Thank god. My antics as the loincloth clad spear wielding forest-man can be fully realized. P.S Add loincloths.

Just died to a teleporting hacker, haha.

The mentality is that they have little to no power in their daily lives, so they take it out in videogames where they have faux control. -
After Joining Three Full 64/64 Man Servers I was Shocked To Find
Daemonkid replied to leefriendfield's topic in General Discussion
I've been in 3 fights on the airfield. 1st time, with my freshly aquired LRS from Kabinino military base, me and a buddy approached the AF, and I scouted. Saw 2 dudes on the top of the fire station. Kill them both. 2nd time, my buddy was on the AF I was providing overwatch, saw some dude on the strip, missed 3 times, had to reload, saw him go into the control tower, contacted my buddy (VIA WALKIE TALKIE! Had 2 at the time) And my friend got him. 3 time me and my friend were scouting the area, and we go up behind the firestation, I watch the back door for a second, whole building in view. A dude spawns on the ladder (using the inside glitch where you can get on the ladder from the inside of the FS) took a few shots and the poor guy was dead. -
After Joining Three Full 64/64 Man Servers I was Shocked To Find

Lmao. The reason to go to NWAF IS because it's untouched. I get all dem sexy lewts and the place is practically untouched, more chance of finding what i'm lookin' for. -
Actually, there isn't enough clothes. We're at bare minimum here, more clothing more people look different. Which is more customisation, more people looking around for elusive clothing spawns, so more interactions.

Regular or Hardcore? There's no difference!

Your sig says adapt or die. I'm going to say adapt or die. ;P But yes, it's a little unintuitive atm, but it's still 10x better than 3rd pp. Just gotta get a little more creative with positioning and the likes. In regards to the weapon drawn thing, a quick look down while sprinting to check if you have the rifle in hand works. (Or hit the inv screen) The fists will always be raised up to near the center of your cursor when you press it. Just take a second for the anim to actually finish, then sprint, dont just tap then sprint. That's not even enough time to bring them up. -
Low end weaponry such as shot guns, nuggets ect are all fine as long as they are uncommon. Military grade weapons should almost always be spawned in damaged or completely fucked.(And in my opinion a whole weapon maintaining mechanic besides just using a cleaning kit) Melee should be improved, and the baseline. Getting a good gun should be a prize, and makes you stand above the rest of the plebeian fresh spawns with their improvised spears and firefighters axes. In regards to military bases. Weapons should have a low chance of spawning in the barracks, along with corresponding ammo and magazines but mostly soldier clothing and misc soldier items but moderate chance for low end attachments.. The brigs (Jail) should have a moderate chance for a weapon with some ammo and low end attachments but mostly clothing and misc items. Control tower should have moderate chance to spawn weapons, but no ammo. There should be a new building spawn point that is an armoury, that is locked every restart. It should require different tools to break into it, but very dangerous to do so. But make it so it ONLY spawns weapons and ammo along with attachments.

I don't think so, my friend went fists up while I was sprinting (Normal sprint) today, he was running faster than me. :(

Server admin restart after getting killed
Daemonkid replied to dat_moosey's topic in General Discussion
Make it so once the restart button is pressed it does a countdown of 3 mins and at the end of the count down the server restarts. Prevents admins from getting their stuff back via cheating. -
I hope vehicles will be rare - A video I made so you can compare
Daemonkid replied to res's topic in General Discussion
Have you seen how many military bases, personal fuel tanks, gas stations there are in Chernarus? Seems to me like there isn't a shortage of fuel anywhere, pre-apocalypse. We're also playing in a small part of the overall country of Chernarus, which means we're in what seems to be the rural part, with a significant military presence. When the apocalypse hit, obviously fuel would be scarce, but not in the way you're making it out to be. Chernarus isn't a poor African country. It's a medicore ex-soviet bloc. It's obviously a bit westernised and to add to the fact, Takistan in the Armaverse is a stone's throw away. Which has major oil reserves. You're grasping at straws. People want vehicles in game, and we WANT fuel to be a limited resource. Just because cars don't fit into YOUR view of the game doesn't mean there shouldn't be any. Hell, ethanol can be used as an alternative for straight gasoline. But the point stands, there is plently of fuel in Chernarus. -
Weapons are situational. Your M4 may be a superior weapon platform. But ingame, i'm going to see you before you see me and at a range you won't be able to land shots accurately. Nugget all the way baby.

Daemonkid replied to res's topic in General Discussion
Lmao. The map is to small for vehicles? The only reason it feels small is because of the increased running speed. That's it. Why would there be no cars? Did all the cars suddenly disappear from Chernarus? Was it a carpocolypse? Did the zombies eat the cars? Of course there is going to be vehicles. Vehicles will also serve as storage, and when base building is added, will pretty much be the only way to transport otherwise heavy materials across the map. Are you telling me you want to lug a stack of 2x4's across the map to where you want to build your base? They'll also be used for transporting large groups, picking up you buddies, hell, even helping strangers with a ride if you're willing to risk it. ( I used to run a taxi service in the mod, fare was based on distance and ammo/med supplies were currency for me.) You logic makes no sense Wheunis. -
A few small, easy to implement suggestions from a newer player :)
Daemonkid replied to raiderlove86's topic in Suggestions
Nah man. You'll enjoy the game a lot more if you play it like a true freshie. I remember my first day in dayz. It was so great not knowing a thing. Running around scavenging, dying. When you learn the game first hand it's so rewarding because YOU learned it all, you put in the time and effort to improve. The transition from freshie to veteran will feel so great, trust me. Just keep at it and you'll become a grizzled survivor in no time. -
How much authenticity is too much?

A solid bullet that hasn't fragmented, sure. But if a bullet fragments inside you, you're going to need to remove that shrapnel. -
The ballistic helm is big and bulky, it's easy to spot. It affords very little protection against any decent fire arm. I've tested it with a buddy before and a single shot from a revolver at 15 meters iced me and the helm. It offers no noticeable benefit than a motorcycle helm. (Other than it CAN protect against a .45 but if I see you with a ballistic, i'm just going to pump a mag into your chest) It's quite frankly garbage. Prefer to roll with my baseball cap, looks cooler, and reduces my silhouette.

This is not your standard FPS. I'm for anything that makes survival more intense, even if it's a bit tedious to your average person. I play it for the survival and right now there is not much survival mechanics at the moment. Waiting on the deep medical system. Diseases and all that. I want to fight to stay alive against all odds. Not just fight against people with guns. -
Because it's all still a work in progress and other assets are completed before the zombies so they released those items. It takes like 3 seconds to implement those things ingame. Zombies are still a work in progress. Jesus, it's like you know nothing of game development.

The fun in that is my guy is a grizzled veteran of the Chernarus wasteland. I've been through so much, why would I want to just respawn? I've been cut, burned, shot, bludgeoned, survived cholera, bitten. Survived infected wounds. That holds so much appeal to me. I wouldn't dare force a respawn. My character is a fking badass if I manage to survive all that. It's not something I would let go of willingly. -

Need more combat realism, because that will go hand in hand with a good medical system. I want, no I NEED a good medical system. With suturing, pain management, all the good stuff. Dying should be a long drawn out affair. I want to claw my way from a near death experience back to a reasonable level of health. I want to fight for my life damnit! -
And they'll be on the test servers first. But regardless it's going live to test on the general populace to stress test it even further. Whether you like it or not. "Broken" or not, this respawning/more zombies isn't even a thing you should be complaining about. It's a good thing. As I said, right now, you have zero idea how it's going to play out. You're pre-emptively complaining. When it goes live and all manner of issues arise from it, you can complain about it then. Right now, it just isn't proper.
-
What part of "TESTING" do you not understand? We can't test more zombies if they don't add more zombies. Even when they add more zombies they're still such an insignificant threat as is it won't make a difference. But since they're "broken" to you, we shouldn't test the respawn, or how the server will handle the extra load of more zombies? You're just bitching about something that doesn't even matter.

How to zero in with mosin when bolting takes eye off target?
Daemonkid replied to Highlander007's topic in General Discussion
There is a suggestion forum. This is general. Wrong place guy. -
You're not providing feedback though. You're complaining about something that hasn't even been introduced yet. How; pray tell do we even test how the servers will do with more zombies, even with their bugginess (If you ever played the mod, these buggy zombies ARE FUCKING NOTHING)or the respawning mechanic if we don't bring it out to the general populace to consume and test. Bitch when there are more zombies when issues can be brought to light. Don't pre-emptively bitch. It does no good.

You're not doing yourself any favours either. -
That's why I play with me and 2 other friends. Most of the time it's just me and one other buddy. Reduces confusion, allows us to coordinate effectively, gives me a spotter, less people to share loot with. No side conversations in chat, and an extra pair of eyes I can trust. Random's suck, avoid playing with random's.
