military flashlight is the best, i swear the zombies cant see it (but cant confirm) also chemlights are better than flares for some local light, also they can be seen at different distances from green blue to red (furthest to shortest view distance) so take the red ones and just move it around to what you want to see, if you need more light use the flashlight ateast you can switch it off and take it with you. I hardly ever use flares unless im in the middle of nowhere and only for a short time or I throw them as bait and run away to a vantage point and wait for people to be drawn in xD

people talk BS windows 8 is just 7 with extra stuff. In desktop mode its hard to tell the difference really and its similar under the hood too. Nearly EVERYTHING that worked on 7 works on 8. (Nothing i've tried has failed but I have heard of some people with problems on obscure software) I have 60 games and every one has worked on 8. HL2, ep1 and ep 2. Portal 1 and 2 even half life 1, The game pages may not say its supported but probably because they haven't been updated. Windows 8 is so much faster than 7 so if anything its better for gaming IMO.
