't like it. Suggestions: 1. Well I kinda like how the blood and vision take play, I just get very immersive in my character I guess, but I have had some pretty awsome "take me to the hospital" missions. 2. I don't know about having a doctor in every town, that doesn't even happen now in pre-apocolypse real life lol. But I'm sure they are gonna add more ways to heal yourself by the time SA comes out. I still prefer the creators attract more of the hardcore gamer type than the hack n' slash type of player. Thats why I play in Expert difficulty only server, the 3rd person look over the wall is pretty lame for a simulator in my opinion. First person its a completely different way to play :D Hope I didn't ciricize to much lol Thanks for your suggestions! ;)

    Hiding spots in buildings?

This is a great idea, not only hide from zombies, but maybe you hear a bunch of players and decide they are to many to take or something, you can hide from players also. If they are picky and open the wardrobe for loot, well you have to take this risk, but if they are the ones who just make quick runs for loot, you may be safe, but the tension it would create would be nice. I wouldn't make to be able to shoot from inside the wardrobe, but the idea of setting up ambushes like that is a good idea, but if the bandit is gonna jump them, then they should get out and shoot, that way maybe the victim has a chance? I would guess there are way more examples than a wardrobe, but just look at all the ideas we found there lol
