Gore for zombies only to enhance our experience?

In would love gore in the game, every zombie game should have gore. However for DayZ its obviously more complicated because of the engine. But when they do implement ragdolls, we will probably be able to see more decapitations or something more gory. However for now, I think they should focus on the fountain of blood and stuff that is more manageable, maybe if you or zombies get hit in the face or wherever, change the skin to a bloody one depending on where you get hit. Maybe that already is hard to do, but seems more likely to happen any time soon than blowing up zombies or players. -
Love the idea, however the markers shouldn't be anything like icons or something that visually marks them. The idea of popping up a message saying "This guy looks like the one from the poster" on the bottom of the screen or something, seems like a better idea. The only thing is that the killer would probably be taking those posters down lol. But at least it would get bandits another thing to do :P

And you can level them up and give them pristine gear, swords and helmets!!.. Although a horse is a good idea, it will just be frustrating, expect your horse to get shot down most likely as soon as someone with a gun sees you. And the introduction to cars will be a big task, I'm doubting they can come up with a horse working properly (see other games that have horses). I would love to see them in game, but don't really see it as something anytime soon or maybe at all, so don't get your hopes to high.

Hardcore hive... a solution to the division?

Dean has always looked at the game being hardcore so that is what probably the basic Standalone will be. When mods are implemented, thats where it will suit the more pvpers or other types of gameplay. This is just like the mod, tons of mods of the mod, the community is not divided, nothing will really change. People will play the version that better suits their likes. In my case, I am sticking with the hardcore mode, can't even play DayZ in 3rd person. -

You can already do this with the Oculus Rift, it is planned to work like that. I use alt+mouse all the time to look around all the time, find loot like you mention and especially in cars and choppers. -
Its easy to give a bunch of ideas, and think SA has plenty of it, the other thing is getting them into the game. DayZ Standalone will be an MMO, not an MMORPG. However comparing them to mmorpg's it will come up with many things in common, they will just make it work differently into the SA as it is a different type of gameplay.

Here an amazing vehicle physics I found on youtube which shows all kinds of collisions and car movements. When I first saw it I thought of ArmA immediately because it looked similar, and then thought it would be amazing to have it in DayZ Standalone, so here I post to suggest and share. Holding a key to raise weapon? Your thoughts

I would love this to be in SA, it is realistic and there is really no reason to be running with your weapon up all the time, unless you have crosshairs which in my opinion are lame. This also would benefit in the way of bumping into someone you can literally see if he is pointing at you or not, right now you don't know if someone is aiming at you or not. I even think right clicking scope mode should have another animation also to visually see the person scoping or just lifting their weapon. The only downside of this would be if people start sticking something on the key to have their weapon up all the time, but that would probably get them shot more often only and could maybe be countered by making get tired faster when holding the weapon up the linger. -
Fog system from Arma 3 -> DayZ standalone?

Yeah I watched this video when it was released and thought right away it should be in SA, this is the best fog ArmA has had. I don't know if there is any bugs on it, but if it works great then it should even be easy to add to DayZ. I always thought DayZ needs more weather admospheres, fog been a very important one. -
Yeah I agree, also this engine is a WIP, but even a very simple version of it would be better than what there currently is. Maybe the devs will contact them? :)

They should keep all snipers, just make the ammo rare, kinda like DayZ Origins, but with so much ammo and the dupping bullets is the main reason why we have KoS snipers on the hill all the time.

Just a simple poll regarding gore.

A version like VBS2 in DayZ would be amazing, I mean.. its a zombie game, which zombie game doesn't have gore? It could still be an option to turn down so there is little gore for the ones who don't like it. But most of the people would want more gore, just keep it realistic ;) -

Anything that has to do with safein DayZ is a no no for me, as this is part of the excitement in the world, nothing can be safe. However trading is a good idea, but there should always be a risk in doing so. On the server I play on there is a Merc buddy that has a whole trading system where you can buy or sell your good for some kind of cash which is managed on his thread on the forums. And whenever somwone wants to make a buy or sell something, they will be a risk for my buddy for him to get ambushed or someone on the outside of the trade to get involved and try to ambush both. This makes it very exciting and also practical.

Should have the wreack underwater somewhere as crash sites, for the sea or something like that. At least when you implement underwater gameplay for SA ;) Edit: By the way, can we fix it and use the ship? :D -
Ok I know it would be a crazy adition to Standalone, but just found out about the game and thought "These mechanics would be amazing in DayZ Standalone" the ideas are endless. So decided to bring it here and share, I'm sure people would agree on me here. Here a basic trailer of the mechanics.

I could use a bit more horror in DayZ, I know they cant be added to zombies that are everywhere, but making them much more dangerous will make you fear them more when they aggro or appear behind a corner by surprise or something like that.

I think you should be able to move inside buses and have sit as an option. Just imagine 20 people prown inside and scare someone that walks by lol -
I think this would ruin a bit the interaction with players that are met on the road. It gives you a special feeling when you don't know if someone will backstab you or not, If you know then you just avoid the whole situation. In real life you wouldn't have this board telling you who is good or bad. And by having side chat, that already can start creating a certain reputation on people.

You cannot lower handguns. And I think he means if you get jumped or kidnapped and the surrender action is what the hostile player wants you to do. But I would say this is more of a learn how to keybind rather than a suggestion for the game.

If DayZ ever comes out for consoles it will be after the release of PS4 and Xbox 720.
