These sort of things work really well for games like this , beacause you are trying to create a realistic scenario.

Do you think that this game is being played more stationary and therefore people moving around less, other then going for the occastional supply run.It would make more sense when this game get more in depth that you be allowed to do the common place things like having a garden and harvesting food that we take for granted in our world but not in a post apocalyptic society.

I think that the roaming hordes that have been mentioned would be a great idea.If you build a base your going to make noise and probably have light sources at night.Someone or something will probably notice eventually.

The whole map is full of fields that could have stuff growing in them that we could just harvest.

I think we should be allowed to harvest and that new foods could be put into the mod.

Potatoes are a very useful food and could be grown in Day Z.

So it would be like creating a Survival Cache. -
It's not minecraft it's a survival game.I think that growing food , as some have said gives people a reason to be more permanent and build a post apocalyptic society.

Transplanting would be a solution for growing, and I think it does have potential.

Time is relative and it does take time to grow crops, if this where a stand alone mmo with dedicated servers where your character would always be saved and so would your crops then it would work.I think that harvesting crops from a garden or berries from a bush would be a idea that would work.

I have always thought it would be a neat idea to build your own bases.

I like the idea of a safe haven, somewhere you could trade and even hang out.Maybe somewhere with a bar XD. -
I know there has proably been mention of this topic but I really wanted to talk about it. Melee weapons are part of the genetic make-up of any zombie survival experience.From a crow bar to a shovel to a cricket bat(Shaun of the Dead). I think these are something that should be added to the mod.

I like this map, I can see people who have been over this map alot could get bored but to me there is always something new.I would like to see player persistant towns as others have also mentioned this would add something new to the game. -

I think this game needs a few havens for survivors like towns to trade and barter with a third party npc to keep the peace.A fighting chance for all. -
