I'm sure there was a lot of death.. I learned how to use WASD somewhat efficiently [generally a console gamer] and to do basic gear interactions. Ran a lot. Weaved around trees a lot. Got lost. Many hours in managed to meet with a friend. Shot a zombie with my hatchet. Ate some beans.
I've rarely come across speak in DayZ. Some side channel chat but voice not so much. I use Skype outside of the game, so when added voices come through the game I normally mute them as it can be quite distracting/annoying if someone decides to humm or scream 'FRIENDLY' every so often.
I like this roll purely for vaulting over fences quicker.. Too many times I have been chased by zombies only to be greeted by a fence that my character likes to almost stop completely to step over. In real life I would dive over that wooden fence if necessary.. backpack and all..
There are moments where I think I have a handle on the game and I can survive.. .. and then I get trapped in a house with multiple zombies on my face.. as I bleed out.. I remember.. that no.. I am still a noob.
