My death leads to a charity case.

Lol you're an idiot. You really think you're making a huge impact and helping tons of people doing this but you're not. I also agree with Diddums, "YOLO" is for stupid people doing stupid things....those mutts....

    Reason behind your username?

I've used my pseudonym Xilstealth since I was a kid. I came up with it during the times I played C&C: Renegade all the time (I miss my childhood). Xil should be pronounced as "Exile" but others can pronounce it as "Zil" as short for Xilstealth. "Xil" came in because I like to work on my own sometimes. During middle school and high school, it was difficult to work with others who would not cooperate, however I'm am finding it better to work with others while attending university for Criminology. For the "Stealth" part, I used it for that I usually try to take my time and be stealthy in some games. It's something that I've always used and will never give up for another primary pseudonym.
  6. Here you can find out whether your desktop or laptop can run the mod, DayZ. This will be much quicker than asking for someone to review your video card, RAM and CPU to consider whether it is acceptable or not. Simply follow the instructions below: Note: Update your Java before doing this @ http://www.java.com/en/ 1) Go to http://systemrequirementslab.com/cyri 2) Search "ARMA II" (Operation Arrowhead will come up, but both ARMA II and OA share the same stats) 3) Click "Can You Run It" Note: You will be asked to install something to your programs for this to work (it allows the website to access your computer's hardware for scanning). I recommend doing the stats scan through the browser rather than installing the program to your desktop. If your computer meets minimal requirements, you may run into performance issues such as delayed response and degraded visual graphics. If you plan to the play the game, you need to go into the Video Options in ARMA II and reduce the settings so that your computer will not run hard against itself. For those who meet the recommended settings or exceed it, congratulations. If you have not purchased ARMA II yet, download Steam and create a profile. Then go to the store and download ARMA II: Combined Operations. This package includes ARMA II and ARMA II: Operation Arrowhead (both those games are required for DayZ). SURVIVE! -Xilstealth
  7. I play on a Panthera server; lots of heli crash sites, lots of loot around. Looking for a group of about four others who are experienced in playing and want to team up together. If anyone is interested in playing on a Panthera server with me then PM me and I can give the server deets, then we can skype.

The story of becoming a bandit

Thanks, Colonel Wicked. Justice was definitely hammered down.
  9. This is TL;DR material...just a heads up. When I first came onto DayZ, I immediately acquainted myself with other in-game players to formulate a survival group; In hind sight, it was a very...very...bad idea. People may tell themselves that they'll continue to be a good player (i.e - Not stealing from others, not killing others, etc), but this will change quickly. I first became a bandit from being constantly killed by others and from teaming up with others who led me to believe that we were all on the same page. This is probably the most common way someone becomes a bandit. One day, I teamed up with four people for about two weeks and we communicated our intentions over Skype. We created a base that was well thought out and well hidden, we distributed tasks somewhat fairly; it seemed to be going well. The last day I stopped being associated with them was when I was driving back from the airport with one guy, heading back to our base. A server restart came up so we stepped out of the vehicle before it did. Once it rebooted, I jumped in the car but he asked me get out for a second, I assumed he wanted an item. He immediately killed me, took all my valuables, and hid my body (hiding a body makes it and the rest of the items on the person disappear into the ground). He did it because the team supposedly took a vote to cast me off because I was annoying. The real story was that they all fought verbally over Skype when someone incidentally spoke over another while relaying objectives. The other members denied being part of the attack. I threatened them that I knew where the base was still established and that I was going to get them all. The betrayer stated; "Go ahead, I dare you. We have lots of firepower at the base", and he wasn't lying. They did have lots of military weapons at the base I helped get. Once I arrived there, all the vehicles were moved; it didn't take one person to move two Urals and a few transport vehicles. I was extremely mad, and got off for awhile; they thought I wasn't coming back. I came onto the DayZ Forum and immediately saw a posting that someone was seeking hardcore bandits. I told this person that I was interested in the offer and requested a favor. "I need help getting back at my former team who killed me for nothing and now are against me". He replied; "I'm in". Thirty (30) minutes later, we're on the server. The first member of the team was spotted 150m out in the desert field. We fired the sniper rifles multiple times in his direction and killed him. "What the fu*k dude? I never killed you. Why did you kill me?". The reasoning for his death was that he took part in moving the vehicles and never took sides with me. The next was another person whom my newly-met assassin gunned down. We took a Heuy to find their new base. "Come and find me, I dare you", the betrayer said. He made excuses on how he was the only one online out of the whole team; knowing that we already took out the others. In the end; we killed all the team members, destroyed their base with items that took hours of obtaining, and set them all back to the beginning. They created new profile names, and never came back to that server again. Take note; you will eventually become a bandit for it makes survival much easier, only team up with those you know in person OR take time to formulate trust over the DayZ forum. Above all; do not turn on your teammates and expect nothing to happen. Thanks for reading, and safe hunting. -Xilstealth

Need a gang of ruthless bandits

I'm with you man. In fact, I am requiring some revenge among a group of people who I worked with for a few weeks, then they eventually killed me and turned their backs on me. It's a Panthera server and its quite good for getting supplies and whatnot, but it would be awesome to work with someone to get back at a bunch of others. PM me if you're interested
  11. I live in Canada. My timezone is Pacific Time -8. Anyone want to play together as a team and work together to that common goal? (stocking up on the goods, avoiding bandits, killing the bandits...with a vengance). If so then PM me if you would like to, You can add me through the DayZ Commander (Xilstealth). I'd like to play on a server with 24hr time with no nameplate or crosshair so that you can't see people in the distance if you coincidentially mouse over the player. -Xilstealth

Can anyone give advice for a noob

I recommend avoiding absolutely everyone unless you personally know them; assume everyone is a bandit. Avoid staying in the open; take lots of cover and move fast; slow when there are zombies around.
  13. There's a particular server I play on, it's a Norwegen one (300+ vehicles and such). Problem is making trust with others in-game. Unfortunately when I got almost everything for survival; two bandits killed me with their automatic rifles. This is the downside of DayZ as there's always someone with an advantage over you. What I'm asking is if anyone would like to play with me on a server and work together to gear up (main mission is to reach the military airstrip for gear). If anyone's interested just comment and leave a server ip, I can PM whoever later to see when ppl can play.
