did you ever shoot a gun in your life? seems that you dont, really... arma/dayZ is a simulator and aiming a gun in real life isn't a easy thing to do. Cod, L4D and counter strike are utter bullshit when talking about realism. If you want to kill zombies and "gud graphiks", go play black ops 2, for fucking sake.

i'm all for adding these, but as a extremely rare residential spawn, and being a pain in the ass to get ammunition. i think there should be more SMGs in game too, UZIs or a .45ACP UMP would be a great addition to the game.

the best thing in this topic is the smartass that whines about the chance of infection in covering your clothes in infected guts, but ignores the fact that an infected can hit you 20 times, make you bleed and you still wont be infected/dead/whatever. Get your facts straight, dude.

even this way, the weapon have no weight, it's a hitkill, and with the ammunition bug, you have virtually infinite ammo for it. (.50 magazines should be one of the rarest things on a game like dayZ) they just screw the game, remove it and the problem is solved. I already suggested it before, but put barrett M99 in their place, doing the same damage as the AS50, but bolt action and single shot ,with a long reload, that would make it inviable for player hunting (as you have only one shot to take down the target, if you miss they'll find cover, and with new mechanic on the scopes, making a 1 shot kill will be kinda tough. -

and why do you think people would shoot inside a building? how would you be able to spot brass in the middle of the high ground vegetation that dayZ haves? You just cant predict a ambush this way, you need just to think like the enemy would do, brass wont solve your ambush problems. -
speak for yourself, kid. I dont think a bandit would be fucking around in the hills, trying to shoot people with an CZ550 (as % sniper drops will be certainly rechecked in standalone) with 15 bullets that took a day to find (as ammo will be much rarer than it is already), with his crosshair going up and down like crazy (cause, you know, if you chill on sniper hill, you'll die once in a day, at least, and having no experience in sniping will cause the player to shoot innacurate). And yes, i really mind going from 10 minutes to 5 minutes repairing the engine of a damaged car, if you dont, i dont really know what's your problem. there would definively be people like you that wouldnt give a fuck about being killed and would just go around doing shit, but that ones would never get a real weapon and would eventually quit and go to some noob server. The point is that serious players would think twice before exposing themselves, as it would screw his gameplay.

a group, with two cars, can have 4 cars in much less time, then 8, then 32, as you will only need one person per car to get another. lone wolves will only use 1 car at a time, only groups will need more than that. But well, if you think that will really help lone wolves, let's wait if they put it into standalone, just dont whine when you dont find ANY car on the entire map cause the groups already hoarded all of them in two days.

what about, you know, HEARING the sounds? it's not that hard. casings on the ground would make the game have uber lags. -
The point is that the feature adds nothing to the game other than just make hoarding easier. Cars dont get stuck on dirt in dayZ, they dont have inoperable engines, if the engine breaks, the car explode, there's just no utility in it than facilitate hoarding, that's the point. It's like adding a minigun to the helicopters, would only make the clans/bigger groups lifes easier and make the new players gameplay harder, even impossible when it comes to getting a car.

well, you're the one provoking me with matters of other topics, not me. If you had to play 200 hours to find a damn car, why you want to make hoarding more viable? there's just no logic there dude. It would make everyone's life harder on the game just for the sake of bigger groups hoarding the vehicles.

i dont see where the insult is, the fact is that a RPG isnt a game that have classes and that's it, the concept goes much further than that. If you cant think of a RPG outside of the "classes, leveling, atributes" thing, it's not my fault, you just need to learn about the concept. In the original RPG games, there's nothing you cant do if there's no rule prohibiting it, the master creates the rules, the players obey it and play like it's supposed to. In dayZ there's no classes, there's no fixed story, you make your own, there's no rule on the RPG table, that's what makes the game what it is. There you can play the role you want, there's no rule that tells you that you cant. Open your mind a bit, all i see in your posts is "nurr getting better by doing thing is wronk cuz dayZ is no RPG, and RPG is bad, burr".

the easiest thing in the game is figuring out where you are, you just need to use your brain for a bit and do a little observation, take some references. GPS should be removed, as they wouldnt work, cause, you know, all the surveillance sattelite network will be offline with the appocalipse.

yeah, i bet you play in some 1k cars server and shit, when you actually can get more than one car without spending a week searching for one. No one in its right mind will store gear in cars, as the first thing someone will shot before hitting you, is your car, and you know, it blows up easily, even more easy after the last update. There's just no point in making a car able to carry another car.

why would player have more than one car? In Wasteland there's real need for it, as you can sell the vehicle, put it at your base, etc. But on dayZ it will only lead to hoarding, NOTHING more.

DayZ "Hey, I'm mike, I'm playing as BANDIT, sniper" "Hey, I'm pete, I'm playing as HERO, medic" "hey, i'm josh, i'm playing as a SURVIVOR, no specialization" there's no difference dude, you're just too narrow minded to admit it cause all games that people "call" RPG have these cliches of mage, warrior, whatever. Go learn about role playing, for god's sake.

but that's the point dude, at the start you're pretty bad at all things, i mean, when using a bandage you can get an infecton, or even dont stop the bleeding. When fixing a car's engine, you should take like 10 minutes, having a chance of making the car run slower when repaired, or even explode the car when repairing, knocking the player out, you could find a schematics on industrial buildings, that would be added to toolbelt and would reduce the chance of blowing the car, for example, cause you would learn the basics of what you cant do while repairing it. My point isnt making the game easier, actually i want it to be exactly the opposite. Without mention that noob players wouldnt be good at sniping nor killing people, and when they get better on it, i dont think they'll risk picking a fight knowing that they can die and lose all the progress they made.

by clans i mean large groups too, 3~4 people could hoard a dozen of vehicles if they want to. There's no point in favoring who already have a car, to get more cars.

we're not talking about 'point system', classes or anything here dude, for fucking sake, we're talking about getting practice in things you do, just like in real life, THAT'S REALISM, DAMN, YOU LEARN BY DOING THINGS. Unrealistic is a random civillian dude who washes in shore and can change a car's engine, shoot a sniper like a recon marine and runs like a marathon runner. did you even read the last pages?
