I really like Taviana. Not because of the vehicles, but the more modern cities and everything. If somebody would make adjustments to it so it looks more zombie apocalyptic, then I would be in love. -

Personally, I don't mind the AMRs that bad, but I would rather have some rifles that are similar to the M24 (Maybe a little better), but not like an AS50. At the same time, I find myself using the M107 a majority of my recon play time because of it's power, range, and scope. Even if it is a dinner bell.

Another thing: Instead of the scroll menu, you could use a button or a combination of controls for the doors, and etc.

loosing any new items within tents

This has been happening to me since the beginning of 1.7.4. One of my old servers had a tent on it that would constantly generate the same items in that tent after every restart. I had an SVD, M136 (No ammo sadly), CCO SD, about 4 M9SD mags, 6+ SD Stanags, and etc. Before I realized this, I was going to move bases, so I had put all these items in my URAL before a restart. Once I came back on to double check that tent, I noticed, everything taken out of it, was spawned inside of it again. I literally DOUBLED anything that was in that tent when the glitch happened. Anything that is put into it, after the restart it gets deleted. I think it's at random, so I don't know how it happened either. TL;DR Glitch caused me to have more SVDs + mags than I could get in a months worth of time. -
My controls for playing was left click, and drag to open the doors, but sense DayZ is an FPS, I don't think left click would necessarily work unless it was a combination of another key and left click.

In my opinion, I don't think there really needs to be any "heavy" weaponry in a game like DayZ. Chernarus doesn't seem like the place to have mortars chillin' in the barracks, especially during a zombie apocalypse.

This is kind of how I would like for it to work. Just not sure on how the opening of the door could be set into the controls for DayZ.

The players model would still be there ofcourse. They could shoot, but only with their secondary.

Maybe it could require you to pull out your side arm and can only shoot it (instead of your primary) while inside.

I was imagining of the situation; finding incendiary rounds for an M16 ACOG, you noticed a random survivor around 300m away, hit him with one shot, and he just bursts into flames, spamming "WTF" in side chat.

Maybe if you hold still enough they won't notice you're there...

Possibly make the current player in the spot, have to hold their gun upwards, until the door is opened?

I agree with this completely. 85% of the time, I play as a lone wolf, and I don't want to be gimped. Makes it more challenging.

An idea to add: There could be two different types of radios. Civilian (Walkie-Talkies): Has a 300 meter radius to pick up signal, but begins to pick up static at 250 meters. Military: Has a 500 meter radius, picks up static at 400 meters. Both will work with each other (e.g. if someone has a civi radio, you can hear them through the military radio, and vice-versa).

I lol'd. But in all honesty, I really wish we could do this. -
I myself, would rather have to use an in-game radio instead of using Skype, Teamspeak, etc. Adds to the realism for sure, and means you need to be more careful about how you play while talking through the comms.
