after having a conversation with a friend, I have come to the conclusion that I can never take SA serious to me, Standalone is the same as it was in pre-alpha, with running around taking off random articles of clothing then trying to do sexual acts to eachother *couch* Mayu and Delta *couch* The mod was where all the fun was at, where most of us started playing and loved the game. It sucks that most people moved to Epoop, but that also makes it just as sweet when you kill them when they are traveling to their precious god mode Trade zone.

what Dayz really needs Is Proper Audio production, with Proper SFX ques (....that actually work) When I think Of a horror atmosphere, I think of a Sound design focused on Low end sounds, low winds brushing through the tree's making a low eerie sound, When I'm walking along hearing more features when going across different terrains (edited to sound more surreal with focus on 60-180 Hz Boost's and Sonic texture in that region) When I see a zombie, I want to hear grunts when they don't see you.. not squeals and when they do spot you, I want to hear an almost deathly cry, not the sound of someone having an orgasm while kicking their little toe on a table In towns and city's I want to hear the sounds of paper and rubbish scraping the ground as its being picked up by the wind, or rustles from zombies walking about (not just standing still like they do...) When It rains, I want to hear the sound of rain hitting metal roofs, of it running along the ground, and the sounds of puddles as you're running/walking through the place, With the slops of mud when your on grass making it sound like your being sucked into the mud almost. (and it would be nice for the rain to look a bit more like A2/A3 rain with Post prossesing, Instead if it all being a big Blur of nothing that makes you turn it off) And what would be nice, is a Good soundtrack to convey all this playing a Typical Horror/misery/Dread track, With a slow theme with harmonics that sound like a cross between a funeral and Stravinksy's The Rite of spring, Like how TellTale game's TWD Soundtrack was, Or something Similar to Joyeux Noel's Soundtrack in the opening War Scene (where its conveying emotions of misery and dread) Not to mention the Terrible sounds of the guns, sounding more like a BB gun compared to an actual weapon. I know many guns do sound high pitched, but This game is all about a zombie/infected apocalypse, where people turn on each other.. the sound design really needs to be reflected on this. not just a Carbon copy of ToH and A2-3..... When I Shoot a gun, I want to hear low end Coming from the gun, almost flooding my speakers, I want to hear Early Reflections of the sound bouncing of walls and objects and returning to me. And from a Distance I want to hear All the low end sounds, with it getting lower the further out it is.... just like how sound properties actually are... If the engine cannot do all this stuff, I dont see any reason why this isnt a Cause to edit it more, Expecally with Videos of Physics being added Why Limit the scope and depth on the game because it might take some extra work? Of course, this is just the audio, there are still a heap of things for the Visual that could be added, (mainly a fix on the terrible Post processing that no one that plays the game properly actually uses) But all this can be for naught, you can have a good sound design, and a strong backing of visual effects and textures But it all adds up to jack when the zombie you have been hearing for the past few minutes is standing still, then decides to walk through the floors and walls to try and hit you, and you cant do anything about it because you cannot get your weapon equiped, and when you do you can hit it due to the melee swings

First I login to Dayz after Many a Month of not playing, To find myself in the woods Inside a Tree.. Apparently I was doing some Tree Hugging on my last Visit To Chenarus After a Few Minuites Of getting my Bearings I Realise Where I am....... The ass end of nowhere I start heading down south towards Elektro to meet up with the Others, While experiencing Alot of rubber banding and Red-Chain, Mainly due to an Amazing Australian internet Connection (with a massive speed of 350KB/s) On the Way down I find Some Clothing to put on myself I was naked at the Time.....And Although Steak would have preferred there to be a No clothes rule, I have to many Violations for streaking naked, Running around the coast looking for bambies to Feed Rotten Fruit to When I make my way down there I see Two of them, and find out steak is AFK in a Building, So I do what anyone would do... Mug him and steal his backpack and food Like the Good school Bully that I am After Steak comes back from his Time of Solitude with His Majestic Alcoholic Beverage, He realises what I have done, But Since Its me He is used to it When we all meet up in the middle of the street Zombies decide to come and Tell us About their Lord, Zombie Jesus While everyone's Politely saying "no thank you" to these Monstrosities with their 'Boom Sticks' I use this time to Use the Handcuffs I stole off Steaks Body and handcuffed one party member who had a Bitchin' Cowboy hat. Nothing beats that. After realising our new Calling, we start heading around to check out Tent City, as We didn't know at the time that Rocket Raided Tent City and Stripped it of its Awesome Loot , Jks Lets blame Matt.. its always his fault!! (either Lightfoot Or Kichi.... Both are quite tempting) While Trying to recover from our Devastation we meet up with Baron.. And Realise that myself and steak (mostly Myself..) Forgot to Pack Our Bento's Before we left, and I was Starving without any food, So once again I do what any Normal person would do........ Punch steak in the head until he is Knocked out, then steal his food. Enderian and Baron gave me some more food to help with the hunger, since Steaks food I stole wasn't quite filling Although its like I had a Never-ending hunger, like I was one of those Cursed Skeletor's from Pirates of the Carrabian So to take my annoyance out on my hunger, I did what most people would do..try to Force Drink Steak Alcohol tincture, However Due to the Action Menu, I accidentally Drank it myself...... Twice I was a very sick indeed But while I was sick, we decided to head East to check out Guba and its developments, On the way I snuck up behind steak and Used him as Target practice..For my fists, While he was lying there unconscious, I realised he had some good pants, So I decided to steal them from his body.... little did I know I Had on my legs, Harry Potters Accompany to his Cloak, his invisible Pants No idea how steak Got them off Harry however. Further along the journey We Met up with Hammyhamm, and the Sickness became much more Severe and my vision was more black and white than a 1900's Silent Film, So They started searching for food to try and keep my regen up so I wont die In the meantime Baron went afk to go and get a smoke, So We decided to move Barons Body to make a 'Fern Baron' While he was still Away, Steak decided to come up with a great prank, where we all spread out around baron, and Wait for him to Come back to the computer... Apon Which time we would start Spraying our weapons in a Direction Screaming over Mic where the Evil Enemies were, Baron's reaction was priceless.. When we got to the next station my Guy couldn't take it anymore, and decide to go have a lay down, due do loss of blood from my Recent Beverage But While I was Resting, they found Bountiful amounts of food, To save my life from the Terror That I accidentally Put onto myself.... Although after being feed so much from everyones care, I ended up.... being overfull, Happy happy Joy Joy!, and We decided that since I had all this food inside my empty pit, that the next best place to go to would be Berizino Hospital for medical Supplies since I decided to go all Star and make the trip more.... Enjoyable Eventually the Sickness Went away on its own however, thanks to our lord Zombie jesus. we ended up at the Supermarket, Where Steak, Hammyham and PBNJ had a Heated Discussion on some Subjects.. Then out of nowhere Cale came and suprised us, Along with klesh Logging in. This was the end of our joruney however, Steak Became more indoxicated, Klesh and Enderine Decided to call it a night, And My Internet was having a Spaz attack. Although While I net was Spazing out many more joined in So this was the end of our journey.. I'm surpised my Team didnt kill me for things I did.. to try and kill them

Its literally a carbon copy of BI's Take On Helicoptors Engine, Which is a mix of A2 and A3 systems they then added most things from A3 into the mix and then added their own custom things so in aspect, its a game engine mod, of a game engine mod of a combination of Arma Engines

look on the horizon for things to come from the original mod for me I'm not touching SA for several months last time I played there were still bugs present that were there many months before the game was released (granted they are hard to fix bugs) I'll play it when the game has more of a life to it. You can still find decent vanilla servers with high pop around, brings back memories of the good days, before epoch and all that "1000+ vehicle 250 barracks at Balota" shit
