Batman: Watches Cherno and Elektro from Pik Kozlova peak.. Doesn't kill anyone, attacks only those who attack "friendlies" leaves his victims disarmed and bleeding, but always makes sure they have enough resources to survive.. ;) (extra points if you use a helicopter)

When I first spawn, I run around like a newb agro'ing zeds and then losing los. Once I find a hatchet, I get a little more stealthy.. but I'm still not too concerned if I take a hit or 4. Once I find an Alice pack, a Compass and a proper sidearm, I get a tad more cautious.. Once I find a primary that I'm happy with, I will begrudgingly pack away my axe into my toolbelt.. Until that moment, I couldn't give a shit if I live or die.. Once I'm geared up, I will join up with my squad or even just creep around and watch things.. But you can't change the way I think about this game, Mr. Bandit... I adapt to the way the game works and I play it the way I *want* to play it.. ;)

Try filtering servers so you only get those with the beta patch that you have installed.. ps. not American. Canadian.. ;)

He answered before I got the chance. :( But he's right! You first need a map, and even when you have one, your location only shows up on "Recruit" servers.

Provided the server is running the same beta version as you, you should be able to connect and play. Bumping your posts over and over is really annoying. I posted this in the bug tracker a week or so ago, it's known and is most likely an Arma 2 engine bug and related to the onboard graphics card. Not related to DayZ. I could be wrong about that, but it's unlikely. https://dev-heaven.net/issues/36631

This works.. I used it last night and again today. Find a server, connect via "Remote" and play. Note the port, but don't put it into the IP field, replace whatever is in the "Port" field, and it should work. (sometimes a single machine hosts more than one server, thus changing the port but still having the same ip, which is why it can still work)

Well for starters, I've heard of a ghost of a survivor that just crouches there, staring at you, and he disappears if you get too close. Shoot at him and nothing happens, he just keeps staring at you..(edit: apparently he shoots back sometimes..) (while you fight off the zombies you agro'd) Video: Then there's the mass grave in the back of the tower that breaks legs and makes you bleed, if you walk on it. Oh and of course the server hoppers who will spawn in behind you and shoot you in the back of the head. All good reasons to avoid the place, imho.

Yikes.. do not go near the mass grave site at night.. also, if you see a survivor crouched in the area, looking at you. DO NOT SHOOT AT HIM. RUN AWAY and DO NOT LOOK BACK. Omg.. They're all telling you the truth. you need to get out of there asap. Edit: He hasn't posted since the OP.. he's already gone. :(

Sounds like Green Mountain to me.. Is it on a giant hill? Are there lots of dead military around?

How did you have a helicopter? Are they still in-game, because I thought they were removed temporarily.. Ghillies are also bugged in this version.. what build are you playing?

..lol He *did* take a lot of bullets.. I'm friendly, but I still would have killed him for most of the things you say he did. :P

I've been playing for well over a month now, Steam says I've got 151 hours played, but that doesn't count single player. I had a home server for awhile, and I loved being able to pitch my tent and store supplies in it, but then the server went down. I am looking for a fairly friendly server, that isn't going to randomly go down in the near future, that keeps the beta at the latest stable version, and is in my timezone. I don't care if it's 3pm=1/CH=1 or not, difficulty level doesn't matter, I just want to know that the server will be there, when I try to login tomorrow. I realize that I'm risking giving away my location before it's even posted, but I don't intend to divulge the server that I choose in this thread, for this reason, I ask that server admins pm me their ip/server info, if they are interested gaining level headed, non-hacker, friendly players.. Otherwise, just post your details in this thread and I'll check out the servers that are suggested until I find the best one for me. Thanks in advance for any replies. Trolls/flames will be ignored. <3

Thanks for the input. I'll keep that in mind. At the moment my main concern in finding a server that won't be gone from the server list in a few days. I also would take the population into account, because it's no fun trying to join a full server when your playtime is limited. Any suggestions on specific servers?

Your best bet is to get someone to give you a blood transfusion, or hunt and eat some animals, until you're back at 12000 blood. You should see what it looks like when you get >1000.. ;)
