wait or late? what if next gen consoles come?
intensity replied to whatsmynameagain's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I just don't enjoy it on the Xbox as much as I do on PC, being that it's not completely up-to-date, mod support, texture packs, etc. It's probably just me though. -

I don't think it should go out for consoles. They did that for Minecraft, and look how horrid it is on the 360. I wouldn't want something like that for DayZ, but if it is going to released on consoles sooner or later, then I would wait since the possibility of the newer versions will be coming on. -
I like it. Could spawn around the map similar to heli crash sites, except more of a low grade military spawn. I know a Taviana server I'm on, has spawned in bases with small guerrilla caches (Basic Russian weapons, food, meds, etc.) in them.

Maybe spawning in one of the houses that is located in one of the small towns on the coast would be kind of nice. Just make sure people can't spawn kill like it's Elektro all over again.

Calling All REAL Bandits & Lone Wolves

I would love to join this as soon as I can. I've always done better on my own, in my perspective. -
Would you happen to know how to actually open the map editor for the actual DayZ map? (Tutorial is okay too)

What is Your First Instinctive Reaction When Spotting a Player?
intensity replied to DemonGroover's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I actually pulled this off almost identically except instead of a blood bag, I put in a Makarov. -
I agree with this completely. I usually only equip my NVGs and Ghillie only when it becomes night time (common sense really). The server I've been on is the same in game time as my time zone. I like seeing that while it's getting dark in game, it is IRL as well. Kind of nice.

Advanced tactical weapons system
intensity replied to Derpy_Hooves (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Use it for the lulz. Off-topic; I remember playing MW2 maybe a week after it's release, started searching in ground war, matched up with a clan, and at the beginning of the match, all 8 of them fired javelins at our spawn. My sides hurt for an hour from laughing so hard. -

New Update Makes DayZ Extremely Difficult
intensity replied to GrassyKnoll's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I'm not going into huge detail on what I agree, and disagree on (1. I'm on my phone, 2. I haven't played the new patch yet), but from what I've heard with spawn times, it's kind of ridiculous. Just remember this is a bunch of new things added to the mod. It can be very buggy for a while. -
There are Non-PVP(PVE) servers around here and there. If a new player needs a tutorial or something of the sort, they could join one of those until they get used to the game.

From what I know there are some on land? Not sure though. Either way, I wasn't referring to the tidal swamps , but more to the ones (if any) on land. Sorry if there was a confusion lol.

Saying that CoD is better than DayZ is definitely not a fact. That is an opinion. If you mean by it selling more copies, than sure, it's a fact, but keep in mind that you don't spend money on DayZ, only ArmA. The reference of DayZ having a CoD feel to it is the amount of KOS that happens. IMO, I think it has died down than what it used to be. Not trying to be hostile, just trying to correct some things lol.

Since I found out that the M40A3 was going to be released in the newest update, I want to ask a few questions: How's the spawn rate compared to another weapon? (e.g: Is it close to a M24, DMR, etc.) And what ammo would it take? ^ I'm guessing it's M24 rounds but I'm not sure.

Nice find! Can't wait to be able to play and find one for myself.

Problem with this is that people will just blow up spare helicopters(or of they decide not to use it) and loot it. It would end up making them too scarce than they already are. Plus, server restarts can sometimes respawn vehicles where they were destroyed, which causes a lot of people camping a heli, blowing it up, etc.
-
The newest update did state that there is a possibility to get sick from using a blood bag. It would be kind of nice to give myself a transfusion, instead of having to carry two cows worth of meat around just to get my blood back for whatever reason.

A tide for a swamp doesn't seem very likely, although the weather could affect it.

Sounds like the admin was butthurt because you stole his DMR, the hacker banned you, or something along those lines. Just try contacting the admin(s) and see what went down, and resolve it if possible.

Just need to be smart, stealthy, and tactical. I never shoot my primary unless I definitely have to. Zombies aren't really that big of a problem as long as you're patient and know what you're doing. Makes it harder, which in my opinion, I like it being more difficult so I feel more accomplished at the end of the day.

So it's the same exact magazines?

I'm just probably going to say the same thing as everyone else has, but from what I've read, you just need to spend more time playing. Some stuff in the game is unavoidable, but by playing and practicing more often you tend to get used to it and find a way to make it better/useful. Off topic; I remember playing for my very first time. I had some how put my head-bobbing on the max on accident, and thought there was an earthquake going on as I ran from zeds. Gold bricks were shat.
