  1. Mr.C, this isn't realistic. Not even close. All you see is black and some stars. Seriously guys, stop being such anus-stimulated fanboys, this is not realistic - not even the slightest whatsoever. Damn you guys are annoying, just realize the fact already.

Oh yeah? ;) We're loaded with some nice hardware as well :) We were talking about pulling over and taking you guys out, but we'll play nice for a bit :D You guys do look pimp in that van though, lol. Edit: The guy died because he was going to show a friend how the game works :P Our paths shall cross again. Edit2: As far as I know there's only one Military Offroad per map, but there is a UAZ which is pretty much the same as the Military Offroad, just not as badass :)

    [Video] Shopping Disaster

Oh, we had that happen to our Military Offroad once, but we didn't lose the stuff in it - we lost it entirely due to a server crash/restart and we had saved it just before it happened :( It was never to be found.

Or we could settle this with 4 vs 4 Hatchet/Crowbar >;P Naw, but we're usually friendly as well. Kind of. I mean, I want to be friendly - but it's so hard to be friendly in DayZ because you will get shot on spot, and if not, they'll shoot you after appearing to be friendly for a while. And you get especially paranoid when you've got some good equipment, which was probably why we took you guys down :P The guy was sitting in the back of the truck, and got out after the grenade went off, not sure if he got out because he actually died - might have been the case. We'll keep our eyes open for a Helicopter ;)

We were 3 guys there, I tossed the nade... I am surprised myself how well the grenade hit! We're not necessarily bandits, I'm the one with most Murders, dunno about bandit kills. And I don't kill other players just for the hell of it. But we had just lost a Huey and were desperately looking for a more stable server and/or a car. And we found both, lol. We were literally proning around behind the apartments messing around and we heard a car just outside and were like "Oh... shit a car guys O_O" Am also surprised that guy in the back survived my grenade, the hell? >.<

    Vehicle Fixes

Okay so vehicles are obviously one of the biggest "do-wants" in all of DayZ, and have driven most if not all cars in DayZ, even the huey I have to say that Vehicles have to be fixed, fast. Vehicles are so useful in DayZ, but this is negated due to the fact that they're more fragile than your limbs which seem to be held in place by nutella. Take the V3S Truck for example, if you hit a small fence/roadblock at around 5km/h and if the wheels are damaged - it will explode. Get stuck on a fucking aluminium can? It will explode. This happens to pretty much every vehicle, only the Military Offroad seems to be working properly. So what has to be fixed: • Vehicles take WAY too much damage from hitting objects. • Can survive tons of bullets, a tin can? Fuck no. You die. • Vehicles get stuck on objects too easily and usually results in the vehicle exploding. • Inventory "Calculator" - Showing how much room is used and how much it has, very much like the backpacks. • ATVs flip from nothing, ATVs are meant to be offroad but as soon as they go offroad - they will flip eventually. Seems to be highly reproducible going uphill. • ATVs needs to either be fixed or given the option to flip it back. • Cars are too slow off-road. • More? That's pretty much all I can come up with right now, if anyone else have some ideas/suggestions feel free to post them and I'll add them to the list!
  9. Nope, rocket wants discussion, not tons of feedback. 90% of it is garbage anyway. Discussion about this subject is impossible because there's too many assholes that already have NVGs, and they're the ones bitching about that it's not too dark and etc because they have a superior advantage. If anyone thinks this is realistic, you should be shot on spot. It's nowhere near realism. This is more like it should be.
  10. Ok, so Zombies have this chance to knock you unconscious in 1 hit, and according to the Wiki it says if you're below 10 000 Blood, I can however prove this wrong. After killing a bandit with a Hatchet and he managed to hurt me down to ~2.3k Blood, after a lot of annoying moving around to find Box of Matches, I managed to find TONS of Raw Meat, which got me up to around 10k blood, then I found another cow which got me up to 12k Blood. Then I went to a Barn and fired an Enfield(Yay, Enfield!) and "some" zombies got alerted. I ran up the staircase but 1 zombie managed to hit me and knocked me unconscious, at 12k blood. And that resulted in my death. Now to my Suggestion: Remove this piece of shit feature! I mean come on, this is not the first time it happens but every time it did, I've died. I'm all up for them being able to break your legs and all that, but knocking you unconscious is just straight-out fair. Especially when it doesn't work as intended. You can actually survive breaking your leg, but not being knocked unconscious, the duration is way too long - and Zombies will eventually break your legs. And not to mention if you have a Primary weapon selected, when you regain consciousness you'll change to your sidearm and then back to your Primary again. Further decreasing the chance of survival. I think it's a stupid idea in itself if it were to work as intended. Them breaking your legs make you stressed but it's still a fun situation because it's challenging, being knocked unconscious is not a challenge - it's death. No questions asked. What are your thoughts about this?

    Removal of Unconscious on Hit

Zombies wouldn't happen at all in real life. And I'm not saying it should be realistic, in fact, too much realism is a bad thing - this feature is just annoying because 90% of the time, you die. It's not fun to have survived for over 10 Hours, then die to a few zombies because they knock you unconscious when at 12k blood. :/

    Removal of Unconscious on Hit

You can't in any possible way compare such fighters to a zombie. Those fighters have martial art experience, and great strength - Zombies do not. And that's why it's a ridiculous feature.
  13. DayZ Logic If anyone think this is realistically dark, piss off. This even with Brightness and Gamma turned UP. It's not playable like this, it really isn't. And it's nowhere close to being realistic, seriously Rocket come on.
  14. What the midnights should be like. 'Nuff said tbh.
  15. Not to mention the light is rendered through walls, so the flashlight always gives away your location even if the other player is like 200m away. A player that is far away and using a flashlight will light up the entire building for other players when it's pitch-black. I read that the .2 hotfix will have some fixed tone-mapping to adjust the darkness ingame, so I'm kind of interested to see that. But still, I'm so god damned sick of dying all the fucking time because I can't see anything but a few clouds and I have no ways at all to defend myself against zombies or other players.
  16. There are a lot of issues with DayZ(And ArmA 2 in general), of course. Such as vehicles getting stuck on tin cans, and blowing up because you popped a fucking tire. But come on. The biggest gamebreaking thing in DayZ is the nighttime. It's not realistic at all, in 1.7.0 it was annoying - but somewhat doable. In 1.7.1 it's just impossible, it's not even the slightest realistic. Try to go into the middle of the forest, you won't see for shit but your eyes will adjust. It will take a long time, but you'll be able to see a little. Now you can't see anything, only the sky and even then, barely the sky. The Flashlight is a pain in the ass to use, it takes up way too much room, it uses the sidearm slot so you'll have a hard time defending yourself. All you can do now is to haul ass through buildings and then try to lose their aggro through glitchy Line of Sight. This isn't fun, only annoying. It was way more fun to start out with a Makarov and sneak your way through a city, and if you got zombies on your ass then you could actually try to kill them while still risking to get more zombies on your ass. What's bugging me is that sprinting in daytime attracts more zombies than some fucking gunfire, I mean come on Rocket, this isn't realistic, it doesn't make sense and it's not fun. It sucks, it's an utter piece of shit system. Please, revert back to 1.7.0 and work further on 1.7.1 before releasing it, please! Edit: Though I'm glad to see that the Zombies are more open about their sexuality. Zombies having fun... And more fun...
  17. Basically this' date=' with emphasis on the FPS lag. I didn't mind getting killed by a fresh spawn, because if I got killed by a Makarov - it was my own damned fault. The Makarov really is that bad. You can prone behind someone and empty the mag in their ass and they won't give a fuck. They'll just run around bleeding from their ass confused as to what to do. Should they bandage and risk to get shot? Or should they just try and run for it and try to bandage the last second, or die from bloodloss? That's what made DayZ good, those that had quite a few hours on their character would still be at great risk along the coast, not only to Zombies or other geared up players going back for medical supplies and then back to camp the NW/NE Airfield - but also to new players. What Rocket have done now is like every other game out there, punish new players by a whole fucking lot. New player? Oh, hey, fuck you, here, have a flashlight and piss off. Old player? Oh, hey, free kills along the coast for you! And a Flashlight! Or two. Or a hundred. [b']Edit: Also there's the fact that the Flashlight takes up 4, yes 4! FOUR! Inventory slots, god damnit Rocket, that's half our backpack! Don't get me wrong, the Flashlight serves its purpose real well but it just doesn't make sense! And that it uses the sidearm slot doesn't make sense either, but I'm fairly sure that's the case due to engine limitations. If we're to spawn with that little Flashlight, at least make it so that it only uses 2 slots instead of 4, because that's outrageous. Even in 1.7.0 I got discouraged to pick the Flashlight up, even though I wanted because it takes up a whole 4 slots! I really hope Rocket tries to turn this into some KickStarter project, not only could he make a hell of a lot of money himself, but he'd also get rid of ArmA 2's limitations. Rocket, UDK. Use it. Just look at how big this mod is. It's in Alpha. Alpha! And there's a sick amount of limitations with the ArmA Engine, look at how many people actually bought ArmA 2 + Expansions only to play this mod, it's ridiculous. I'm not even kidding when I think it must be at least 30-40% of all the sales. Surely you won't be able to pull off such a project all by yourself, but that's what KickStarter is for - to get your project running, you'll get a budget you can use to hire people. There's a lot of money to be made here, and I know I'm making it sound easy when it really isn't but I still think it'd be worth it in the long run. And you have a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge community that will support you to 100%, that's for sure!
