[Clarification] DayZ Server Monetization

Well, they already had rules prohibiting monetization on ArmA 2 DayZ mod, yet ALL of the servers out there sell items for money. There's just way too much servers for you to handle, the game will just end up like the mod, and eventually will die, cause people just cant stand P2W on the long term. GG DayZ, will probably die before release. -
What is it that makes the fps so bad? Engine? DX9?

shut up man, game runs like shit even if you have 16gb of RAM, the bottleneck is always the CPU. If you want decent fps, you need at least an i5 2500k or better. i have an athlon II x4 and i can barely run the game. hell, even a 4930k wont run the game at 60 fps, it's just bad optimized as hell. -

enfields are still used by a great extend in insurgent military and low-budget country's militaries. So they wouldnt be THAT unlikely to find. And for the lever action, isnt there a winchester-like weapon designed in 7.62x54r? And the mosin's iron sights are just terrible.

dude, wtf are you whining about? if you'd have a hard time finding the right ammo, so would everyone else, server hopping will eventually be fixed, you just want to make the game easier so you wont die while running down the streets of elektro yelling "friendly" to the sniper hills. Following your arguments, why dont all players spawn with a mosin, so they can 'defend themselves' from the terrible KOS'ers that inhabit the land? Well, why dont we forbid pvp in the game and create an arena and BG system so you can win honor and buy better weaponz, huh? or maybe a dungeon system where you can group up with your friends and kill mutant zombies that drop supplies and experience? FFS, just stop posting this casual-like arguments before someone gets banned. -
and that's the improved netcode and messaging system, fellas. People around here will probably say that this is a feature or something, and tell you to shup up cause "alpha".

well, the best overwatch spots to build your base on that are close to the coast is the solnichy quarry (the big cliff beside the city), pusta's mountain, barn north of power plant, etc. In the end it's all about finding the place that suits more your playstile. If you like to snipe people off, put a safe and some sandbags on a elektro or cherno's tower and be happy, if you like to hoard vehicles and gear, put your base as much into the woods that you can. -
nope, just nope. AI is already bad to say the least in the game, just imagine it with a m240 shooting down people from 600 meters away. just nope.

i dont really get it, you're complaining about the sway that's in place? cause i think there should be even more sway. If you ever fired a rifle with adrenaline pumping through you, you would know.

you dont understand it, your character holds the gun 60cm from your shoulder, like a pistol, when you aim, that's why the iron sights are so obscured and small and you shoot so goddamn innacurate, they clearly have elbow joint problems to handle the weapons correctly. the arma 2 ones with zoom were so good... y u do dis bohemia? :(

when loot get scarce again, you'll see how bullshit is the actual system. If this is a simulation, it should follow the IRL logic, right? IRL you'll spend 24/7 "online", so you can guard your shit if you want, on the game there will just be no point in storing gear just for hackers or no-lifes with a chopper find it out. Just see how it was in the mod, and you'll see what i'm talking about. The system that is in place just doesnt work. -

so much hyperbole on this post. i just want to be able to distinguish a friend when i would be able to see his face (AKA up to ~80m, when he's facing my direction). CQC in this game is already clunky, add the "everybody has the same face" effect and you have the shittiest system possible. -

cause it reflects directly on the ammo rarity and consequently on the gameplay. When you have 10 kinds of ammunition, the virtual chance of finding a specific kind of ammo is way slimmer than having every fucking thing in the game fire one of three catridges. Not to mention ammo stacking by killing other people, as everybody will use pretty much the same ammo. The game's already a mindless deathmatch, dump down the ammo rarity and we have the golden COD running simulator with ghost-zombies. Seriously, it shouldnt be even considered. Weapons are one of the main features of the game, and they keep fucking their system over and over again. In a game that's a simulator-wannabe, there's just no place for extremely casual mechanics like magic attachments, random dispersion, non authentic calibers, etc. What's next? Making cars be repaired with just one item? putting just one kind of food in the game? it's laziness at its best.
