Well I went for it. All the positive feedback clinched it for me. I'm currently running Namalsk, but I'm not sure if I want to run a private or public server and not sure what map I'll end up with in the long run. Extremely happy with how quickly I was up and running and pleasantly surprised by the extra features that I wasn't expecting. (custom loadouts, in-game map with player/spawn positions.) etc.. Thanks to everyone who replied to my questions. You should get some credit for convincing me to make the purchase. :)

Very nice.. I've noted both of your opinions and I am happy to say I'm strongly considering this provider over the rest. I love the look of the RC interface, and the idea of changing maps etc so easily is very attractive. My only hitch atm is that the price is so low compared to some of the other providers that I've looked at.. but from the sounds of things, it's not a matter of "getting what you pay for" (in the bad way) so I'm pretty sure I'm going to give this one a chance. Thanks to both of you for your replies. :)

How long have you been renting a server from them, and how much uptime vs. downtime have you seen? What was the longest you ever had to wait for a reply? I assume you recommend this provider then? It's nice to hear from one of their clients.. your answers mean even more to me than someone who represents the companies would.

I'm interested in renting a server from you guys, but a few questions first. 1. Is ftp access available now? I saw earlier in the thread that it was being worked on. 2. How long does it take to get up and running. If I ordered a server today, would it be ready today? 3. How easy is it to switch maps if desired? Can I run Namalsk for a day and then switch to Chernarus if I want to? 4. What about switching from private to public hive? Can I do that or am I stuck with one or the other? 5. How quick do you get back to me on support tickets? My clan has had 2 servers already and both of them had crappy service, can you convince me that your company is different? That's all I can think of for now.. Let's see how quick you get back to me on this. ;) Edit: It seems some of my questions have been answered throughout this thread. I would still appreciate an answer to the ftp question, and the one about how you're different from other companies. My credit card awaits your response. ;)

I will head straight to the "empty" areas of the current map to check out the new areas.. i can't wait to see Chernarus Plus! :) I'm also looking forward to playing with the new vehicles, but the very first thing I will do is open my inventory so I can see the new interface. After that, I will look for some zeds to agro and finally find a nice out of the way place to call home. (camp) My god, I can't believe how much I'm looking forward to getting a game that I'm basically already playing. :P

I've got the whole weekend to play, the wife and kids are going away until Sunday! :) Unfortunately I still have to work in the evenings. :(

For me the AKM is the current mid-range choice, for rare guns, I prefer an FN FAL. For zombies, the hatchet is unbeatable. For long range, I like my FN FAL or a DMR. The only worthwhile sidearms are the m1911 or PDW..

A little disjointed, creepy stuff going on but a little too much and at the wrong times. Not bad for a first attempt, I can't wait for the sequel. ;)

I went hunting in Old Hospital area after being informed that there was a sniper there.. Climbed to the roof of a building and saw a ghilli run by within a few minutes. Shot him dead and reported that the sniper was dead. 5 minutes later, I made my way down from the roof, but was killed by what I assume was either his partner or maybe even him coming to investigate his corpse. Either way, it was fun as hell.. very cool feeling to outsmart someone like that, but it sucks to be out-smarted minutes later. My heart was pounding for a good half hour after.. good times! :)

Get Dayz Commander, update everything, and you will be set. I used to keep Dayz up to date manually until the new maps started showing up.. then I realized that DC kicked ass. You can even hunt other players with the server filters. It's awesome!! ;)
