How can people just run around town with rifles?
wolf urine replied to Wick94's topic in New Player Discussion
You do not use guns on zombies in built up areas unless they are silent or you really need to. But if you have your main weapon drawn you can forward roll...and if it's done correctly this is vastly superior to stridding over fences So that's why you may see me leg it past waving my primary in Cherno :) -
Does anybody have a link for character face classnames? There was a very good one linked here until recently but it is no longer available: http://mydayz.de/en/...-your-character I'm looking for a currently available list showing all a the character face option codes for camoflage on face and arms Any help appreciated :)

You may well be right orlok......but I know somebody who's colour blind and sees green dogs and brown grass 'sometimes' but not always - it depends on the particular shade. If you are right then the rest of their graphics foliage colours etc are probably wrong, so they are likely seeing a different dayz zone to the rest of us
-
........that's because your cousin is colour blind Coke...same as some of the posters evidently are on this thread.

It's 40 mtres radius - should be regardless of buildings

Trouble Installing v.1.7.6...
wolf urine replied to Baseballkid3497's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Well your DZC is out of date...I'm running on 0.9.1.6.4....if thats any help -
Looks like not everybody has the same experience as yourself. Fired a G17 low noise weapon at a deer stand and all the zeds from the local village a meadow away desended on me
-
So no more chilling out while running through the woods - zeds might be behind the next tree :o !

Or get some other schmuck to do it for you :D

That's right...don't rely on tents. I usually do have a couple though stashed remotely inland from South and East coasts, and drop in the odd bit of useful duplcate gear - like if you find a second GPS. Can be usefull in times of the inevitable respawn when you cannot get back to your rotting corpse :) There are some locations where they can go pretty undetected by conventional means...but then some players have ways of finding these things easier than others >:(
-
Well just be careful what you leave in tents with the latest patch - pretty certain there are some glitches with tent contents and even the tents being lost. My tent contents vanished twice on a private server reset - and I'm pretty certain nobody looted - stash there 5 min before reset and gone 5 min after :( Then tested it again with some old tin cans - who wants to loot that Edit: Note that if you leave back packs containing loot in a tent the pack contents do vanish on server reset. This is not a glitch - always have done as far as I am aware.

Is it any big deal? Does it stop you playing? If yes, then there may be a problem....otherwise don't care about it :) I get alerts (different to this) but it has never affected my gaming experience.

Yes of course it's worth it....do it :)

This has happened to some others in the past. One solution I saw said to quit to the lobby and then restart again before finally quitting Quoting from an old post somewhere - not sure where - not my post: Basicly ive noticed that your character data does not save when logging out from server to server on the official hives. Luckily there is a fix for it (its not the first time it has been used), and it basicly involves logging out twice. NOTE: this is only a problem on official hives as far as ive seen, i cannot speak for private hives. When you are done for the day(z), and want to log out, you do so normally, clicking abort, and then ok. When you get to the servers main hub (the one that lists player names and ping) do NOT press disconnect. Instead press ok, and go back into the server. That way your character should have been saved in the spot you logged out, and you can log out normally.
