looks amazing guys cant wait to get in and enjoy it. defiantly worth buying a new rig for! -
So after being killed by several survivors on site for no reason I've come to the possible conclusion that bandits may be better people then survivors, one they stalk and kill only for sport or gear (real bandits not Bambi killers) and have a sort of bandit friendly code with other bandits, so this is a half question half statement is being a bandit becoming like the rebel alliance or another smaller force that is seen as bad by the larger power that really isn't and the survivors are the empire and the Hero's the Sith or government ( sorry for all the Star Wars references couldn't think of a better comparison ) Could bandits be the good guys? What's your thoughts.

Have you tried waiting outside the building for 30 seconds and then entering my Tavania server I play on is famous for taking forever to spawn loot. Or is the loot spawning and simply no weapons.

Don't feel bad some 3 Points are like weapon accessorie arubix cubes. If I go to put mine on my rifle after being on leave I have to think how does this magic work lol.

Bandit Hunting, are Bandits the good guys?
CF Mallard replied to CF Mallard's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I ran into a hero yesterday while me wearing my full bandit gear after a quick talk through a building decided it was better to hunt the 4 guys KoS everyone then to kill each other and lose our gear. We must have looked like an odd pair. -
There has been alot of talk about people combat logging to save their gear and with the standalone approaching it gives the Devs a chance to rein in some of this and bring the combat and finality of engagements to realization. This is an exert from one of my post in a thread from a guy whining about being player killed alot and the discussion that followed about combat logging. "I think DayZ standalone should implement Epics disconnect penalty, in Gears of War 2 and 3 if you disconnected before the match was other you could not reconnect to any match until the match you had disconnected from had finished obviously this would not work with DayZ because of persistent servers but a predetermined time penalty (30-45mins or until server reset *My personal favorite*) for disconnecting would deny you return access to any server unit the timer expired. This penalty would not exist if a predetermined list of rules was met, I.e No players in combat for 300m from player, no zombie presence for 25m and player not in combat, player not injured (actively bleeding or unconscious)" Obviously this isn't a bulletproof solution to the problem and it has many holes critazism and suggestions welcome and ill build an outline and criteria board and then see what everyone thinks. (I know this wont be implemented just throwing the ol' thinking ball around lol)

^ I defiantly agree as I get disconnected from servers at least twice a day, just hoping we can find a way to stop the logging as yesterday someone stole our truck we shot the tire out and when he jumped out we shot and broke his legs then... Nothing he was gone and player list revealed he had intact disconnected.

I think the Lee Enfeild is under rated :P
CF Mallard replied to ck3 (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Ill pass most any weapon minus the M24 and keep the Enfield lots of ammo good damage and I've owned three personally, one of my favourite rifles. -
Put simply disconnecting the cord or electronically disconnecting your Internet connection would lag your character and may in fact leave him static anyway negating the reasoning behind trying to manually disconnect. Ie my friend lost connection while we wre driving and over vent he said he had lagged about and his character remained in the drive seat driving in a straight line for almost 30 seconds.
-
So yesterday after two guys crashed a chopper me and my friend went to look their bodies him providing overwatch and me looting he said someone was coming so I ducked behind a car and he shot the approaching player, after I was sure he was dead I looted his body and found a Winchester and ammo and a Mountain Dew never having seen one before but heard about them in game I took it. So my question is the Dew different from other sodas besides its rarity? And if so why? Should I covet the Dew? Or just drink it. P.S tried searching didn't see any specific threads on Mountain Dew.
-
Agreed, I think manual disconnection and lag out or connection drop would be easy to differ tho.
-
The BlurGaming servers are usually high pop and good action and good balance of bandits and survivors for all types of player interactions. Hope that helps. FYI not a Blur member or claiming to be one.
-
So hunting party anyone?
-
So I found the Dew and now that server is offline! It is cursed!

Tell me your stupidest death stories...
CF Mallard replied to Matteh's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
A few days ago I did a fresh spawn on a new server and found two guys in ghilie suits and they gave me a ride in a bus to their camp, expecting to be killed when they stopped and got out at their camp they both pointed at me in the car we had ditched the bus for and I panicked and jumped in the driver seat drove about 20 feet and took an as50 round in the head, then in side chat they asked why I had run and I said cause they were gunna kill me, yet replied "why would we show you our camp and then kill you..., we were gunna give you our spare as50..." Yep I felt like a retard. Looking back if you look at an object in DayZ obviously your weapon does to they had looked back to see if I'd gotten out of the car yet. -
Kind of like a safe room of Left for Dead or the save camps of Red Dead Redemption. Food for thought.
-
Never thought of this I do like it, if requirements are met logging out properly means immediate safe removal of player from server, if not player is left vulnerable in whatever location and position log was activated in for preset amount of time.

Me and my friend run this con where he does all the killing so I myself never gain the bandit skin and I head to an area we know survivors are gathering and I head in with some sob story about how my friend bambi broke his legs on a building and needs morphine or our car full of loot broke when we hit a random object and we need help then I lead them to an area he has vantage over and their exposed and he shots the most armed to the least armed and then I loot and we run off together into the bandit sunset back to camp.
-
I didn't even know they existed until I read that lol
-
So besides the obvious troll above I read up on the Green Mountain legend and about using a radio to receive the morse code message that reads: The Morse code translates to: We are no longer alive STOP This message will play every hour if operators are no longer responsive STOPMESSAGE Unable to quarantine subject change STOPMESSAGE This is followed by a roar, which is believed to be a zombie. Creepy... And you say there's a red hatch?

Is this the British ruck sack skin from early gameplay or another bag all together? Burga I think the Britts call them. P.s I'd like an 84 pattern Jump ruck.
