I do because I can see what is a more common cause to why players leave and why they stay. So far a majority of players that have left in recent or at least by those posting threads, have been due to hackers, and the rest have been those fed up with a sandbox with only tools to kill each other.

However it is not 100% the communities fault that its a shoot on site fest when the way dayz works is that it is also the most rewarding and safest way to play.(i'm not talking about those who go out of there way to PVP.) So really its partly the communities fault for being weak willed and going down the path of least resistance as well as the games fault for rewarding the killing of other random players much more so than working with them. However you still have those who don't wish to take the easy route and don't kill on sight and get called noobs,carebears,etc. , when we ask for more content outside of killing each other, or would hold little to no value in PVP. Now there is no reason for the community to be as hostile as it is on the forums, since we are real people trying to hopefully discuss ways to boarded dayz into more than what it is currently.

well for one your using a laptop even though its alienware its still a laptop and can over heat quickly. also when streaming you want both your capture res and your steam res to be the same aspect ratio. Also don't watch your stream while streaming.

he is saying over and around, like how you would in real life, I can raise my self slightly in a prone position and get a peek over an object, or even slightly tilt my self to see around it without havint to roll or go in a crouch postion. the current arma 2 leaning system that dayz uses isn't good enough. Edit: SMK needs to be part of dayz if third person is to be removed.

I'm not gonna say anything about the OP because I don't know them, But I will say they are wrong because the ALT-F4 Playstyle is an exploit of the game mechinics to get out of combat or avoid death that is not physically possible.

I see a lot of complaints that it should be removed, and I'm fine with it being removed if we can add the new leaning system from arma 3 into dayz since it provides a more realistic peaking system as well as ordering everyone a TrackIR4 ;)(dayz bundle)

while I agree, and you should be completely visiable in the open, however having your body heat show through some thin walls and brush makes sense but it would also not be as bright as it would be out in the open. I also think vehicle heat signatures should fade away after a while if the engine has been shut off.

Friendly My group that I lead, want to be bandits but I got them to at least not shoot till we take fire and view other players with caution. We have different teams, each with its own role. (sniper team,spotter team, assault/raiding team, and recon team) Generally, we just raid towns and gather loot for our tents right now, and looking for a vehicle. Anyway I'm currently working on getting my grouped trained and getting them to behave >.< my current gear is akm/m16(in backpack) m1911 the rest of my other stuff, Idk cause I have played in two weeks.

I think that people want a counter for it, and not a equivalent.. I mean paper doesn't counter paper. Now I'm not gonna say thermal scopes need a counter, but I do think it wouldn't be bad if we toss around the idea of a way to mask your thermal signature, or even having leaves make it less intense at range.

But weapons do degrade as you use, without proper cleaning... ever seen a bolt break in an m16 due to poor cleaning? You say its a boring mechinic but it does add authenticity, since weapons do grim up after being fired.

So the changes they made for arma 3 in terms of leaning were not needed and a waste of time? because all they do is allow you to see through walls? the bobbing up and down needs to be added to arma 2 stat

Except for peaking over cover however arma 3 does bring that in which I'm glad

Haven't read the rest of the tread but I do like having more RU weapons than m16/m4 styled weapons. Also would like to see more player skins avalible as it would add a lot to the feel of the game.
