Usually, I'll loot them just to keep for trading purposes, not really sniping. Now I play on a server that has the .50 Cals removed. I prefer smaller caliber snipers anyways. At the moment, my favorite is the M110 or the M21 EBR. And honestly, be glad it stops at the AS50...I mean, it could be worse; We could have the M109 a.k.a The Anti-Everything Gun. http://d3uwin5q170wp...o/52715_700.jpg -

What's your longest survival time?

My longest was around 105+ and I ended up dying on March 17th. Average is about 20-30 (Public and Private Hives). -
What if he's really infected and is getting us to all buy the SA just so he can re-enforce a company with profit to infect all of us with a virus? lol lame jokes I agree with this as well. I'd rather be able to get some idea of how the development is coming along, than nothing at all. :D OT: Good to know some info on the progress. Hope the dev team keeps it up and ensures that the standalone will be a great game.

Backpacks in Tents Question

This. Putting items in a backpack, then putting the pack in a vehicle or tent, the items that were inside of it will be deleted upon restart. Best thing to do is be sure to separate the items from inside the pack prior to the restart, or just wear said pack and put it back in next time you log into the server. -

The mod is definitely still worth getting, not just for the mod, but ArmA is a great game in general. SO much more to do than just playing DayZ all the time. I don't completely agree with this. I've been a lonewolf most of my DayZ career and have had a wonderful time playing. Don't get me wrong, it's great to play with friends and as a group, but being on my own was certainly not boring. -
Consolidated Weapons/Equipment suggestions

The A.C.E mod for ArmA has a lot of items and equipment I would love to see in the standalone. Mostly involving things like; trip wire flares, gas masks, phosphorus grenades, tear gas, flashbangs, etc. Not to mention, a lot of the guns in A.C.E would be great to have as well (i.e. HK16, 17, more M4/M16 varients, SCAR varients, etc.). I've been playing on a server with it's own mod that used A.C.E, and I must say, it's hella-fun. -

I liked the server until you mentioned the whole "perks" thing. Don't really like the fact people that have money can buy weapons, vehicles, etc. in a zombie survival game, which doesn't make it seem very "original" either. Other than that, seems like a great server over all. -
We are now back up! Server magically came back with the same gear we lost!

I currently have 3 Coyotes, 3 British Assault Packs, and 1 or 2 Range Finders lying around. Hit me up with a PM and I'll see what I can do.

Due to zeds being confirmed that they'll be running inside buildings, etc., I thought of the idea; Why not allow us to hide inside of wardrobes, closets, and such? As long as the zed(s) didn't see the player go inside of the spot, after a couple of seconds, they would lose interest and leave (or not). (Similar to how you hide in Amnesia?) Thoughts?

Well hey there. @ OP: I think that maybe putting tips in the loading screen would possibly be useful. Not exactly hints, and not really a tutorial. Could also tell you stuff about the game, you didn't know! -

In the areas around Prud, Stary, and NWAF is where you can find most of them. -
1. Join a random private hive 2. Get the biggest backpack you can find 3. Find a decent gun 4. Later, collect every roll of toilet paper you see 5. Fill your entire inventory with toilet paper; bag and all 6. Run around a high traffic area 7. Once you get killed, type in sad chat instantly, "Man I had such good gear :(" 8. Record reactions and enjoy the lawls
