  1. cut the numbr of barracks to half of what it is now, spread them from zeleno to berezino, passing throug msta, dolina, mogilevka, etc. Stary should have a hospital at least, so it wouldnt be so useless as it is now.

    hunting rifles are made and zeroed usually to a 200~300m max, as this is the maximum range that you'll have any reasonable chance to hit an animal. And dont even come with these "durr 800m efective range" comments, this is the range that the bullet will remain stable, beyond this it will be mostly unpredictable, but it doesnt ever mean that every .308 weapon is reliable at 800m range, even 500m is a difficult range to get a hit with usual weapons. And for people thinking that hitting a human target beyond 300m is easy... I think you're confusing meters with yards (fucking murrica units), 300 meters is a fairly long range to weapons that arent made for a pinpoint accuracy like that gun nuts editions that you're used to see on america. 'real world' weapons have been through some weather, corrosion, usage and factors like that. Accuracy should be quite bad. Remember, you wont find shiny brand new remington r700 rifles 1~2 years after an apocalipse. There should be scoped rifles in game, but they shouldnt be that reliable, as they would be fairly beaten up by the time you get them. And of course the devs should really consider implementing ACE physics on ballistics/windage, that should give a good bucket full of real world on these 1337 5n143rs that dayz is full of. At last, to all these american people, YOU'RE MOST LIKELY THE ONLY COUNTRY THAT GUNS ARE WIDE AVAILABLE, just deal with it, guns arent that common on other places like south america, europe and so. So NO M16/M4/M14/other american weapons on dayz, FFS.

    well, i shot FALs, M92s, even m16s at night in my military service, and there's no considerable muzzle flash, nothing even close to the ones we see in arma. But obviously it deppends on what ammo you're shooting, hotter ammos tend to have bigger muzzle flashes, but it shouldnt be noticeable.

    Belgium, german and british weapons should be Much more common on europe than all of this erican bullshit. Jeez, i never ever saw an ar15 irl, but i saw some dozens of FALs, berettas and even aks here where i live (brazil), considering that they should be much more rare on another freaking continent, they arent plausible at all.

    patrols usually carry one mag on the weapon and 1 or maximum 2 spare, and they would use all of that on the infected for sure. and for the weapons, you wouldnt find an entire patrol dead, you should find 1 or maybe 2 soldiers dead, then let's say, 2km after that, you find three more, 1 that was being carried by other 2, that turned and killed them both. but this should be rare as hell.

    the patrols should have mostly AKMs and AK74s, as sargeants, corporals and soldiers usually carry a standart weapon, but a LMG (like a RPK or FN MAG) and a better rifle should be found too, as there's always a support gunner (LMG) and a commander officer on a patrol (with an AK with some good attachments on, like an ACOG, supressor, a better flash hider/muzzle break that lower the recoil, etc) snipers shouldnt be found as there's no use for a sniper on a patrol.

    jesus christ, anyone knows that if you stab a person in the throat or in the upper back (on the spine) they'll die certainly, you dont need to be a navy seal, it's just obvious. Just as we know that shooting someone in the chest will mean almost certain death, that shooting someone's face will kill them for sure, it's not like a army business or something.

    re we talking about balance or realism? cause it WAY, WAY more realistic to find gun with ammunition on crash sites than in the bases, as in bases all the guns normally stay locked on a room, not thrown away in barracks. on a helicopter, the tripulation would be certainly going to a conflict where the guns would be required, or at least they would use it to defend themselves, theres no point in throwing m240's on barracks and beans on crashed helicopters.

    jesus, nobody cares about dying or getting a jam on the weapon, as soon as they respawn and find a pistol, they're going to shoot the first person that cross his path.

    i think you actually should start to shake your hands when you see someone after you already killed a person, if you kill a ton of players, you should eventually have flashbacks from the kills. we HAVE to disencourage killing, the mod turned to be the garbage that it is now because of the no-consequences to killing anyone on sight.

    the point is that as dayz is just a game, the reaction of any player who sees another, will be to kill him, cause there's no consequences for it. in real life killing somebody isnt that easy, as people arent entirely psychos. if a countermeasure to killing on sight wont be applied, standalone will have the same destiny that the mod did, with the plus that everybody is kinda tired of the standart chernarus dayz. So no one will play it, as it is now, there's mods like origins or aftermath that are way more interesting than the simple, boring deathmatch that dayz vanilla has become.

  22. with the supressor crafting system, you probably will be able to supress g17's and m9's more easily. but obviously they should accept both sd and non sd rounds, just make the suppressor degrade over time...

    just fix them so they wont beat your ass through a wall, and everything will be okay, they could do even more damage (even 3k blood per hit) if this was fixed.

    jesus dude, i'm talking about the MILITARY CATRIDGE 7.62X51MM used in MILITARY RIFLES like m14 (DMR), m24 and so. the old nagant like catridges add to the atmosphere but should be rare as heck. I'm saying that .22LR, .380, and russian common military scoped rifles should be in the game instead of all of these american bullshit. the only weapon heavier than that should be a bolt action single shot .50 like the m99, that should be rare as fuck and the ammunition even more.
