    Looks to be a Pershing turret/gun and a Sherman Chassis. It's kind of beautiful. Minus all the garish things they put on it.

    Half Correct. The term tank came about because the people working on them thought they were going to be building WATER TANKS.

    Indeed, the original mod yes. But Origins and others implemented a lot of weapon variety. Regarding the priority, Russian and eastern bloc weapons should be implemented first, the RPD, Saiga, and some old school stuff. We still don't have the makrov, a mod staple.

    Oh my, and you're the one calling me a rock. A harder difficulty doesn't reduce variety, it creates it because you need to make a concious decision about your ever action because if you fuck up, you die.

    Go click your player profile, manage ignore prefs. "Okay, play a ridiculously easy game. Say, L4D2 on its easiest difficulty. You won't be trying too hard, will you? Then, play L4D2 on Expert mode with Realism Versus in place. You'll play much differently. And that is my point." And my point is any different? Gameis supposed to be hard. That's the default setting. Due to the challenge, players will need to adapt to each situation and therefore there is no such thing as playstyle. because each encounter, each event requires you to think about the consequences of your actions. What part of thatdo you not get?

    LEWL. I said military. I never said you were not good fighters. Learn the difference. You've had shit military for years. That comes down to experienced leaders and commanders. You have had a great lack of them in the World Wars. The invasion of Greece, pisspoor logistics in Africa during WW2 and many other military failures during those wars. Bad Military=/=Bad Fighters.

If italy is correct, you guys never really had a good Military ever.. 25 March 2003 – A friendly fire ("blue-on-blue") incident in Basra in which one Challenger 2 of the Black Watch Battlegroup (2nd Royal Tank Regiment) mistakenly engaged another Challenger 2 of the Queen's Royal Lancers after detecting what was believed to be an enemy flanking manoeuvre on thermal equipment. The British main battle tank. It all comes down to crew skill, active avoidance systems and advanced armour and active defense counter measures. You can knock out tanks, but it's really really hard to kill them. They are still an important part of a combined arms system.

    Yep. Pretty much it. This game was never supposed to be easy, you can even go back and read some prior statements by rocket. This game is supposed to be like the "Road" and many other post apocalyptic style adventures. Playstyle has NOTHING TO DO WITH DIFFICULTY. What do you not get about that? If anything difficulty forces you to make decisions you may not want to make but have to so you can live. You want to be a fucking hero? Be a hero, but the game itself is going to be difficult. Playstyles don't effect the difficulty, difficulty effects playstyles, in a good way. Forces decisions you'll have to make.

    From a lot of the information I have gathered. They are taking the game in the complete wrong direction. It's sickening. They want to omit certain weapons because they're "Functionally the same." ......... where's the god damn variety? They want to stream line the game, and they're going to make it "accessible" for people.. No. No. No. DayZ should never be a game that's "accessible" I want to work, struggle and be challenged to achieve my goals ingame, not handed to me on a silver plate and congratulating me on how awesome I am.

    All I read was "The point of it is to cater to every style" and lost it. There shouldn't be catering, to anything. That's the FUCKING PROBLEM. It's supposed to be brutally hard. You should be dying and learning from your mistakes over and over again. DayZ has no fucking difficulty right now. That's the problem. The game is nothing right now. It's CoD Chernarus Zombie infestation. "The funniest thing is that DayZ is completely unique as a survival-horror, and you still say it is niche and watered down. Please name one game that does what DayZ does, but better." The mod does. The mod is actually fun and challenging. No place is safe, zombies take a decent amount of damage, they can be stealthed passed. The mod was and still IS great. And your cop-out statement that i'm just hating on different playstyles is so left field I can't even. Difficulty has nothing to do with playstyle, if anything it changes how the fuck you're going to react. There should be no playstyles other than action-reaction.

    Your opinion is not valid. DayZ is supposed to be an anti-game. True fans of DayZ enjoy the difficulty. The fun IS in the challenge. People like you with your awful opinions should have absolutely no say. The game is supposed to be difficult and not cater to people who want it easy, such as yourself. Your opinion and other like minded people are why I wish DayZ was never as commercially successful as it was. It was a niche product that got mainstream and because of that, we get a watered down product. Good day sir, you're the type of person who has caused DayZ to become bland.

    Pierce=/=Destruction. Tanks are intimidating against infantry, regardless of the weapons they are using. Tanks are still a viable and IMPORTANT combat role in a warzone. They are basically the cavalry for the infantry. A tank is a solid defensive and offensive weapon, it fills many roles. It's people like you who think tanks are obsolete when in reality they're not. They are one of our most important weapon platforms to date and we need to continue advancing research with them.

    Not possible on the engine unless you want to be locked into an animation where you can't break out of it if say; someone started shooting at you.

    You're joking right? Tanks are still incredibly viable weapon platforms for standard warfare AND useful as a deterrent from hostile infantry. Just because they're vulnerable in urban combat doesn't diminish their effectiveness. Tanks are fucking intimidating.

    All I read here was "I'm ignoring the entire post to be an alpha dick" He's saying how HE WANTS TO SEE THE COMPLETED GAME. At this point in time, i'm sick of people like you when someone mentions something about the future and the way DayZ is progressing. I don't mean towards completion, I mean how it will play and feel. From a lot of posts from the developers that i've seen, their turning DayZ into something it was never supposed to be. It's supposed to be a harsh, unforgiving survival game. Right now, i'm pretty sure we've tested just about everything they have to offer at the moment. Bugs will still turn up, yes but we're talking about the future of the gameplay. They could turn down the ammo spawns now, do we really need players with 600+ m4 ammo, and mags on mags? We've got plenty of testing done relating the items ingame at this point in time, the spawns CAN be lowered right now to make the game more difficult. I've even seen talk that they are not going to add in LOTS of weapons like the mod, because their "Functionally the same" it doesn't seem like we're going to have loot saturation like the mod where there was plenty of weapons to choose from, but your ammo for that weapons could be very hard to find. Talking about the direction the game is going and you alpha criers make me sad. DayZ had a good thing going, now their butchering their own product. God damn.

    Omfg. Did he really say that? What kind of shit are they doing over there at Bohemia to my precious DayZ?! The great thing about the mod was finding different weapons. No one wants to be running around with the same carbon copy weapons all the time. Availability also dictated which weapon you would use, but a lot of people had their favorites based on the weapons visual appearance, even if functionally identical to the next weapon. This saddens the fuck out of me, and pisses me off at the same time. The lazy sodding bastard.

    On the topic on Neo scavenger. It's super fking easy to find food if you chose botany. I mean like, it's the most important skill in that game, I don't know why anyone chooses hunting skill over botany. Botany is fking life saving. Berries and mushrooms a plently. Allways have a huge stockpile of em' sucks they only stack to like 5. Limits my berry bag. :/ But yes, I want DayZ to be brutal, where one fuck up will set you back to rock bottom. Starving, thirsty and naked. I should be struggling dodging and evading zombies trying to find something, anything to defend myself with and clothe myself.
