  1. Never seen this happen before. Although, I've always destroyed any of the Mi-17s I find because of how useless they are to me (too big to keep hidden at bases, etc.). ;~;

    I've taken out players with it as well, but still, it's not that great of a weapon. You also have to remember, not everyone is good with PvP. I've seen plenty of people that are really good at surviving and thriving off the map in the most harsh conditions, but once they are involved with PvP they turn into a nervous breakdown and automatically develop Parkinson's while playing. And with the right or wrong of killing new spawns, its simple; just don't engage unless they engage you first. Killing freshly spawned players isn't a challenge at all, which shows why I don't enjoy it, because without a challenge it becomes no fun.

    As much as a bandit that I am, I won't kill fresh spawns. I just don't see any fun in it. Although, I will go out of my way to kill the people that do hunt down fresh spawns. It's a Makarov, can't really do that much...

    I want hordes just so I can use the M249 with 8 Mags that has been collecting dust in my tent. :)
  11. As long as you don't implement micro transactions or make it a PvP cluster fuck, then the server is perfectly fine in my opinion. Just listen to the community that plays your servers and see what they feel like wanting (except for what I said before).

    Ace2 Wound system in dayz

    I've been playing on a server that has ACE 2 and ACRE involved with DayZ (SOP: Hard Corps) and it adds SO much to the game. Not just the consciousness part, but I would love to see just the damage table in general be implemented. Not to mention the guns and equipment as well.

  15. I'd Hatchet Battle you, but I have no ammo for my Hatchet.
  16. I would prefer you to use/try DayZ Commander. A lot more organized specifically for DayZ. Six is more of a program to use for miscellaneous mods that you will use to play ArmA (Co-op, MSO, etc.). Just download and install DC, delete your current Namalsk folder, then reinstall with Commander. It should work afterwards.

    The Survival Operations Hard Corps server. >Has ACE installed (Adds more guns/equipment than I can think of) >Has ACRE installed >Lower loot spawn rate >Low amount of vehicles >No 3rd person, nameplates, etc. >No loadout >No .50 Cals >No NVGs >Added FOBs across the map for diversity >There's actual competition between players >Amazing community
  18. My point exactly. 40mm grenade launcher with a zeroing of 1600 meters. This isn't just over powered, its O-fucking-P.
  19. To see that it becomes balanced within the game, it wouldn't be too common. It would ofcourse have to be decided on where the player is standing, the angle of the light, where the shadows are settled, the weather, the time of day, etc. I know that Battlefield 3 has this in the game, but I noticed that it's a very often thing that isn't really balanced well. For DayZ on the other hand, it could be implemented from the variables that I had mentioned before. It could possibly also work with binoculars, but to a certain extent less than a scope. Not really 5 start material, but tell me your opinions on it.
  20. It's their server, that they paid/pay for, no reason to be telling someone what to do with something they bought themselves. If you don't like their server, just join a different one. Problem solved.

    Okay, how many shots to kill a man?

    A fully healed player has 12,000 blood. Since the AK-74 has a raw damage of 7, each bullet (depending on impact) should do at the most damage of 2,722 blood damage. Do to how ArmA works, you most likely didn't hit EVERY bullet, but the majority. It is likely they survived with no more than 5k blood and managed to escape. Word of advice; Aim for the head.
