please excuse my stupidity for asking this but wouldn't keeping night vision on rangefinders just be a more limited version of the nvgs that generally only good for snipers/overwatch? I would say also remove the NV option from the rangefinders because than all it takes is a quick check of range before firing. -

Does anyone have an issue with increasing sniper and LMGs to 15 units of space thus an authentic and logical change without overly hindering those whom already use both a backup and one of the two heavier weapons. I won't say it doesn't hinder them because it will but not to the point where their gameplay will be discouraged or hurt. -

I just like collecting gear and hopefully one day setting up a hesco camp with tilted walls that help prevent grenades and the camo netting to hinder sniper fire from attacking anyone inside. and inside we farm cattle and pumpkins and use a natural pond for water, and trade with outsiders in a hope to rebuild society.... but saddly dayz doesn't give me the right tools to make it a real thing. -

Well are you not more skilled if you can build a sturdy house faster than someone with better tools? giving your self a handicap and still winning proves you have more skill, it always has. tu Now I don't see the reason to have a m107/AS50, but not have armor or allow us to set up cover (camo nets). -

I call bullshit, you know why, because I've played a quite a bit of normal arma 2 and vehicles are quite easy to immoblize with basic assault weapons, and Tatics. I say if we are gonna have 50. cal weapons give us some abandoned armor since why the hell not. -

while it would increase server load, I've seen custom skins done before in APB which has 100 player servers, while the two do use different engines and the apb servers are privately owned by the developers, I do see a more restrictive settings on custom skins working for dayz when it goes stand alone since. -

I think having custom/private skins that groups can use to identify each other, however they would need to uses a special squad url, so you would have to infiltrate the group to earn access to their skin and use it against other players. (this gives more verity of skins, as well as gives custom skins to groups to allow them to have a uniformed apperence). However that would be the best solution I can think of however it doesn't have to replace findable skins in-game. -

and how do you know they were a bandit and not some possible friendly? also While I won't agrue with you against the need of snipers but whats the need for the m107 and AS50 when we have the DMR,M24,SVDcamo,possibly the m14? -

So How Many Have Stoped Playing DayZ?

I have for the most part unless I get asked to either help someone out. I wish camo nets and hescos were added to be build in-game, as well as a checksum that stopped things from being placed in buildings -
Because the mind set most the time is one sided, everyone is a potential threat. And not everyone is a potential threat, potential friend, or neutral and will just leave me alone. So really the problem is that most players don't like other players and enjoy "kicking over their sand castle".

While hacking is a problem, I'm willing to bet that its a common issue, however the kill everyone in the server is a less common example/extreme of it. I bet most the hacks are the spawning stuff in or changing play skins (some of the us army and usmc skins/man types were still enabled in the patch before singleplayer was disabled.) Know the only reason I say this is because a week or two ago, I seen some humvees(could someone provide the correct spelling of the acronym?), and some helis prior to them being brought back.
