    Actually I've been killed in many random areas including the woods, at my damn spawn point, and most recently me and some friends went into a store when some bandits server hopped in and shot my team-mates in the face. I got lucky and was only unconscious so i managed to get up and kill the bandits while they were occupied killing my team-mates. the PvP is excessive in DayZ mainly because there's no repercussions.
