  1. I've gotten to the place where I much more enjoy gaming with a smaller group rather then a larger clan. Rather server hop with some buddies then try and seed a server of a clan. I've stopped playing DayZ until the stand alone comes out, but in the meantime I'll be playing BF4. So if there's any tight knit group of friends that jump on a play regularly on PC and are looking for an extra then PM me. Prefer 18+ and North American for ping's sake. Cheers!

    Bandit Questions

    Every gun is affective. My personal favorite is the silenced M4A1. As for luring I wouldn't know, I don't like to grief or troll people for no reason. I just KoS for gear as I play and survive.

    Could be bad drivers or a bad patch for the game. Make sure you have your latest card drivers, and then try rolling back the DayZ patch and see if that helps. How many servers did you try?

    Right, that also gives the methodical players a choice. Go into the city or town and take what you can while there are minimal players around. Or take your chances and go to the crash site and risk your life for the potential military grade loot.

    Also, assuming that they take the underwater expirience that will be in Arma III and implement it in DayZ. What if there was things within the Sea that you could loot. For those that didn't see the Arma III gameplay, you can dive in the ocean. So say a ship/boat gets shot in the water and eventually sinks, what if a player could swim or boat to that location and dive for the loot. Or old ship wrecks with rare and key items that wern't affected by the "infection" and preserved by the sea. They could scatter the necessary items for an oxygen tank around the world, or just have a set timer for how long you can hold your breathe. It would add a new dynamic to the game.

    They need to spawn zombies inside some of the bedroom's of houses. So people don't just run into a house and ransack the shit out of it with ease. There needs to be some sort of threat within the buildings to.

    I like that idea, they could do a lot of awesome stuff with scripted events. However, the issue I see with it is that the game is a "MMO". If it were singple player it would be easy to implement something like that. But I'm no Dev, and I have no clue if it's possible or not, I'm only going by my understandings.
  9. I'm sure the Standalone will correct a lot of this. If I'm not mistaken they got a dev kit for Arma III and were allowed to take things from Arma III and implement them in the SA.

    Are there any other computers running in your house on the same I.P.? Do you have anything running in the background on your computer? Do you have WiFi, and are there any devices connected to your WiFi? Or are you on WiFi? There are many things that can cause in game Ping to shoot through the roof. Could be computer hardware too, something going wrong with the patches, or drivers, it could be a lot of different things.
  11. Also, thinking about it more, the running may just need to be smoothed out. At first they run normal, and then out of no where they skip ahead 5-10 feet and are directly behind you. They need to be slow and sluggish, and then when they're onto you they need to start running. But bunny hopping and teleporting aren't very realistic zombie movements.

  13. Exactly, I assume the same. It would be a good idea if DayZ was a single player game, like Fallout in that sense. But in an "MMO" it just wouldn't work.

  18. There's always going to be two distinctive groups of players, the casual player, and the "hardcore" player. There's people who play it to fuck around and kill time, and then there is those who play it and get really into. But that's not to say that the people who play it for fun aren't hardcore players, but the definition I am using it as, the people in my eyes, who just play for fun, are the casual players of DayZ. I've been playing DayZ since day one, and have been lurking around these forums for just as long. Obviously not on an account, I've only recently started posting. But from what I gather, in the majority of the threads I have seen, and post's that I've read, the majority of players play for that "realism" feel, and get into it like that. And I never stated anything about the patch "making" you do anything. I simply said, in more or less words, that the patch puts a road block in the way that people are used to playing. And that it was a good thing for the "hardcore" players, like me, who play DayZ and get really into it. (Also, anyone who read what I said about the way the game is supposed to be played knows that I didn't mean it by a literal "Home page description" Come on, that's common sense. It doesn't take a goddamn rocket scientist to look at the history of DayZ patches and be able to tell what direction the game is headed, and what play style it pushes).

    Yes, that's another great thing. You don't have people running around anymore griefing in towns and cities just because "they can". This patch actually contributed to combating hackers and griefers.
  21. No, no, no. Ever since the patch rolled out there has been thread after thread after thread of the same whining and bitching. None of which can come up with a good reason to complain other then "It's too hard, I can't win anymore..." The only reason so far that I hear of the complaining is because people can't easily get around to loot anymore. They're mad because it actually takes time, and tactics to get anywhere now. They want it to be so easy that they can just walk right past zombies, right into a building, loot everything, and walk out like there's no tomorrow... Instead of actually methodically playing the game with survival tactics and common sense, like it's meant to be played. You only read one post of mine, out of possibly 20-30 post's of intellectual conversation and reasonable arguments. So you took the time out of your day to perform a mini psychological diagnoses on me. ...that's cute.
  22. Whoa there sparky, calm it down a notch. You don't have to re-learn jack shit, I was talking to this other guy, not you. And I was responding to his remark about being realistic for what I said about the feeling of the zombies now and the difficulty of them after. I never said a single thing about the constant respawning. I was simply referring to the cross-coms of the zombies and the increased senses that they have, that in return make them much more difficult. ...Infact I agree with the constant spawns of zombies being a bit much.

    Feb. 20th Sony is announcing the PS4. E3 2013 Microsoft is announcing the next Xbox. Dev Kits have been out for the last 8 months. PR's and Reps for both companies have confirmed both consoles long ago. There are more then 5 Companies, that I can think of off the top of my head that are currently developing for the next consoles. ...Where have you been? :P
  25. How is it not realistic. When that feeling of a refreshed zombie is gone the difficulty is still there. Just because I won't get "startled" anymore doesn't make the zombies any less difficult. I think you need to relearn was "realistic" is.
