That is so lame, and the fact you admit it... come play on a 3pp:off server.

In a very small amount, say twice as common as heli crashes. To many players just sprint from high value target to high value target. The woods should not be and irl are not always a safe place.

Too many barracks and Stary Sobor tents [appeal]

have you even played SA? The military camps and bases spawn plenty of medical loot. Besides, there is a hospital at the first one north of Kamenka and another hospital at Zele. The way the map is set up, you run "red route west" FTW Food weapons and meds all in one easy 1 hour run. -
Security Vulnerabilities fixed by Patch #2 and Character wipe

It is an alpha... they want the hackers trying to break things! It is called testing. Let the hackers do what they can now so it can get addressed. If they banned all the hackers from testing, most bugs/glitches and backdoors would get missed. I have closed alpha/beta tested with several people who where only there to try and hack/expliot. -
Mozzie Flying Practice: No Option in Editor?
lowkey replied to DoctorScandalous's topic in New Player Discussion
easiest way to test thngs in most DayZ mods is to go into lobby on a server for that mod, then disconect, but do not hit exit. Then all you need to do is type "ctrl-e" It lanches the 3d editor with that mod packopen so you can spawn anything in that mod. It does not work for Origans and I do not think it works for I44, and breakingpoint might not. But it does work for vannila, epoch, unleashed and all the other islands. I used it alot to learn new maps. -
prices can be set by admin so price different from server to server, As for plot poles, latest patch should of fixed ownership lose, atleast friend said it fixed, have not tested.

If the hummer was armed, it was also armored and you would need a .50cal to take out a tire in a single shot, just fyi
-
I would not worry to much about damage dropoff with that weapon....Max you will hit anything is a little over 350. Max zero is only 300 and with the magnification on the scope, you are not going to be able to correct for much longer shots with any accuracy.
-
Maybe he means all the 5million vehicle+++ bs you see even if you filter out unoffical servers. I hate that . During my online time it is nearly impossible to find a true vannila server with anyone on it.
-
Make sure you did not choose anything like glasses or voice in profile. I have a custume face and very few servers of any mod make me choose, I am automaticaly male.

If you do not have a map or compass, put your back to the water and run till you see high power lines. Does not matter which way you go, they all have good loot locations at both ends. One even runs you right past Stary.

hmm... so long ago. 2017 had just come out so I figured I would give it a try. Starving with nothing but a hatchet, I had to kill a poor soul in hopes he had food. he did not, and I did not even have a knife, so eating him was not an option. I died shortly there after to my own hunger.

Why do people cry so much when they presume on my mercy?
lowkey replied to Ozelot (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Diggydug... I was not ralking about spotting a sniper posted up somewhere. If someone is just standing there, not in heavy cover! If they are posted up on a roof or under a tree, then ya, I fracked up and will die if they a good shot. Electric... If it is a miricle, then miricles are very common. I see people all the time who could have killed me or me kill them before the other person knew. Then again, I stay away from the south shore and NWaf unless I have too. And my cher is over 6 months old, so yup, I guess I die alot as it is not still my first toon. -

I have to go with the OP in this, as veteran players, we have unspoken rules we live by. A perfect example happened to me just the other day. I was east of Klen hunting rabbits in the woods. Had just lined up a shot when the rabbit bolted. I knew I had not scared it, meaning another player must have. Quick scan and I spot him. A ghili player with a sniper on his back and pistol in hand. Tho I am not in cover, I feel sure he has not noticed me yet as I too am in a ghili. If I move tho, he is sure to see me. I newer player would just take the shot, call it fate, and be done with it. I did not! I kept my rifle trained on him, following his movement. I do not call out as it might startle him. As he gets closer, he finally looks right at me! Had he stopped, or tried to turn for cover, I would have to kill him. He did the smart thing, he kept running, just changing course enough to not come to close. After passing me, he looked back twice before LOS was broken. As soon as he was out of sight, I headed fast in the direction he had come from. I did not need to say anything, he knew if he did anything wrong, he would die. Anytime you see someone with a gun trained on you, and they have not shot, keep doing exactly what you were doing. Do not run toward them but do not run away. Do not speak unless spoken too. If you are moving, keep moving at the same pace. If you are stopped, do not move. Do not run for the closest cover. Those two things will get you killed. Remain calm and let them feel safe. If after a few seconds, they are not backin away or talking, then and only then, slowly move off toward a ridge or something else to break line of sight. Going for cover is a sign you are getting ready to fight. Running off trying to break LOS on the nearest object is a sign you are getting ready for a fight. -
Heli are fun targets, but elusive. Best 2 spots I can think of are... Berezino hospital= unskilled pilots will often auto-hover and drop squad on the roof. Combat pilots will do a touch and go on the road out front. And solo/2 man teams will try to park on the roof. Due south 400M out is a treeline with some nice pines to wait under with good line of fire on road and rear ladder. Factory near Polana= Most pilots scout the trees across the road as that is the place most snipers hide. When they land, they land facing south so thay can not be sniped from there. West of the factory are some trees and bushes and a stone wall. Post up there and you will have a clear shot on any pilot who tries to land or drop a squad. Have not used these for banditry myself, just squad v squad warfare, but should work just as well for your needs. Oh, and if you play on vanilla or Epoch without auto-fuel, the long barn NNW of green mountain is a popular refuel spot for heli though I have never looked to see if there are any good hides. Good luck in your Heli hunting!

Before you Kill On Sight, Try This!...
lowkey replied to The Law (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Nice idea, but I am no hero...I only help people who know how to help themselves. Not a bandit either, but I do not Judge those who have the mask. Been saved too many times by players who did! Only time I see another player and do not just melt away into the wild is if I know they are hostile. I do love sniping bandits when they are waiting to ambush people. -
Whats your Favourite weapon in dayZ Epoch, Overwatch or normal
lowkey replied to mrpower00's topic in New Player Discussion
G36..A or K version. Sure the aimpoint is a little bulky, but great for a one weapon loadout if playing on servers with the R3F weight system. The quick range referance in the scope is nice too. -
I feel your pain, seems like every time I get back to full blood, I will turn my head for 3 seconds only to have a zed spawn 5meters in front of me. I end up running right into them. What can you do, just got tto go with the flow.

In game I am LowKey..not just a name but a playstyle. I try to stay out of poeples way and just servive. I also like a little chaos now and then like 700-800m shots at someones feet to watch them panic. Amodo is my name in DnD and when playing MMORPGs but LowKey was already taken here.

Quick Tips For Starter (Submit a tip if you have one)
lowkey replied to carbine781 (DayZ)'s topic in New Player Discussion
do not worry about getting a gun...it WILL GET YOU KILLED!!! get a hatchet! Guns are only for using against players. -
depends on where exactly I spawn...example.... spawn in otmel= up the hill to Rog looting the deer stand on the way, they north for Polana hitting Msta and Dolina on the way. Hit the Factory then over the hill and into Berezino. After that it is off to NEAF. kamenka= deer stands on the way to Zele, then up to Pustoshka, Vybor and Lopatino as I circle around to the north side of NWAF. several other routes for other spawns but all include getting off the coast fast. No Elekiro or Cherno until after I am geared unless I spawn there, but those spawns tend to be short lived.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1ceXjFRht4&feature=c4-overview- check out those vids, and plan on spending lots of time in the editor practicing. P.S. there is also a mission you can get from Armaholic by same person to practice advanced flight once you have the basics down.

I think the zed spawn range needs to be changed. I know this has been talked about in other threads, but not in to much detail, or when discussing other zed aspects, so . Current: Zeds spawn at about 200m A smart player stops outside spawn range and checks for zed spawn to see if anyone is in thee town. Bandits sit outside spawn range waiting to see zeds show up so they know there is a player around. What fun is that? I have played as a bandit, and with the spawn distance what it is, I can tell you it is not hard. I have also hunted bandits, and again, not hard due to spawn distance. I would give stratigies, but I beleive the player should figure those out themselves. Suggestion: Tie spawn range into veiw range. If you can see a spawn point, the zeds should spawn. The server already knows what you can see, or you would not see zeds from any range. As to the idea that this would tie up server resources? The servers are set up to support a set number of zeds, and this would not change that. It would make the game harder for all. Bandits/snipers would have to look for players, not spawns. Survivors would never know if someone was in the town or not. There would be alot more random encounters between players outside of the 3 main cities. All said, I can not think of any downsides, so post them if you can as I would like to hear them.

there are 2 ship wreaks. one north of Berezino(a small cargo shis) and one off skalisty island(a much bigger ship).... neither has loot or is enterable, except for the deck.

If glasses, why not footwear. Running shoes to run faster, softer souls= quieter. but they wear out faster then hard soul boots. also, no ankle support so chance to sprain/break if running on uneven surface.
