    Choice is key to a good experience. The more servers the better.

    No way. There has to be choice. The main thing needed is for all servers to indicate their time zone in their title.

  4. Adjusting the gamma up gives a good simulation of human night vision. Losing the ability to adjust gamma will just make even more people abandon night servers.

    Gamma and brightness

    I used the latest beta build last night and found a night server where the gamma control would not work for me. I hope its a glitch rather than a sign of things to come. Gamma up at night was very close to natural human night vision for me. Losing that will be a massive blow.

There is no way to approach randoms without massive risk. There are plenty of full-time Bandits that live for suckering people with fake offers of friendship. Just check this guy out for a great example....

    I think the complaint is more that the risk involved in approaching random players to try to buddy up is so high as to not make it worth doing. There are no downsides to killing players so rather than risk losing all hard won gear players default to shooting on sight. I'm sure everyone would like to be able to enjoy the benefits of co-operative play.

    [Suggestion] Night/Day Cycle

    Here's my 2 cents. The day/night cycle is fine as is but the ratio of day to night could follow the seasonal changes of the area that the map is modeled on. I'm no expert but it's Eastern Europe/former USSR somewhere isn't it? The big issue that is causing players to jump servers is that the game does not accurately model natural night vision. Even on dark nights the average person can see enough to walk around. The game should reflect this so that fiddling with gamma is not necessary. In the same way bright lights like headlights and flashlights messing up your night vision should be modeled as well. Until the game does natural night vision properly I (like nearly everybody else) will just keep jumping to a daylight server.
