any chance to give players the option to disarm each other or even detain them, cause these would make it more practical.

explain to why adding tools for players to set up safe zones would be bad? I have yet to see a logical reason to why not. as well as why players who want to deviate from killing each other get flamed to a crisp.

nope end game is survive, also killing other players is mid-game and even than it doesn't say kill other survivors.

I think this has potential in terms of how it will work. If fortifying a town slows down zombie spawn rate and decreases the zombie cap. I would also like to see way to disarm players without having to kill them. There are ways to add ways to make safe zones that don't feel artificial. I see nothing wrong with giving players tools to create practical safe zones.

So, I was moving to the deer stand north of stary, coming out of novy. I see a crashed heli, and see zombies aggro towards a player, he proceeds to take them out and in an attempt to show i'm not hostile. I throw a smoke nade at the crash site, I than start taking fire from most likely the same player. I manage to hide in novy and I wait about 5 mins in a building no longer taking fire. I decided to disconnect and get some food and chill a bit before getting back on. However I don't know if I did the right thing and wait 5 mins before disconnecting.

while I agree, it does trivialize perma-death, I do think they are needed because they offer a way to store items and be able to set up a camp.

What I find amazing about Minez is that more people are generally friendly and won't kill you on sight which I would like to know why and see if there is a possible way to get that into dayz.

well I really don't deal with other players unless I meet them in the woods and than I just avoid them since there are no non-lethal ways to neutralize them.

thats just how arma 2 did m107 and AS50, if i'm correct dayz altered the code so players could have both. I think the way arma 2 does it is way better how dayz does it.

I'd rather die than give you the trill of a fight, and dc upon death to rob you of any loot. If you don't like that well how about you go loot buildings instead.

we already have murder counts in terms of the debug info and I don't see anything wrong with removing murder count and bandit kill count from it, I mean both those stats are worthless to dayz. -

why do people keep saying use 3rd party?! It seems kinda odd that noone is giving ways to group up with friendly players in-game without the help of 3rd party apps -
so if given the chance you would blow up the NW barracks and the cherno/stary tents just so no one gets any high end loot?
