I like that DayZ has a good community in and out of game, and it's hardcore opposition to hackers.

I will say I am new to the PC gaming scene besides the original titles like Diablo and StarCraft I didn't play much after my commador 64 in te way of games until last year and am just now getting into fps games (until now or played Xbox games have over 90 titles and didn't see much use in jumping to PC until friends migrated) So I started playing PC games like battlefield, Counter Strike, Firefall, Hawken, LoL and so on until I bought arma and DayZ. Something I've notice in the last while is how slow the reaction time of PC Players are in combat I'm not putting them down I'm just wondering if anyone else notices, my first ever spawn in DayZ and arma for the matter I come face to face with a legitimate bandit trying to kill me for my gear, I was in the gear screen learning the controls and after he fired his first shot I had time to exit gear screen equip pistol and dome him. If this was BF3 for Xbox idda been dead long before having that kind of time, since then the Only deaths I've had are from alt tabs and fall damage... What gives.

I have a 3 year old toshiba satellite laptop with stock everything and 18.5 inch screen and I run med everything no chop.

.... I thought this was about western style maps to, and how young are you, you don't know what spaghetti western means. I wouldn't mind a North American map but it would have to be bc or Alaska to be accurate and usable because everywhere else would require to much barren space like badlands or prairies or urban centres with unasable buildings.

Hello everyone, I'm new here and new to Arma I've been following DayZ for sometime now and finally started downloading Arma II Plus Expansion, I was just wondering, what is the best, most efficient and safest way to download the mod. I see the two methods on the site so I assume 2 of them are safe but is there anything I should know before installing. PS I'm using a Steam cliented Arma

Another question, I have Arma 2 Dedicated server and Arma 2 CO Dedicated Server in my steam list. What does this mean I have the ability to join a ded server or create one? And does creating a ded server require money or a host computer or is it buying/ reserving a offsite ded server?

I wanna join this hostile server!
