yeah, sure, players will be MUCH entertained with building bases that anyone can break in into 2 minutes, or customizing cars that will still explode for hitting a bush. The game NEEDS a sense of progression, or the game will be EXTREMELY BORING when you get the gear, just as it is now.

Adding some semi-quests and events to the game would already cut a LOT of the unecessary pvp of the game, but people dont want it, cause as i said before, they just want a CoD with zombies. Check what are the most populated servers out there and see for yourself. -

m107 still too powerful for a survival game, if people want one AM rifle to take out helicopters or vehicles, go with the M99 bolt action, single shot sniper. It serves that purpose well and isnt unbalanced as semi auto, people shredder .50 semis. Obviously elektro hill snipers wont like it a bit, but that doesnt matter at all. -

Remove M107's and AS50's, add M99 single shot having the same damage as the AS50 to fulfill the anti-vehicle purposes. The army wouldnt bring anti material sniper rifles to civil war operations. All people that are against removing these misplaced semi-auto AM rifles from dayZ are whiny kids who cant kill people with proper weapons. Anti material rifles arent supposed to be used against personell in any way. -

people just want a CoD with zombies, not a minimum realistic game where your actions actually change you. So this wont be implemented, and humanity system will probably be removed. So shoot on sight, cause everybody will do the same. thank the 12~16 year old kiddies that think killing other people is fun, military weapons should be found everywhere and play on [500 vehicles + NVG/GPS/AS50 ON SPAWN] servers. -

remove the only day option, remove server hopping, make retarded people play the game as it should be. People that dont like to play night time are usually Ex-COD players who are actually the cancer of the game. -
tip: Dont shoot as soon as you spot your enemy, try to make him lose you through the woods, then you try to shoot him. You shot him without any cover, with him zeroed at you.

make fuel a LOT more rare use fuel as currency profit. No more clans hanging out in helicopters, they would only use it when extremely necessary. No more infinite fuel deposits, much more hardcore experience, finding a car, fixing it and needing to find fuel. Make jerry cans server fixed, BTW, to avoid server hopping bitches. Actually all supplies on dayZ should be limited, medical supplies should be EXTREMELY rare, to the point that finding one morphine auto injector would be a REAL pain in the ass. Blood bags shouldnt exist, as they wouldnt last any longer without electric energy to power the refrigerators. So hunting would be necessary to anyone. Well, everything should be currency, they arent now cause everything is freaking damn easy to find.

i started directly on dayZ, didnt play ArmA nor any mod related to it, and i'll tell you, the best weeks you have in the game, are the ones you spend learning the controls and the mechanics. A tutorial would just screw all this up. No tutorials, FFS.

The whiny force is strong in this one. You cant stand a fire fight if you're not using a full auto 3 shot kill rifle? That's sad dude, really sad. What you mean by "alienate" players? explain this, cause people wont stop playing dayZ just because military weapons are more rare. And, finishing, there's no sense in having american bases on russia anyway, they should be russian bases, that have regular post soviet russian gear, like ak47's, mosin nagants and SKS's. If you want a heckton of military weapons, so you can pew pews everybody and have funz killing peoples, go play BF3, COD or even regular ArmA. There's no point in having so much military weapons, only if the game happened on USA, where everybody can have military grade weapons. -
yep, you have to spray an entire magazine to effectively kill somebody, it does like 800 damage, totally useless.

in the next patch, problably rocket will add zombies that shoot mk48's saying that it's for the game's immersion, normal zombies are too easy to avoid. Lmao. Or zombies driving cars, who knows...

dude, i prefer to spawn at kamenka, check the deers stands for weapons and go for zelenogorsk for survival loot than spawning in cherno and getting slaughtered in the first 10 minutes of gameplay. Kamenka best spawn ever.

Not really, a big chunk of the energy that the 5.56mm have is lost with the pass-through, but i agree with you that it should incapacitate the target easily, i didnt say that, i'm saying that the whole damage system on dayZ is screwed up, we have much unrealistic damages that have been made like that to balance the game, like slugs doing 4500 damage (while they should do more damage than a rifle round) or a 9mm(makarov) not killing people with a headshot. Rocket already made his choice on balancing over realism, so we cant really put realism on the table when we're going to discuss nerfs or buffs on bullet damage.

Actually most usual rifle rounds will just go all through the target's body, as we're talking of military weapons, and the military uses FMJ rounds, not ho-point or soft point rounds. So a .45 ho-point (that's MUCH more common than 5.56 ho-point) would be much more devastating to the target, as it would shred all his organs, while a 5.56 would usually just poke a hole and cause an internal bleeding, without fragmenting or expanding inside the target's body. all the "damage" system on dayZ is screwed up, we're not talking about realism anymore, it's all about balancing. Without mention that the 12 gauge slugs do less damage than the pellets on this game, the slug's damage are just the biggest joke in the game, you need 3 slugs to the chest of someone to actually kill them, while in real life, just one would fuck him up totally. I think that there should just one big ass hangar on the airfield, with only one door, and tons of industrial spawns (mostly tools) inside it, no weapons. like this: Military weapons should only be found on crashed humvees, army armories (with a freaking HECKTON of zombies near/inside it) and helicopter crashes, with a good chance of them having bad quality and even explode when you shoot them, causing you to bleed or die. Obviously the last part isnt possible at all on this engine.

if you get shot by a freaking .45 ACP on the chest, you shouldnt even stand up because of the shock, but for some reason, you can take more than a dozen .45 to the chest and you'll still be able to run fine. Most weapons, even a .22 LR, are 1~3 shot incapacitating, this "realism" argument makes no sense at all. You should pass out REALLY easily, but die more slowly. The only insta-kills that should happen are from headshots, even a .50 to the chest wont kill at the same time it hits. Dammit, even chopping down someone's head wont kill them instantly, the brain will survive for something like 5 seconds before dying.

The most annoyin thing isnt even passing out with ONE damn slap from a rotting rabid zombie, but the fact that they run WAY too much, and in zig zag, no rabid-infected human would be like that, they would just run towards you. THIS is annoying and unrealistic, they could even do 1k blood damage per hit, but it's totally horsecrap that they can go through all kind of obstacles, even go through walls and break your leg in 2 hits, and when you try to kill him, you end up with 20 more on you, and even if you try to kill them, the infinite spawn will fu.ck you up. This game is turning to bullshit, seriously.

Maybe in the cave you could find some old abandoned mining gear, and you could mine some kind of metal from there, such as lead or iron, that you could use to make bolts for your crossbow, make a knife or even craft some bullets for your weapon (taking the other ingredients needed from cannibalizing different caliber rounds, more likely as fallout:NV crafting system, but more realistic.) When processing lead ore, for example, you could use the residues for poisoning your hatchet or your arrow. There's a heckton of possibilities on this, would be a great addition to the game.

They want to add difficult? Remove the 'safety ground' from inside trees and bushes, make zombies run into buildings. Now you have a really difficult gameplay. It's just a shame that NO one would play it, cause it would be total garbage, as the engine is totally bugged, the mod have various aspects just ridiculously far from realistic and... well, the mod will be forgotten in 2 or 3 months, as development will be totally transferred to the SA. I dont even know why am i playing this thing anymore.
