    Tis the drawback of private servers. You have to try and find one with decent admins. I too had issues such as this in the past, got on a server for 3 or 4 weeks and same kind of stuff started happening. It seems like its either deal with the hackers in global servers, or many times admins that aren't much better in private servers. At any rate, if you are still looking for a server, still trying to build up the server I recently started running. Currently only have 4 or 5 fairly regular night time (us) players, I try to be as active as possible, but until the server gets built up some more and I find a few people I can trust its just me as admin (though I am off and on throughout the day, and available 6 to 8 hours at night). Have loads of veh, heli and planes along with custom military bases built for looting (watch out going into some of these if more than one persion, it can get out of hand =) If you want to stop by and poke around sometime, just search dayz247, should be the only result.

    Looking for a new home...

    Hello, I cannot promise you all of what you have on your list, as my server is newly created (this week). I am still trying to build up a group of players. I do have custom bases built into the map (planning more in the future, dont want to add everything at once), and lots of vehicles. As far as admin abuse, well that is why I created this server.... I had issues with that in the past on multiple servers, and figured this would be the best route. As far as active admins go, it is only myself at the moment, so I cannot promise a whole lot. At any rate, if you would like to poke around, just search for "dayz247".

  5. My apologies if this is within another forum post, I've been searching all day and haven't found anything that would work. I am trying to create zombie spawn points, without having a "visible" building and no loot spawns. I have tried placing dog houses under ground, but they seem to end up above ground once merged and uploaded to the server. I have tried created invisible Heli spots (H-invisible) then modifying config.cpp with the code below to have it spawn zombies, but this caused the game to get stuck at "waiting for host" H-invisible spawn code: class ForestRoaming: Default { lootChance = 0; zombieChance = 0.9; zombieClass[] = {"zZombie_Base","zZombie_Base","z_teacher","z_suit1","z_suit2","z_soldier","z_soldier_heavy","z_policeman"}; minRoaming = 0; maxRoaming = 10; }; class HeliHEmpty: ForestRoaming {}; Does anyone know of a working way (or how to fix either of the above two issues) to create zombie spawn points without visible buildings and loot?

    Just normal junk showing my login, write[pass] etc etc .... i spawned 500m from the helihempty , ran to it... no zombies lol. Driving me up the wall.

    Both of these are placed in the config.cpp right?
  9. Base building as in player built bases? Or base building as in map developer willing to build bases for players? At any rate, mine is a new server, still working on getting player count up. If a player designs a base using the arma2 map editor I have no issues with including it into the server mission file. Provided that it doesn't spawn loot and isn't huge in size (ie, i won't include bases the size of a city lol). I also do not have any issues with throwing together quick small bases for people who have problems with the map editor. I'm not a big fan of the in game player base building functions (quite tedious), as it is much quicker and easier (not to mention efficient) to build them through the map builder.

    Map questions

    Is there a way to create a label on the map for all players to see that will persist after a server restart? Also, what is the longest barrier type object? I am currently using h-barriers (large) for creating walls around military camps, and have tons and tons of them. Is there something that is longer that I can use (reducing the amount of stuff I add in game, trying to reduce mission file size, every little bit helps).

    Map questions

    I am editing the map to create high value military camps (with very high risk due to large zombie count and choke points) for players on my server (via modified mission), was looking for something longer than the h barrier so that I can reduce the 20,000 "vehicles" (I guess fortifications are vehicles in zombie land lol) that I currently have in the mission.sqm right now.
